BBTB2 - Breast Cancer Awareness

Happy Monday!!!

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month
so this week over at BBTB2 we have a challenge
focused on this important topic.
Use a bra or woman on your projects.

Cancer Sucks!
It doesn't matter what kind it is, it sucks!
So get screened, ladies!
A mammogram isn't that big of a deal,
I have had one myself and it is too important not to.

So anyway, for my project I decided to use the
bra from Forever Young - it' so frilly and pretty :)

I really like blacks and pinks combined.

My papers are from Heidi Swapp
and American Crafts.

The sentiment is from My Craft Spot "Get Well Soon".

The jewels are from Darice (JoAnn's).

I hope you will join us over at BBTB2!

Thanks for checkin' in!!!

Mother's Day!

For my project I decided to follow the sketch from Mojo Monday's Tall & Skinny they have going on this week.  My papers come from ColorBok (Walmart), Imaginesce, My Mind's Eye, and Authentique.
The image is from Forever Young, it is one of the Emblems that this cart has, it's under "model 11".
My flowers are from Prima and the pearls are from Recollection's.
The ribbon is from American Crafts.
I LOVE pink so when I decided to follow along with My Craft Spot's challenge of black and white plus ONE color, it had to be pink!
I am also going to link this up over at

BBTB2 - Get Well Soon

This week over at BBTB2, it's my turn to host the challenge!!!  I decided that because it's winter, one of the things that we deal with is sickness - I know - NO FUN! But when someone does get sick, isn't it always nice to send them a little card wishing them well?  So I figured this is a great time to stock up on our
Get Well Cards.

My card was made as follows:  The flower was cut from Forever Young (flower2) cut at 3 1/2" and Elegant Edges scallop mat cut at 4". The paper is from My Mind's Eye Indie Chic 6x6 paper pad and Recollection's ribbon and flat back pearls.  The sentiment is from My Craft Spot's "Feel Better Soon" stamp set.  Super easy to put together.

I hope you will join us this week over at BBTB2 for our challenge!
Thanks for checkin' in!!!

Just A Note...

Cricut, Forever Young, Modern Wallpaper, Embossing, Cuttlebug

I am so excited how this card all came together!  When I pulled out my black and white scraps to go through for a couple challenges, I had a few pieces of, I guess, damask pattern paper and I immediately thought of my sister. She just finished up a semester towards her 2nd Bachelor's Degree and has many more to go; I'm super proud of her and wanted her to know that and give her a bit of encouragment, so she was my inspiration for this card.  Anyway, My Creative Time's challenge is to create a black & white card, while HIMCR is having the Super Scraps Saturday challenge.  I pulled out my Forever Young cartridge and found a model with, what looked like to me, a maxi dress and I knew that's the one to use for my sister.  I also cut the frame and shadow frame behind her from the same cart.  I did emboss my white mat with the Cuttlebug's Modern Wallpaper embossing folder, and I LOVE how it looks.  I embellished the card with a matching flower and two buttons, added the sentiment on the bottom and called it complete!  An Inky Situation also has a challenge to use buttons, so I'll be entering it there too.  I really hope my sis likes this card, I think it turned out great.  I have a video on how it all came together, hope you'll check it out!
