Win a free copy of SCT's summer issue! **closed**

It is definitely the dog days of summer here in Montana! Looking at my two lazy, furry kids, I can see where that old saying came from. :) If the heat is zapping your creativity, I've got just the thing to perk it back up ... a FREE copy of SCT's summer issue! In addition to the print copy being given away here, you can also view the issue for free online.

Post here your favorite thing about summer and we'll draw a random winner next Wednesday. I'll start: my fav thing about summer is fly fishing, and it doesn't get much better than the Bow River in Calgary. Lookie at that perdy Rainbow!!

Have a fun weekend peeps!

shape it up card challenge with Marla Kress + Bo Bunny prize

Happy Friday, everyone! Marla here with a really fun shape card challenge. Bo Bunny is sponsoring this challenge and the lucky winner will receive their choice of their newest collection, Key Lime. Have you seen their recent release? SWOON!!!

Here's the card that I created for this challenge. I've become quite the hoarder of Spellbinders nested dies, so it was a pretty simple card to put together. It's still very easy to use a PageMaps card sketch to make a shaped card, because all that really changes is the outside edge (I know, sounds good, right? LOL)!

Iwpna Palamountain had the same idea and created this beauty:

Several of the talented design team members at Bo Bunny also joined us on this challenge and created these fantastic cards!

Jolanda Meurs:

Juliana Michaels:

Sam Wright:

So here's how you can have a chance to win some wonderful Bo Bunny: create a card, based on the sketch here, and convert the card to any shape you'd like. This contest starts today and ends at midnight MST on Friday, June 14, 2013. The contest is open to everyone, everywhere!

Becky, happy 7th Anniversary!!

sketch conversion with Christa Paustenbaugh + Webster's Pages prize

Hello everyone, Christa here with a really fun sketch conversion challenge. When I go through the monthly PageMaps sketches, I often love the 8.5x11 size sketch, but sometimes the format is not big enough for all of my photos. But don't overlook this size sketch, thinking it can't work for you. Converting one to a 12x12 is super easy and I'm here to challenge you to try it! Webster's Pages has joined us for this challenge and will send the lucky winner a collection pack of their new line, Plum Seed.

Here's the 8.5x11 sketch that I loved so much. Not only is it a great design, but it's also perfect for using up scraps of my favorite bits and pieces that I simply cannot part with! By converting my design to a 12x12 page, I was able to use a larger, single photo of my daughter and it gave me more room for my lengthy journaling and an oversized title.
Here's how my page turned out after converting it to 12x12:

Several members of the Webster's Pages design team also joined in on this challenge and here are their fantastic pages!

Iris Babao Uy:

Diana Brodeur:

Piradee Talvanna:

Kay Rogers:

Aren't their pages just gorgeous!? They feature the new Plum Seed and Citrus Squeeze collections, and the Plum Seed is up for grabs for this challenge. So here's how you can have a chance to win: create a layout, based on the sketch above, and convert your page to 12x12. This contest starts today and ends at midnight MST on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. The contest is open to everyone, everywhere!

Have fun and Happy 7th Anniversary, PageMaps!

Christa

boy-girl challenge with Stephanie Perdue + Fancy Pants prize!

Hi everyone, this is Stephanie and I've got a fun challenge for you today! We've teamed up with Fancy Pants (one of my most favorite companies!) and they are sponsoring this challenge with a collection pack of one of their new lines going to the lucky winner!

I am a busy mom to two boys and don't get a lot of time to scrap. I'm sure there are a lot of you out there in the same boat and I hope you find PageMaps sketches as much of a timesaver as I do!

When I'm going through PageMaps sketches, looking for one that will work with my photos, I often pause for a moment when I hit a more "girly" one, wondering what I can do to change it to fit my boyhood themes. The sketch is perfect, the photos are spot on, the design is great ... but what would I put in place of that flower in the corner? :) I want to let you in on a little secret: I print the sketch and, using a white sharpie, I color out the more girlie parts of the sketch, then go forward designing the page with more boy-like embellishments!

Sarah Webb created another all-boy page based on the same sketch, and you would never know all that frou frou was on the original design! I love how she broke up the single photo into three smaller ones.

So here's your challenge: Create a layout, based on the sketch above, in a boy or girl theme. We'll be looking for something creative in place of the flowery embellishment on the sketch. This contest starts today and ends at midnight MST on Sunday, June 9, 2013. The contest is open to everyone, everywhere!

Have fun!

Stephanie

Spellbinders Explore Beyond Blog Frenzy, Day 6

It's Designer's Day at Spellbinders and the PageMaps design team has been very busy creating some amazing samples using the newest sets of PageMaps dies! In addition to all this eye candy, we have a fantastic give-away, where you'll have a chance to win all of the new die sets. Woot!

Here are the six new sets that released at CHA this past January:

On The Border

Address Book

Charmed, I'm Sure

Say What?

That's The Ticket

You Are Here

Kelly Goree is here to kick off this soiree, and her adorable, very pink (and very boy!) layout features the Charmed, I'm Sure collection of dies. She die cut several of the charms and hung them across her title block in a bunting fashion. How cute!

Lynn Ghahary had some fun with the That's The Ticket set, layering and hanging them on this super cool, all-boy page.

Stephanie Perdue combined That's the Ticket with the Address Book dies, and threw in a few Office Supplies dies from last year for good measure!

Marla Kress took a bold, simple approach with the Address Book dies and created a double-cut tab that holds her date. The notebook die, from the Office Supplies set, holds her jouraling.

And last, but not least, Summer Fullerton pulled out all the stops with the You Are Here, Address Book and That's the Ticket sets!

What's your favorite set? I'm still finding new ways to play with the Charmed, I'm Sure set, and when you combine them with the new coordinating Penny Black stamps, it's a match made in heaven! The Address Book dies also have a Penny Black coordinating stamp, perfect for tab titles, upcycled rolodexes and so much more.

For your chance to win a set of these new PageMaps dies, read the official rules and then enter here.

Thanks for stopping by!
