::new what? oh, new moon::

The Twilight series? Definitely hyped up...like, overly. BUT I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed the books (what can I say? I'm secretly a cheeseball, however, outwordly nonchalant). So when word on the street said that they were going to make the books into a movie. I was secretly excited, outwordly nonchalant. However, my secret dreams came crashing down around me when the first movie flopped, in my opinion. I thought they stuck too strictly to the book, which was unecessary since script writing is completely different from novel writing, even the cheesy novels. So, I didn't think that it was all that great. As a matter of fact I think it is:
- lame
- lazy
- laxidasical
- ludicrous
- a real lemon
- ...i have run out of "l" words
- to continue...
Perhaps this seems harsh to some of you. I ask you to recall the part where Edward refers to Bella as a "spider monkey." I ask you, if the love of your life called you a "spider monkey" when trying to be romantic and endearing would you find this romantic and endearing? I think not, at least I would not. Again, I ask you, do you recall those words ever being said in the book? 1, 2, 3, or 4? If they are going to stick to the book conversations so painstakingly, this phrase was somehow overlooked as actually BEING in the book...anyways, outwordly nonchalant...I could go on, but I will refrain from doing so, because it is after all the movie I hate, but love.
HOWEVER!!! I believe that New Moon has somewhat redeemed the movie series for me. Still not quite up to par...but getting there. YAY, for getting a new director who taught the actors how to do their job. Okay, okay that was kind of harsh...kind of.......moving on...
I thought that New Moon was way fun to watch. Yes, I laughed at the cheesiness. No, I did not cheer as the title came on. Yes, I wanted to...jk...(outwordly nonchalant). No, I did not throw up when Edward took his shirt off. Yes, I wanted to...NOT jk.
In the words of a friend (not necessarily mine...but it made me laugh)
"Oh Edward, keep the shirt on sweetheart, Jacob's got it covered..."
so true, so true...
And at least Edward wasn't too much of a creeper in this movie and didn't look like he was going to barf every time he saw Bella...oh wait, he wasn't in half of the movie...hmmm...interesting...
Alright, alright I'm done. The beginning and the end is I liked New Moon, BUT do not buy into all the hype about it...you will be disappointed...unless you are so in love with the series that love has made you blind.

::i really want::

an iPod. Way bad.
The problem is I always have other things I can spend that $100 on. Like, for example, food, textbooks, and my education...but...
I think it may be time to get one.
