LMCB - GO CANADA

Happy Canada Day everyone!!!!

Sorry I am late with my post... seriously it has been one of those days!! Lucky tomorrow is a holiday so I get another chance for the weekend!

Lasting memories has another great challenge going on this week...

RED AND WHITE OR RED,WHITE AND BLUE

Since I am Canadian... I went for the red and white but I did throw in the blue button for my American and British friends!

I used CTMH stamp and cricut cart art philosophy for the small leafs, Destinations for the large maple leaf and the font is Alphalicious

I struggled with this LO today - my cricut was going crazy and not doing what it was suppose to do... when through four sheets of red and white paper.... argghhh

when out bough a new blade - came back found out it was the cheap paper!!!

no more from Walmart for me!!

(well maybe for the background - lol)

LM - Celebrating mom or someone special

Good Morning everyone

Lasting memories has another great challenge for this coming week!

Time to Celebrate mom or someone special in your life, maybe show us how you celebrated your Mother's day. For the challenge I made this LO of my Nana and I when I was just a baby. Don't we look alike (teehee). I have very found memories of her. She was an amazing Nana... becoming my lunch room teacher as a child and always there for me. I still think that something is missing... maybe a large NANA in the top left above the 1971 in the cream colours... tell me what you all think??

The paper I picked up from my LSS's garage sale. Oh my there is someone out there that put all my favorite papers into the sale and I spent way too much money - lol

I can't believe how different the colours look in each of these pictures... the true colour is in between both the pictures. I added some little dots between the zig zag to add a bit of dimension.

Not so Picture perfect!

Hahaha....

So every child plays around with the camera and my daughter is no different except that she has a scrappy Mom and thinks nothing of making a fun page out of the funny pictures she took as a child. (I still think that she is picture perfect in my eyes)

These pictures are from when Sarah was 11 ish...

all I have to say is she should be thankful that I didn't pick the picture with the flash up her nose... lol!!

A close up shot of the camera made with the cricut "create a critter" cut at 2.5 added some bling, faux stitching and some liquid glass and voilà... instant camera..

Lasting Memories - Ribbon Challenge

Hellloooooo everyone!

I hope you are all having a great long weekend!
lasting memories is having another challenge - this one is super easy...
Use a RIBBON on your layout - see easy peezy!
I made this layout for the challenge...

When my baby was younger I would say to her "I love you more than anything!" and she would say "No, I love you more than anything!" I would explain that it is impossible for her to love me more.. it became a debate between us.. and then our saying to each other was formed...

"I love you more than anything that's impossible I said it first!"

I know cheezy... but she is nineteen and will still say it to me - gotta love it!
