Marks Paper Co Challenge

I am so excited to be showing this project! Every month Marks Paper Company has a challenge where you have to create something using their products. Well, this month the challenge was to recylce. I found a piece of cardboard laying around my house as well as a empty heart box that used to contain Valentine Candy. I traced the heart on the cardboard, cut it out, and created this 2010 Refrigerator Calendar. On the back are 2 magnets to keep it situated on the fridge. I used two papers from their Old Fashioned Courtship Line (Long Walk/Rouge and County Fair/Porch Swing). I cut the flower out of the Long Walk/Rouge paper as well as all the paper in between the stems. I used scissors, but you can use an exacto knife. I created the borders using my threading water punch and Coordinations Cardstock. For the calendar, I used Print Shop and printed a year out then used my trimmer to cut them to size. To hold them together, I applied glue using a hot glue gun. I backed the calendar pages onto some paper and cut out 2 butterflies from Basic Grey's Ambrosia line and pop dotted them to help them stand out. I also added some diamond stickles.

This was a really fun project inspired by StaceyScraps at paperpopsicles.com. I hope you enjoy.
