Check it out here! I was lucky enough to be asked to be a guest blogger on the Etsy Blog. My post on curating an art wall went up today. It was lots of fun to do, and the folks over there are very professional and sweet. There is plenty of wonderful art on Etsy, so if you don't frequent that space, give it a look.

New Work on Etsy
Here is what I've been working on lately. I'm continuing with the poured acrylic bubble studies, and the drawings on re-purposed (used!) Chemiex coffee filters. I have a whole stack of these ready to go, so you will be seeing more of them. I've been doing some of my blue pen drawings lately too, but I'll show you those another time. My Etsy shop is here.

Growth and Repair
Long post, I know, but I've been working and thinking. I realize that much of what I draw and paint has to do with growth and repair. Roots, rivulets, nets, weaves, mends. Organic processes. I believe in repair as a means of growth. Repairing what is broken; reaching across some strain to mend. It's easier to give up and start something new, but I don't think the beauty comes from that, but rather in the growth that comes from repair. I've also re-opened my Etsy shop, and am planning to put some of these in the shop in the next few days. I also realized I liked to keep the best stuff for myself, to remind myself that I can do it. But I'm changing that and offering my best because I have faith in the process!
