fun time with Bryan, Elaine & Ian...

4 note(s) (Click here to add a note)
This is my first time doing child photography, of cause Mom and Dad tag along for the shoot as well. To be comfortable, We had the session in the house of Bryan, Elaine & Ian! They are simply so amazing. It wasn't easy to work with little toddler like Ian here, way... aggressive that he moves so quickly, full with unexpected expressions and of cause he is too cute! I am moving a little bit more towards lifestyle photography nowadays, as I enjoy spending times with families and getting to know them! Though, wedding photography is still my priority for photography, but I am currently focusing more on lifestyle photography like engagements, family portraits, Kids photography and soon, pregnancy photography.

As the experience for this session is that, I have to work real quick as Ian, just like any other kids, don't really pause and look at you right into your lens! Basically, I have to work tremendously quick, try attracting his attention and make him smile. All pictures were shot by using ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 50mm F2.0 Macro at wide open F2.0 and I love this piece of lens very much!

Nevertheless, Lets have a view of Bryan, Elaine and Ian here!@50mm F2.0

Go Designer or Stay Shootsac?

4 note(s) (Click here to add a note)
Tell me no more stories, and here are the facts:-

I have yet to buy a Shootsac, because it’s hard to make a solid choice due to the fact that I’m being disturbed by carrying a designer bag with camera equipments while working in any photographing sessions!

Does it sound practical going with a designer bag with three lenses, a Camera body and an external Flash unit? I know there are some bags out there which allow me to do such allocation and partition, of cause lenses are held with pouches and with the (now-now) things, which makes many men’s bag out there super big, I am for sure with this raison d'ĂȘtre alone I shouldn’t doubt any further.

I have been looking around for some cool bags out there, and still looking for more options, here is something I would like to share on my investigation! And look at the variations, I would love to have something like a squarish leather tips messenger bag, something from Gucci, Hugo boss, or LV would work good for me.

Check This link Out!

Read more about my earlier post concerning Shootsac , and please judge me! I’m not changing my mind, but I just need opinions out there for me to decide which bag seem to be more appropriate and much cooler to me! Anyhow, I'm still thinking whether to spend that extra 10 times more money for the same purpose...

Wicked Goggie!

3 note(s) (Click here to add a note)
Wicked Goggie!

Let me introduce you to one of our family dogs namely Goggie, a cross breed of a terrier with a shi-tzu! He just looks so funny and adorable! Isn’t he? Sis brought him back home about 4 years ago. He was so very tiny that you can’t imagine so as to u can slot him into a wine glass without dithering when he first got home!

Two years later, sis got migrated to Singapore and left the poor little thing behind. And She misses Goggie so much that she keeps on begging me to snap a couple of photos of him as to how is he doing? Has he grown fatter? Has he got proper food? Or even did you clean his ears? (Goggie has sensitive ears)

Mom is the one whom literally took over the custody of taking care of Goggie and love him so much! Sis do occasionally comes back for holiday where they can spend their beloved time together.

As promised to my adored sis, whom I misses so much! Here are some shots of Goggie! Guys tell me if he is so cute :P?

How to bring out the elements in your photos?

0 note(s) (Click here to add a note)
Just something simple to share with you guys out there! This picture is adapted from the engagement section of Jessie & Hong .

This is the picture to start out with (picture was shot with Olympus Digital Camera E-3 and Zuiko Digital 45-150mm F3.5-4.5 @ 150mm f4.5) It is important to always start off with good light! And I always shoot with a little of towards the over exposed side:
Before

The very first thing that came to my mind would be the pole that appears to be at the background, I have decided to put that off by using simple cloning tool in photoshop. Well, I have to put some mood in the picture despite Jessie and Hong already did a very good job at posing in this picture, their expression was just for my taste; So, I muted the green at the background and put in a very slight gold-yellow color for the background. After that, I added in some vignetting effects to enhances the mood and to bring the viewers attention more towards the subjects.

Finally, I added in my beloved textures at the background very slightly as the background already have a nice grassy feel.

And here is the result!

After

P/S : Things like adjusting the curves, saturations, sharpening, and also selections was not covered in this post. Of cause, I am willing to share if you have specific questions regarding this post!

Fun with Imac's Photobooth

0 note(s) (Click here to add a note)
It is always so fun hagging around my best friends, namely Jackson, Cheng, Nicgel and Jessie. We were having so much fun with Jackson's Mac Book Pro! Many different styles and designs could be chosen from its Photobooth program that directly snap pictures from its built in camera!

We do hangout all together sometimes, we are just too busy with our own lives. Here are some of my favorites that meant so much to me!

An Upgrade/Change Choice - LEICA D SUMMILUX 25mm/F1.4 ASPH

2 note(s) (Click here to add a note)
This post continues from my earlier post...

I did have the Sigma 30mm F1.4 for awhile, and am happy with the results. It did work perfectly well with low light conditions and of cause produce creamy bokeh which many photographers are searching for. Things that I did not noticed/covered was with its quality built; I was pretty uncomfortable with its handling and the accuracy for its auto-focusing was quite redundant, well at least with my E3, Olympus.

I will get the LEICA D SUMMILUX 25mm/F1.4 ASPH soonest even it cost twice the price and of cause the quality to pay for is worth while for its built, sharpness, colors rendition and most of all the picture quality. I did put on my hands on this baby the other day, and it is just simply a beauty. I know I will get this baby so soon!
