Spring at Shabby Tea Room

Hi! everyone been working on some Spring  and Easter projects. Ready for some warm weather. Personally I'am done with Winter. It's Spring Break here and we are reaching the 70 degree mark. Here is a card I made and I will be linking it to the challenge at Shabby Tea Room.

I used a white card base and then embossed another layer with polks dots. I rounded the corners and used ink to the edges in Peacock Feathers. I stamped this image and colored it with Distress Markers. For the blue polka dot frame I cut the oval from Elegant edges Cricut cartridge.  I made the banner with a Spellbinders die cut in white vellum. The spring sentiment are stickers. I used pop dots to give some dimension to the banner and the frame.  I finished off my card with a blue/white polka dot ribbon. The bird is a metal embellishment from Tim Holtz.

Come and join the challenge this week at Shabby Tea Room using a Spring theme, flowers, a bird and baby blue.
Thanks for looking.

Bye, Bye for Now

CHALLENGE #158 PAPER ROSES

Hi! Everyone. Sorry it's been so long since I have posted but I have been extremely busy at work this week. So glad the weekend is here so I can craft.  Behind on a lot of projects. Such as this one, the challenge for this week at FCCB.

I used my new Elegant Edges cartridge and George and Basic Shapes.  The paper collection I used is DCWV, Chateau Lavender. I cut the oblong frame at 4" and the shadow frame at 5".  The collage image is from Geko Galz "Nature's Child". I love the images that they have.  The sentiment banner is stamped in Wisteria chalk by Colorbox. I also used this for inking the edges of the frame. The stamp I used is MCT "Bloom Where You Are Planted" set.
For the flower I cut 1 lavender and 1 cream card stock flowers at 2" from George and Basic Shapes. Then I alternated the colors and cut 1 each at 1 1/2"and 1".  I inked the edges and wet the cardstock so I could shape the petals.  I inserted a brad in the middle to keep the petals together and let it dry.  It's attached to the card with a glue dot.
The ribbon and lace are scraps from my stash. The stitching is purple glitter pen. I think this card is very Spring with the garden scene and flowers.

Join our Challenge this week and use your Cricut to cut out the flowers.  Can't wait to see what everyone created for this challenge at FCCB.

Bye, Bye, for Now
