Don't You Ever Ever Feel Like You're Nothing, Coz You're Perfect!

Pink - Perfect

Made a wrong turn, once or twice.
Dug my way out, blood and fire.
Bad decisions, that's alright.
Welcome to my silly life.
Mistreated, misplaced, misunderstood.
Miss 'No way, it's all good', it didn't slow me down.
Mistaken, always second guessing, underestimated.
Look i'm still around.

Pretty pretty please, don't you ever ever feel.
Like you're less than fuckin' perfect.
Pretty pretty please, if you ever ever feel, like you're nothing.
You're fuckin' perfect to me!

You're so mean, when you talk, about yourself you were wrong.
Change the voices, in your head, make them like you instead.
So complicated, look happy, you'll make it!
Filled with so much hatred, such a tired game.
It's enough! I've done all I can think of.
Chased down all my demons, i've seen you do the same.

Woah ohh, pretty pretty please, don't you ever ever feel.
Like you're less than fuckin' perfect.
Pretty pretty please, if you ever ever feel, like you're nothing.
You're fuckin' perfect to me.

The whole world's scared so I swallow the fear.
The only thing I should be drinking is an ice cold beer.
So cool in line, and we try try try, but we try too hard and it's a waste of my time.
Done looking for the critics, cause they're everywhere.
They dont like my jeans, they don't get my hair.
Exchange ourselves, and we do it all the time.
Why do we do that? Why do I do that?

Why do I do that?

Yeah, oh, oh baby, pretty baby!
Pretty pretty please, don't you ever ever feel.
Like you're less than fuckin' perfect.
Pretty pretty please, if you ever ever feel.
Like you're nothing, you're fuckin' perfect to me yeahhh.
You're perfect, you're perfect!
Ohh pretty pretty please, don't you ever ever feel.
Like you're less than fuckin' perfect.
Pretty please, if you ever ever feel, like you're nothing.
You are perfect to me...

Very good reminder for every one of us. No matter what happened in the past, let bygones be bygones and everyday is a brand new day, brand new beginning. Next time I will not sing to myself but sing to everyone! (Thanks :) Time to let it go and sing my hearts out for the next song, BORN THIS WAY - LADY GAGA. Yeap! I've composed the basic piano accompaniment, trying to add a little 'Rock' flavour in it and play the piano standing up while singing, just like Lady Gaga.

So Never stop trying, never stop believing~" -  ~LiYinism~

Wew, isn't it philosopher-ish or what! :D

Tamagoyaki attempt - SUCCESS!!

30 Questions About Your Future
(Helmstetter,Shed. The Gift, Chapter 9)

What do you see when you look into your own future?
What do you want to see?
TO help you find out, here are 30 questions I recommend you ask yourself frequently - to make sure you have a clear picture of the exact future you would like to create. Answer each one of the questions with a description of the picture you'l most like to see. When you answer, be as descriptive and as detailed as you can. (That's how you create focus.)

When you answer these 30 questions, you could go just a year or two years into your future, or even 5 years or more - any future date you'd like to look at. But for now, we're going to go to today's date, exactly two years from today? From this moment, what would you most want to see?

30 Questions About Your Future 2 Years from Today:

  1. What is your job, or what are you doing as your vocation?
  2. Where do you spend your daily "work" time; that is, what is your physical environment? (Home, office, in your car, on the beach...)
  3. Are you doing, for your work, exactly what you'd most like to be doing?
  4. How many hours a day do you work?
  5. How many days a week do you work?
  6. How many days or weeks of vocation time, or off-time do you have each year?
  7. How successful are you in your work?
  8. How much do you earn each year (specifically)?
  9. How much money do you have in the bank, or in investments (specifically)?
  10. What debts do you owe, if any?
  11. As a result of your work, are you reaching your longer-term objectives? (what are they?)
  12. Is there anything still standing in the way of you reaching those objectives?
  13. If there is, what are you doing about that - in the future picture of you?
  14. What specifically do you do most to enhance your education or improve  your mind?
  15. In this future picture, who, if anyone, is working in your picture with you, and what do they do?
  16. Who are your best friends?
  17. Who, other than your family members, do you spend your time with most?
  18. What do you do most in your spare time?
  19. What are some other activities you most like to participate in?
  20. Describe your family in this picture.
  21. How is your relationship with each of the members of your family?
  22. How much of your time do you spend with your family?
  23. In general, in this picture, what is the one thing you do that makes you the happiest?
  24. In this picture, what, if anything, is something you do that makes you the least happy?
  25. What has been your greatest accomplishment during the past two years?
  26. Where do you live?
  27. What kind of home do you live in? (Describe it in detail)
  28. What kind of car do you drive?
  29. If you could change anything about your life in this picture, what would it be?
  30. What are one or two goals you would like to accomplish in the following two years (after this picture)?

O___O
Gosh, I literally typed that all out and while reading, and I am feeling nauseous now. Visualizing to realize it? Or izit unnesecary worrying? Should I Regain my senses and suffer for 30 minutes or even one hour to answer all those questions? It should be worth it?

Week after week, you'd be fine-tuning the focus of the lens through which you see your own future. In doing that, your picture would become clearer and clear. Goal-setting would come easily to you, because you'd know exactly what you want. Eventually, you'd know exactly what you needed to do - and every step to take.)

Your Best Possible Future Begins
the Moment You See it Clearly

To do this, you have to spend time on yourself. But you're worth it, and it's one of the most valuable ways you'll ever spend your time. Talk about your future. Think about it. Tell yourself what you like and what you don't like. Share the picture of your future with trusted friends - those who are supportive - and each time you do, see the picture a little more clearly.

To do this well, you have to take the time to do it - you have to devote this important time to yourself. That's not self-cenetered - that's essential! Focus in life, for any of us, doesn't come by accident. Everyone, without exception, who has found their focus, has had to take the time to do it.

If you do the same thing, if you take the time, your pictures will become sharp and clear, and full of details. The moment you behin to see your future with that kind of bright, positive clarity is the moment you'll begin to create it.

What if You're Just Not Sure
What You Really Want?

A lot of people, even after they work on it for a short while, still aren't sure what their focus should be. Don't worry if you just can't see it yet/ Finding what you want is a "skill" as well as an experience of exploration, and you have to practice. The more you work at it, the better you'll get.

I know people who haven't spent a solid hour of figuring out what they really wanted out of life since they sat down for 20 minutes with their guidance counselor in highschool.

The more you sit down with yourself now, or with people you trust who believe in you, and keep asking yourself the same questions, the more the answers will come to you. Give it time; they WILL come.

If You Really Want to Have an Incredible Future
- There's One More Thing You Have to Do.

The final step in making sure you find your focus - and your fulfillment - is to daydream. That's right. Do exactly what people told us to stop doing when we were kids.

Daydream a lot. everyday. Daydream any chance you get - like on the way to work, or while you're relaxing in the bath, or just before you go to sleep at night, or anytime you have a few minutes with your own thoughts. Go for it! Dream! Visualize that you can have anything you can imagine. Have the time of your life. You should. When you're daydreaming about your future, you're creating the time of your life.

And don't worry about overdoing it. Just keep daydreaming. Dreams - the kind of dreams you dream when you're awake - have a way of turning into goals, AND THEN INTO PLANS, and then INTO ACTION. Daytime dreams, visited often, have a way of coming true.

Ask yourself the question, "Who am I really, and what do I really want?" Write it on a card and carry it with you. Ask the question over and over - Who am I really, and what do I want? You might surprise your self when, soon after you've begun doing that, you start to get some answers. And then, one day, out of no where, the answers jumps out at you, and you realize, "That's who I am, and that's what I want!" After that, you may find that actually getting there is the easy part.

Alrights! I shall give myself time and answer those questions.
It's our own life afterall we are leading, and no one else knows our feeling and what we want better than ourselves. All the best to all of us!!!! :)

As for now, let me share with you a little success for the day:
My first attempt to prepare tamagoyaki!
Learnt from the in-house-Japanese-chef-Jia! ;)

3 eggs, shoyu, Japanese flavouring - dashi (recommended), 1 tbs of sugar, 1/2 tbs salt does all the trick!

1. A thin layer of egg.
2. Roll it up when the layer is cooked.

3. Continue the process of pouring thin layer of the mixture and rolling over when cooked.

 TADAHHH!!!

Insist of taking photos with it eventhough with my 'chan' look.

Our heartful meal!!

Look at the pretty layers :) :) :) *proud*

For now, go answer the 30 questions.
No pain no gain!

一緒にがんばりましょう!

The Gift.

'You have the most amazing life in front of you!
No matter where you've been, who you are, or what you've done with your life up to now,
your life, from today on, is just the beginning.'

Exhilarating to be greeted with this first paragraph from the book, The Gift, from the 1st chapter;
The Gifts that Make Your Dreams Come True.

'It doesn't really make any difference what you've done in your job or career, how much education you have, what problems you've had in the past, or how much money you have in the bank. The only thing that counts is that you are you, right now, today - and you were born to live an incredible life. A life that is filled with promise and potential. You were born to be the best of yourself, and to bring that "self" to life.

If you choose to live up to the promise you were born with, you have the chance to do that. You get to dream - and you get to make your dreams happen. You get to be the "you" that you were born to be in the first place.'

I love how they phrase the sentense where everyone is given chance,
everyone has a choice.

Just started reading the book today. 1 hour read everyday, 30 minutes MRT ride one way if only I have another pair of eyes to be able to walk and read! The habit of reading has developed since living in Singapore. Access to limitless resource of books in the libraries plus it's a must to have a library in every area by the government make Singapore a very conducive place for living and learning. And not to mention the easy book-drop-chutes located strategically at nooks and corners of the city enable books to be returned conveniently. Partly because we have nothing much to do during MRT rides, people watching in Singapore is quite boring and it's rude to stare, might as well do something that is more constructive.

It's Friday tomorrow! TGIFriday sure come fast this week!

Finally confirmed Barcelona trip and imma visit the first ever building I studied in Architecture,
Sagrada Familia by Antoni Gaudi! And yes I'm going to Europe finally! Spain will be the first!
Exclamation marks! Obviously I am quite hyped up! Europe! Finally! :)

Paris is still pending.
Crossed fingers and hope for the best.
Will be open for shopping lists if the trip is on ;)

Awesome colleagues.
Greeted with roses + chocolates definitely brighten up our day!

Itacho Sushi @ Bugis.

Only $0.40!

$1 Pork sushi.
My first time trying it.

Egg, somebody's all time favourite!

Live life to the fullest and 知足长乐
As must as how I'm happy with everything now, I'm still not there yet so I'm still striving for the best.
Contradicting it may sound but I guess that's life, we have our ups and downs and it's about standing up when we fall.

"We learn wisdom from failure much more than from success; we often discover what will do, by finding out what will not do; and probably he who never make a mistake never made a discovery."
Samuel Smiles

"A life spent in making mistakes is not only more honourable but more useful than a life spent doing nothing."
George Bernard Shaw

"If you're not making mistakes, then you're not doing anything. I'm positive that a doer makes mistakes."
John Wooden

"Correction does much, but encouragement does more."
Goethe

"To avoid criticism do nothing, say nothing, be nothing."
Elbert Hubbard

The last one sounds really sarcastic, me likey!
So, everyone, go for it, go for the life you want, be the one that takes charge and do the mistakes, because
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
Mark Twain.

I am the Pioneer of Long + Huge Profile pic in Facebook.

Among the list of items-to-blog, here is the post of HOW TO HAVE HUGEASS PROFILE PICTURE IN FACEBOOK just like mine, which I have been having since my All-Hail-Vanity-Genius-Cells kicked in (Approximately 2 years + ago?). Aights it's nothing to do with the picture above just because I think that I look pretty there so I posted it up. Super small face! This proves how deceiving a photo can be! Okay back to the topic, many have been asking me on how I do it; how to have such huge photo as Facebook profile picture?

Yes, I am the pioneer slash founder of how to post long pictures in Facebook,
and if you are reading this, congratulations! You should be proud!

*slaps*

Okay, enough of boasting and here it is.
on HOW TO HAVE HUGE LONG PROFILE PICTURE IN FACEBOOK.

3 easy peasy steps:

 1. Click on "Make this my Profile picture" button.

2. Automatically, Facebook will detect your face and a frame will appear framing your face.

3. Drag on any side of the frame up/down.

For me, I normally drag it to the edge of the photo to maximize the space.
No doubt I'm a future Architect, being meticulous and maximizing every single space.

Space = money.

4. Click "Finish Cropping" button and TADAH!! There you have it! A HUGEASS Facebook Profile Picture!!

Alternatively, you can always crop your picture in Photoshop/Lightroom to a long shape and upload it as your Profile pic.

Now go try it.

I'm fore-seeing a lot of long profile picture in the future.
Even Lady Gaga has learnt it from me I am not joking!
HAHAHAHHAHAHA *slaps*
Or maybe I'm just vain.

Bokeh Effect Shapes, DIY! ;)

And so, after promising that I'll have a tutorial *brings out liyinism-tutorialism-mode* on the bokeh shapes effect last year *click*, finally here is the post on how to do it!

Things you need:
  1. Pencil - to draw out the circle and shapes.
  2. Cutter - please don't cut yourself as it can be a strenuous procedure to cut out the small desired shapes.
  3. Cutting matt - You don't want your pretty table to be scratched!
  4. Black paper - at least one sided like mine is fine.

Steps to cut out the shapes for the bokeh:

1.  Draw out the circular shapes to cover the lens.
*Important note: Remember to have a 'hinge' kinda thing sticking out for easy removal of the paper from the lens.
2. Draw the desired shapes which is approximately 1.5cm square.
3. Cut them out!

3 easy peasy steps!

Tada!!!!
Time required: approximately 30 minutes.

Since I had CHANEL logo the last time, this time a new one.
No you did not see an LV logo. :P

Place it infront of your lens.

*spot that my fingers are actually holding the 'hinge' that I was telling you for easy removal from lens.

 Snow flakes daisuki!!
One of my favourite shape, how could I ever forget.

Now you can transform this (it is just my computer screen with a few colourful dots I drew in photoshop):

to THIS!!!!!:

That's all! Now, it's your turn! Have fun ;)

Girls who Don't put on Make Up are plain lazy, or are they Over-Estimating Their Beauty?

Oh well I guess both applies to me T________T

I had a "lecture" from Jia and Mee yesterday after Jia saw the worn out fatigue me when I met her up at Suntec City for lunch with my ungroomed hair and the so-called-"natural"-look-(face without make-up)

Time for a make-over. Maybe a fringe. again.
No thank you to short hair with my big wide face.

Hmmmm.. I remember I've got many things to say but I can't seem to churn out whatever.
I guess I'll leave it here for the time being and raining mad cats and dogs this morning was an utter havoc chaos whatever you wanna call it. But if there is any HERMES bag swimming like last time (I wonder how far it's true got so geng or not) imma jump into Orchard river. *serious*

Put on make-up is a must for work from now onwards, if I am able not 10 minutes before the time to leave :\

HAHA. omg. okay. maramee I will :)

Imma stop here now, 1st anniversary of MJ's.

Meanwhile, imma have an update on 2 evenings with dear pretty herng ♥

I love how she loves putting on make-up, although she is already flawlessly pretty with her porcelain skin ;)

Okay a lot of imma in this post blame the keep-on-replaying-immabe-by BEP-from-my-iPhone.

LTY- Boys Like Girls ft. Taylor Swift- Two is Better than One

t

A little out of tune hehehe too high notes to reach but the accompaniment is still not bad right?
composed it myself hehehehehe I know its nice thank you..

*slap*

Seems like there are so many things I wanna do in life.
Of course what comes in priority is architect (since I spent RM-we-know-what-amount and 4 years of my youth and sleepless nights studying it) and meanwhile I wanna be a fashion designer, and then now what, singer?

Siao or not why are there so many interesting choices in life that I have to make?

The road not taken; oh well everybody knows taking the path to be an architect sure is what expected and more realistic (what you wanna be a fashion designer?! Later end up being a tailor instead. Harrrr you wanna sing?! You think you're Leona Lewis izit if your goal is to go to the CNY stage and sing then can la but no leh nowadays singers can earn big bucks yet again who am I to be at par with all of those in Grammy Awards T____T)

Okay, so anyway what I'm saying is, I'm at my prime of my life (22-25) coz we ain't as lucky as the guys, being more and more attractive as they grow older and YES THIS IS THE PRIME OF MY LIFE. How am I to spend it to optimize every moment of this??

FashionTECTURE has been set off to begin everything but no, I wouldn't wanna spend these years just taking pictures and posting and waiting for purchases and sending it to the post office and the cycle goes on.

I want to be an airstewardess HAHAHHAHA YES CRAZY YOU MIGHT SAY and initially everything seems okay, just explore and go do whatever you want to do in life but what happens if I really get chosen and getting bound to a 2 year contract? I'll be wasting 2 years, TWO YEARS of my prime life being a waitress on air and by the time I want to stop I'll be what? 25?

Getting an internship but hoollaah, more AutoCAD and sitting in the office and talking about head hunted, no doubt I SHOULD be able to deliver every task that is given to me but I'll be then sitting in the office 24/7 doing something that I am not really interested in. Not having any chance to be part of the design team (unless I'm lucky enough to be one of the top team) and yes, everything I do during internship will help me in my future to becoming an architect but is being an architect all I want in life?

Why oh why, mee was saying she thinks for the best of me, wanting me to get a good and capable beau for my life, not wanting me to waste the prime of my life away, afraid that once this period is over, year by year I'll be stuck while others are all living in the rat race and I'll be all alone without anybody CHOY!!

Aiyo, I don't know everything seems really perplexing and I give myself an excuse till after CNY. Please oh please CNY come slowly for I still daunt the future that awaits me.

HAIYO SO BISING FOR WHAT JUST GET AN INTERNSHIP AND GET ON WITH LIFE LIM LI YIN!

Yea maybe I should. sighness.

Time to practice Final Fantasy Fighting song. woohooooo..
Till then, xoxo~

D.I.Y.Fun!

I felt motivated after successfully selling the BURBERRY inspired bag this afternoon to a Malaysian, Penang lang, from Kulim! What a small small world! We had a short chat when we met at Melbourne Central but too bad she had to run due to the 15 minute parking.

So anyway I was motivated to D.I.Y after successfully selling the bag with a swift replacement of the broken stripe with my dunno-from-where-bag-stripe (now you know how many junk I store throughout the year like omg-ness dunno where everything comes from lor!) And so due to Gu Jun Pyo overdose (outfits he wore for the final few episodes), I had this idea of taking the rocker studs out from the belt Ai Ming gave me :) and stud them into my Cotton On hat I got myself yesterday for only $5 hahahahaahhaa!

Getting started.

Painstakingly removed the studs which was time consuming but exciting.

After the strenuous process:

JENG JENG JENG~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Fualao so old soli.

Time for more eye serum :\

SPOT THE CURLS THE WONDERS OF CORIOLISS.

And I have to put the apartment keys around my neck 24/7 to prevent myself from locking myself outside you know how blur I can be!

ROCKSTAR!

Sunday, July 26, 2009

I AM SUCH A GENIUS.

After a 10-hour-good-night-sleep.

WOLLLAHHH!!

A brilliant idea came out, out of the blue!

Even mee is concerned.

AND GUESS WHAT!

No need the hassle to change bloggie!
LiYinism is still ROCKIN!

SongKeat and I discussed, about changing my current "LiYinism" blog name to something else, while create a new blog with the same old "LiYinism" again and yada yada all the hassle plus the selections of breadth subjects that are making me go KUREZIE (crazy) yada yada yada and me settling my timetable, allocating time allowing me to continue working at my same old restaurant (free lunch leh who doesn't wanna work there) yada yada yada so many things bothering me I can't even think straight yada yada yada I ended up, WHAMP!

SLEEP.

wahlaoness instead of worrying this and that, photobucket or picasa, asian architecture or compostitional analysis, landscape assessment and planning or visual communication, multicultural/ postcolonial cities or landscape heritage, TOO MANY THINGS TO AGITATE ME!

the only resort, SLEEP.

Wakalukong sleeping is the best activity ever invented, where human get to rest their body and mind, a platform without having to be concerned about what's happening around them, which of course: IS JUST TEMPORARY. =-="

Sleeping has been imbued in my biological(?) system since young, YES SINCE YOUNG AM TELLING YOU NO JOKE.
All thanks to Mee and Dee who have been the ones supporting us to have enough sleep no matter what.

Since primary/secondary school days, whenever there are school examination, sports day, Piano practical or theory exam, the most important thing to have enough is SLEEP, no matter if we've finished studying or practicing. That's why the result of where am standing today what am proud of myself cannot izit.

That's why you see right now, eventhough I'm an architecture student which presumely is the course whereby all students will not have enough sleep and ended up looking like a zombie, oh! Suddenly came out with a word, ZORCHITECTS! (Zombie architects) さすがsasuga 果然archiTORTURE T_T

Anyway, Throughout the 3.5 years of architectural studies, I've been famous for the one who gets the MOST SLEEP. Over-nighting or not sleeping for a few days?! CALL ME OUT!

But then again when it comes to times of desperation, I still have to NOT SLEEP FOR AT LEAST 2 DAYS. (Taylor's semester 4 3D Max nightmare)
So now you can roughly imagine how torturous architecture course is T_____T

Females need their beauty sleep, that's why i doubt I'll be continueing architecture after this....*pause pondering*...... Okay maybe after I've got to know what the architecture industry is all about, gain some working experience after degree then I'll decide ;)

Brilliant idea eih! :D

ifnotwakalukongbyebyearchiteturehellofashion/music/fashionTECTURE! WOOT!

Oh yea back to my topic!

tutorialism:
EXCEEDED YOUR PICASA SPACE LIMIT!?!
NO WORRIES!

MY GENIUS RESOLUTION TO ATTAIN THIS LIYINISM BLOG:

  1. Create a new blog with a new email address.
  2. Open 2 windows (preferably one firefox and IE for another)
  3. Upload your pretty picture using your new email address blogger.
  4. Copy and paste the picture to your current blog.
  5. TADAH!!!
  6. Satisfied smile! :D

Wollah I also dunno why I'm so clever, but well it's all in the genes. *slap*

And my friends, I know you are wondering why my pictures can be huge-ass without having to use photobucket/ flickr.

Well thanks to SongKeat for teaching me!

tutorialism:
HOW TO INSERT HUGE-ASS PICTURES IN YOUR BLOG:

  1. Instead of going to blogger.com, type "draft.blogger.com"
  2. You'll get into a window almost similiar to blogger.com except there's a draft word there (duh)
  3. Do the same thing, go to "New Post" and upload your pretty pix.
  4. However over here you get to upload as many pix as you like (unlike blogger.com which only allows 5 pix once)
  5. After uploading all pictures, just click the picture you want first and click "Add image"
  6. You'll see your picture is STILL AS SMALL as when you upload using "blogger.com"
  7. HERE COMES THE HARD PART.
  8. After inserting all the pix, go to the "edit HTML" tag on the top right.
  9. search for s320 and switch it to s400(for large) s640 (for extra large) or s800 (for humongous large)
  10. Click back to "compose".
  11. BE AMAZED.
  12. I know you'll see a lot of weird coding, my advice to you, click "ctrl , f "
  13. There'll be a "find" column, type "320" into it, and wollah, the 320 will be highlighted for you straight away.
  14. Change it from there all the "320" to the size you want and go back to "compose" tag
  15. BE AMAZED.

Herng and KhaiShing! Hopefully you find this informative :)

This is my first time explaining procedures through writing, I'm quite bad in explaining things hence the lack of "tutorialisms" (another lame word coming out out of the blue by LiYinism).
Hopefully it's informative!

xoxo

P/s: Dee called me to so-called "advertise" (like very geng) sehancek's (my uncle) website through my LiYinism.
