FINALLY after months of looking, the Davis Family has found a house, and if all goes well, we should be closing on April 15th! I am so excited I could probably carry all of our stuff from storage on my back to our house in Madison! The neighborhood has lots of kids which is a huge plus! We're going to try and let Maddie Gray pick the color of her room with a little help from Mommy of course! She says she wants to paint it pink & blue, so I think I'll just pick one color pink and one color blue and let her choose that way. It's even hard for me to pick colors, so I can't imagine being 2 1/2 and trying to choose. It's 4 bedrooms, so we'll still have a guest bedroom and hopefully someday, we'll put another Davis baby in the other. There's also a nice deck off the back porch which will be nice in the summer and early fall.
I think Josh is a little nervous about saying, "it's our house" because I guess right now it isn't, but I truly believe this is our house. I knew it from the minute we walked in it... Okay, I lied. I hated it when we first went in, but in my defense we had just started looking. Josh wanted to go back in it and after going back in the second time, I knew it was our house. It's perfect for us. There's even a 3 year old next door named Davis!! How perfect is that? At least I know I will never forget his name!
We are also leaving for Texas week after next to see Josh's youngest brother Matt graduate from Air Force basic training! I'm so proud of little Matt. I've known him since he was 8, and I have never been more proud of him. Josh has also gotten back into the Guard, which most people don't understand. I can honestly say I think it has been and will continue to be good for him. I am most proud of the man I married.
Lastly, in my blog update, I am happy to report that I have a 4.0 at mid-term. I may only be taking 6 hours, but there were some days that it felt like I was taking 30! I am so proud of myself, so I feel like this house is my "pearl!" What a gift! After we close, and we get semi moved in, I will post pictures of the inside of the house!!!!!
