break away to Northern Thailand 2008 - Part 7 (best food ever)

0 note(s) (Click here to add a note)
Have you ever thought of what made Thai food to be so delicious and tasty? I just love how they mix and match their herbs in every of their dishes, they bring wonderful aromas, also beautiful colors and marvelous taste to the dishes!

Northern Thai food has its distinguishable fashion that herbs are much more used in their dishes rather like Middle and Southern Thai food, they used a lot of chillies and spices.

And Basil's leaves were used in every dishes in Northern Thai food which I love the most!

The three dishes I love most for this visit are:

Herby red curry with ( 3 layers ) pork

Deep fried rice vermicelli with honey and shrimp

light scoop digital photography lighting

0 note(s) (Click here to add a note)
Light scoop, scooping your light made possible for your internal flash on your camera bodies to produce the best lighting pictures with almost the result of any external flashes. I read through and tried a few diffusers for internal flashes but they do not nail my interest at all, as results were just not outstanding enough. With Light scoop, I can now shoot without my heavy speed light for any casual moments. Of cause, external flashes still provide more flexibility and options for your lighting effects. The fact is Light Scoop really does a good job as most the light bounces from the ceiling and back onto the wall and back onto your subject providing best diffused light to your subjects.

0 note(s) (Click here to add a note)
It is a concept of design and bar. I love the atmosphere there where music and fashion were together for the opening. As usual, five of us have our monthly gathering and it was a wonderful night! I had my compact camera with me and took a few memorial moments just to share with you guys...

Introduction - what caught my attention in the bar was the fashion show; I did a crossed processing to the pictures...

fabric design? from photography...

0 note(s) (Click here to add a note)
While I was looking at the picture files from the set of Ulu Yam images that I took a few days ago, I noticed something bazaar can be created. Like wise, I always love photography and also designing, in terms of many aspects.

I pulled out a several pictures and added editing to them and created a soothing illustration that I love it so much! I think this is somehow similar to those designer fabrics. anna sui ?

Do you think this is something mysterious?

Ulu Yam waterfall @ Selangor Park

2 note(s) (Click here to add a note)
I always love the nature; likewise I would feel completely comfortable there. I do not have much chance to do hiking and sightseeing even these activities can be named as my favorites. And I completely went natural last weekend. It was actually part of my work that I wanted to research this place upon bringing my clients there for their shooting.

It wasn't easy for normal people like myself whom live in the city to actually make way deep into the springs; I do have difficulty gliding along the trees and stone paths to eventually stop at a place where we call for shooting.

This is the a magnificent view that I love how the tress created randomly scattered light throughout the scene, and the water there was just so beautiful.

Bamboos; the very tropics add elements to the beauty for being futile!

I love how the rocks formations, where the water created paths and showed the alternative ways in solving problems.

Colors were just insane, they are all natural; which were only tweaked using the levels function.

This is just so serene to me!

Textures were just simply beautiful here:

break away to Northern Thailand 2008 - Part 6 (Phrathat Doi Suthep)

0 note(s) (Click here to add a note)
Temples and statues of Lord Buddha not only eminence the beauty of Buddhist's teaching but also well famous for their designs. This temple had become a must visit place for me while I was in Chiang Mai.

The temple is located on top of Suthep Mountain and I had difficult time couching with the minivan tuning and speeding quite badly on our way up. But, it was well worth for everything while I saw the magnificent architecture that not only I gulped by saliva and I adored its beauty and stayed silence for the entire visit!

There were tourists all over the place, and I did a quick photo shoot of the pagoda, even it is badly composed here, but I still love this picture.

Sharing with light and some burning effects

0 note(s) (Click here to add a note)
How do I get this picture?

Well basically my concept as it always is to get the perfect light while shooting! I always look for the surrounding which are able to portrait some dramatic effects to any of my pictures. I shot this picture a little towards the underexposed side for the lower part of the frame just not to over burned the background as just about right exposure for the container box that reveals the beautiful sun flares strongly here.

Before
kevinganphotosample

Burning the corners was just to enhance the portraiture elements as to minimize the unwanted ones here; the grass on the foreground.

I did some adjustment on the levels selectively just not to over burn the flairs but to bring out the contrast of the subjects. Furthermore, I reduced some red tones just to smooth the skin tones to be perfectly nice for human's eyes.

As always, I added a very luminous textures at about 45% just to evoke the feel of an artistic portrait!

Enjoy!

PS: Two more things, (1) Never let the flair run through the face of your model (2) Try to pull back your blacks using selective colors... :)
