One of the birthday presents I recently received is this can of custom blend coffee. It was roasted and blended by Bongo Java in Nashville. Some years ago, I was a very regular hang-out at Bongo Java's coffee house. Excellent brew, and a pleasant place to stop if you ever visit Music City here in Tennessee.
I would be remiss if I did not mentioned that the can design was created for Bongo Java by one of my children. Note, his web site is mentioned near the bottom of the can, if you would like to see more of his art and activities!!

ooooh
what a great present, both the object in itself and the joy of being such a proud father!!! i am here, sharing the joy with you, through this post for which i am grateful...
Thanks Roxana. Sam is kindness at the speed of light....
A thoughtful birthday gift, and what an artistic family you are. I am impressed by the art on the can. Thanks for showing it here.
we both have four children, one of which is called Sam (grin). What an awesome and unique gift - I would be soooo proud if that were me (depite the fact I don't drink coffee)! I'm off to google his site..
I love Sam's tribute to the Super Mario Brothers game – the Mushroom Kingdom.
Side note: Dan, I'm not sure if you know this – back in the '70s I lived in that old house where Bongo Java now resides. Can you imagine the memories that flood my mind every time I go there?
Dee, No, I didn't know that! Cool place and location!
Now I have to put this Bongo Java on my list of places to visit. Nothing beats a great cup of coffee sipped with good company at a fine location, unless the can is designed by one's very own son!
I've just returned from Sam's site, what an acomplished and talented human being you've raised (handsome, too)! Looks like he's done you proud..
Stickup, If you should one day make it to Bongo Java...I am sure Dee and I would both delight in showing you our part of the country!
Shrinky: Yes, quite proud, of course!
