LAST OF THE SUMMER CARDS!

I'm sure that somewhere people are still enjoying hot sunny weather but here in the north west of England it has long gone.
Dreaming of sunnier climbs I have used the summery Anya from the Rain, Snow, Shine set for today's card.
How nice would it be to sit on a white sandy beach or under a parasol eating ice-cream!

Stamps: The Greeting Farm - Rain, Snow, Shine.

Embellishments and Papers: Imaginisce - A Shore Thing

Thanks for looking, Katie.

Summer Has Arrived!

How nice is today!, Hopefully everyone will be enjoying the Sunshine at the moment, it's so rare in Manchester that we definitely have to take advantage when it arrives, and that means BBQ time!

We have been overwhelmed with the response to our blog candy and DT call over at the Nutshells blog. The hardest part will be choosing a winner! This is the first card I have had chance to make in a couple of weeks, and thought I would have a go with the sketch and image provided for the DT call.
I have cheated a little though as my printer is broken, so I have drawn the image of Tash instead (designers privilege-lol!). I thought Nikki's sketch was wonderful to use and I have chosen Imaginisce 'Cool Pool Chatter' and 'Getting Hotter Need Water' glitter papers for a summery feel, the sunshine is getting to me! I have coloured Tash with Pro markers (a gift from Colette), and used Prima flowers, embellished with Stickles. Thanks for looking, Katie.

KISS TOADS!

One of the new ranges from Imaginisce we have over at Nutcrafters, include The Fairest Of Them All. These are Fairytale and Princess inspired craft items and from that range is this super cute Snag'em Frog stamp. I'm sure he would turn into any ones dream Prince ... hmmmm!
I love his cheeky little face, and thought he would go well with the Kiss Toads sentiment from High Hopes. I have chosen to create a vintage style card with a distressed feel, using brown ink to age the edges of the image and sentiment, and glazing the frog with Crackle Accents (I love this stuff, first time I have used it and think it is ace!)
I used my large Nestie heart to cut the card base, and added two smaller hearts for decoration, along with a Chocolate Bling blossom (also from Imaginisce).

CAKE FACE!

My friend Christine is a self confessed 'CAKE FACE', and so I thought it only right to make a cake inspired card for her birthday on Tuesday. I have chosen Hazel with Cupcake for my image, and used our new range of Imaginisce items to decorate.
The main DP is Pink Frosting with Sprinkles, and is double sided and glittery! The Celebrate brad and Make a Wish sentiment are also from the All kinds of Happy range - the sentiment from the Delicious Wishes rub-on sheet and the brads are Sweet Treats. I Stamped Hazel 3 times and water coloured her. I then Decoupaged my images, layering with foam squares, and added Stickles to her hairband and eyelids, and also a little on the cupcake swirl! I think she looks so happy and defiantly reminds me of the Birthday Girl!

BABY JOY

Happy Friday. This week my friend at work went into early labour, and on Monday evening Baby Jack arrived . Being as unorganised as I am, I had to dash about making a card (he was two weeks early after all-lol!).
For my card I used the Imaginisce Shake, Rattle and Roll rub-on's. This is a great sheet with lots of cute images and sentiments. I choose the baby in the pram, sweet boy wording and rattle. The main image was layered onto a white Nestie Tab, and textured blue and green card stock. The Blossom Button brads are also from the Imaginisce Baby Powder range, and I have added a blue and white spotty ribbon from my stash.

Both Mother and Baby are doing well, and I just couldn't resist buying him a cute little outfit - a checked shirt and combats!

Thanks for looking, Katie.

SUNNY DAY

It is another sunny day here in Manchester (hooray!), and I have two cards to show today. On my last post I mentioned how busy I was with work, and a big part of that was due to some wonderful new stock we have had delivered. We had lots of great stamps from The Greeting Farm arrive, with the Fairies and Miss Anya's flying off the shelves! The first card feature the literally 'Wonderful' stamp set from TGF. This card was made by Col, and i just love the wacky colours. The images are coloured with water colour pencils and layered onto Imaginisce DP. The flowers are Prima and finished with Stickles.

The second card also features some new products we have from IMAGINISCE. They produce the lovliest flowers and papers, the had part is choosing what to use! For my card I have used Mac from our own Nutshells stamp range, and layered her on to DP, added a ribbon, bow and Sizzix flourish.
The large flower and Happy Birthday sentiment are from the Imaginisce range, as is the skull stamp used. This is a real cute little Snag'em stamp, and I have used it on Shrink Plastic, to create button sized embellishments. Mac has been embellished with Glossy Accents and Stickles.
Thanks for looking, Katie.
