relaxing in Bangkok 2009 - Damnern Saduak Floating Market

2 note(s) (Click here to add a note)

It took us about 2 hours to get to this place from the guesthouse.

It was quite sad that Nicgel spent most of his time sleeping in the car, while I was enjoying the local 90s Thai songs, and chatting with the driver and pointing my hands in awkward directions, so that he could actually understands me.

Along the way, I saw many salt making fields and they almost looked like paddy's fields just that they have white lumps and clusters all over the fields. I didn't managed to snap any pictures of the salt's fields, rather enjoying the scenes and the music alone at the rear passenger seat.

I really enjoyed this outrages trip, and the market is really beautiful!

I took a few pictures from the floating market, hope that you guys will like them:-

relaxing in Bangkok 2009 - The Urban Age

1 note(s) (Click here to add a note)

DSLR was left in the cabinet and I was only traveling with my compact miniature Olympus Sp-350.

It is an amazing guesthouse that I visited and stayed for 3 nights in this relaxing trip to Bangkok.

This guesthouse is located in one of the best location in the city, Silom Street, which is the main central business district (CBD) in Bangkok, balance with shops, stalls, malls, multi-cultural of cuisine and Nightlifes which keep you entertained! Even in the night time, the streets have a lot to offer, the fabulous Patpong Market, Lumpinee Night Market, within walking distance, will reveal plethora of Fashion, Arts, Crafts, Furnitures, International foods, Antiques, Musics and Souveniors.

The owner is really friendly and she speaks good English, which she has gave us many tips and guides for this trip. I am amazed by her hospitality!

Just to share a few pictures from my experience in this guesthouse:-

photoshop

0 note(s) (Click here to add a note)

Some of you guys asked me questions about using Photoshop and how to achieve result that you wanted (step by step basis), and what makes a picture to worth more impacts!?

From my experiences, Photoshop skills for photography do not come in one night, rather its practices and understanding of tools technique in Photoshop, and what/how to make pictures that are more impacted! There are so many techniques out there which is impossible to make a number, but it is important that you to at least understand the basic of Photoshop, which is the programme alone.

Argh! I am too bored to learn this programme like any other textbooks that guide you like your Calculus. I know many of us really want to see at least some results that would make your photographs become more outstanding! Me myself, do not have any background of photography/design and I started learning them step by step using the old textbook's format three years ago. Of cause there are many tutorials out there in the web which may at least help you to improve your photographs, not only that, you are also learning the techniques! By the time you already know many of the techniques, you may intrigued them and by selection and combination, you may produce your own editing style/personal taste to enhance your photographs further!

No matter your taking professional photographs, enthusiast photographs, and/or for home uses, I think Photoshop is important and it will really bring out the essence of the beauty and mood to any pictures.

Well, to at least get you started, here is a lot sum of tutorials from dphotojounal.com.

To me, every pictures that I snapped, I want it to be a piece of art.
