Cards For Nephews

Hi guys!  I'm back with some birthday cards I've made for a couple of my nephews.  They had birthdays less than a week apart, so I knew I had to get busy...and made both in one evening (small miracle).

The first card is using stamps from My Favorite Things, and papers from SU.  The little "cheer" die cut is from a Paper Smooches die set called Christmas Words.

My second card was inspired by some cards I saw posted on Pinterest.  I didn't use any specific card I found, but instead grabbed an actual Lego brick from my son's collection.  I used my Brayton Font stamps from Just Rite for the "LEGO" lettering.  Not a perfect match, but the size was right.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great week!

Grad Cards & Rolo Pencil

I'm back with those graduation cards I told you about.  These are simple cards which I've made with my  MFT Pure Innocence stamps, and using my Spellbinders dies. I've colored the images with Copic markers, and the sentiment is from SU.

I also made several of these candy pencils for the kids' teachers this year.  It's just a little card stock and foil wrapped around a package of Rolo candy, and a Hershey's Hug.  You can find the instructions all over the Web, and I used a tutorial I found on YouTube from Scrappinwithmybug.

Hello everyone! Today I'm posting a couple of cards that I've made for Lance to give to a couple of his senpais. Lance earned all Red Stripes during his purple belt/black stripe period, so he was offered a private lesson for all of his hard work. He's so excited to be in his brown belt/white stripe, and realizes he will have to work even harder. I think he's ready. ☺

The images are Pure Innocence at MFT.

Hi-Ya!

I'm back with a cutie card for my son. I made him another karate card a while back (you can see here), and he has promoted quite a few belts since. These images come from a recent addition to the MFT Pure Innocence Collection, and is aptly named...Karate Boy (I also couldn't resist the adorable Karate Girl). Lance is wearing a blue uniform now, so that is the color scheme here. I've pieced the blue uniform with Brilliant Blue card stock, and used my Fleur de Lis Square Nestabilities for the frame. The ribbon is silk, and from Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. I think he will like this! ☺

Stamps: Karate Boy (Pure Innocence/My Favorite Things)
Card Stock: Black, White, Brilliant Blue, Patterns Pack II (SU)
Ink: Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers
Accessories: Fleur De Lis Square & Square Nestabilites (Spellbinders), Black Bling (Recollections), Tombo Mono Multi Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals

Pumpkin Pickin'

We had a wonderful weekend which included a trip to the pumpkin patch. First, I'll show you the card I made with the Li'l Pumpkin Pure Innocence set from My Favorite Things. I'm using lots of patterned papers once again.

Stamps: Li'l Pumpkin (My Favorite Things)
Card Stock: Black, Cream, Superstition (Dream Street Papers LLC)

Accessories: Labels 17 Nestabilites (Spellbinders), Cloud Corner Chomper, Martha Stewart Punch, Open Scallop Border Dienamics (My Favorite Things), Felt (MFT), Bling (Recollections), Scotch Foam Tape, Tombo Multi Glue

It was a beautiful day for a trip to the pumpkin patch! The kids enjoyed picking their perfect pumpkins right off the vines, as there were still lots to choose from. We also enjoyed all of the animals on the farm. There were cows, horses, goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits, turkeys, peacocks, and various other birds. A fun day for sure!!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you're enjoying the season as well!

It's another My Favorite Things day, and this time I'm playing with my Little Loveosaurus. I've colored him with Copic Markers, and used my funky Offbeat BasicGrey papers for the background. The Jumbo Ric Rac Die-namics is from MFT, and the ribbon is SU. I used my Labels Trio die from Spellbinders, and just cut it down smaller to fit. A little jump ring was used to attach to my ribbon.

My Heart Sings

Hi everyone! Long time, no post. I've been stamping some, but just haven't blogged. I know I have a lot of "catching up" to do, but I have been browsing Google Reader. ; ) Mostly I've been hanging out with my family and watching Molly & McGee's babies hatch.

Today I have a card that I've made using My Heart Sings from the Jolinne line over at My Favorite Things. Isn't she too sweet? I made the brick wall with my Bricked embossing folder (Sizzix/Tim Holtz line). The pretty lace and die to create the felt flower (and the felt) are from MFT.

Stamps: My Heart Sings-Jolinne (My Favorite Things)
Card Stock: Fossil Note Cards (MFT), White, Riding Hood Red, Early Espresso, Patterned Paper (?)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Antique Linen Distress, Copic Markers, Inkssentials Opaque Pen

Rock On

Stamps: Tweeny Teen Rock (Pure Innocence from My Favorite Things)
Card Stock: Black, White, Berry Sorbet, Marrakech (BasicGrey)
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Soft Sky, Berry Sorbet, Copic Markers
Accessories: #4 Labels Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Scalloped Scallop Die-namics (My Favorite Things), Birds & Blooms Sizzlits (SU), Berry Sorbet Saddle Stitch Ribbon, Martha Stewart Pearl Stickers, Zip Dry Glue, Scotch Foam Tape, Glue Dots

Isn't she cute? She is from the Tweeny Teen Rock set from My Favorite Things. I made this card for my niece's birthday, and I thought it was perfect for her age group. I was going to stamp the "Rock On" sentiment, but unfortunately it ripped when I was removing it from the acrylic sheet (oops!) I will have to see about ordering a replacement sentiment.

I stamped the image twice, and popped up the second teen image after I trimmed her out. I also popped up the MP3 player. The patterned paper is Marrakech from BasicGrey. I used Labels #4 (Spellbinders) for the image, and the Scalloped Scallop Die-namics Die (MFT) for the border. I also made one of Beate's cool Dimensional Flowers, and used a pearl in the center rather than layers of more flowers. Love the look!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you're enjoying your weekend!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday to all! My kids have the day off school, so I'm sure it will be busy around here. I'm trying to come up with something fun to do to keep them out of trouble.
Smiley from millan.netToday I have a card that I made with my Sheltering Tree set and digi papers (My Favorite Things). I also used my new Die-namics and made one of Joanne's Flowers. I left the sentiment off on purpose, so that I can customize it when I need to. I just love owls, and I adore these in particular. :D

Birthday Girl

Hello everyone! We have been having a busy weekend, but things are settling down a little tonight. We're working on homework, and I thought I would post this card while I have a chance between breaks.

I needed a Birthday Card for a sweet little one-year-old, and I decided to use my Pure Innocence "My Balloon" set. I decided to draw in the rest of the balloon, so that I could pop it up with foam tape. The patterned paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Early Bird Mini Deck.

Card Stock: Cream, Aqua Mist (PTI), Early Bird (Cosmo Cricket)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Summer Sunrise (PTI), Copic Markers

CAS Pure Innocence

Hi everyone! It's been a while, but I'm still hanging out. My DH is laid off this week, so we have been busy with appointments and running errands. Today we have a little "breather", so I thought I would post these CAS Pure Innocence cards I made.

I find great pleasure in stamping and coloring the Pure Innocence line of images. I think I could just stamp and color them all without even making them into cards (the coloring kid in me is revealed), but that would be a shame...wouldn't it? So....I've used the last two images I've colored, for the following CAS cards.

The first card uses Tweey Teen Frosty Friends, which I think I'll stash with my Christmas cards for next year. I've embossed a snowy background and added some sheer ribbon that I found in my stash.

Stamps: Tweeny Teen Frosty Friends (Pure Innocence for My Favorite Things)
Card Stock: White (PTI)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers
Accessories: Label 1 Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Modern Label punch (SU), Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Sheer ribbon, Scotch Foam Tape

This card uses the Fairy Girl image, and I've made her a bit more angelic by placing her in the cloud and voiding out the grass and 'shroom found on the main image. My cloud is created with my Labels 8 die cut, and sparklized around the edges with Glitzy Glitter. I placed a little Taylor's Twinkle rhinestone in the center of the wand, and pierced a little trail to show motion. The corners are punched with my Scallop Corner Chomper, and I inked the edges with Fresh Snow ink.
Stamps: Fairy Girl (Pure Innocence for My Favorite Things)
Card Stock: Spring Rain, White (PTI)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Fresh Snow, Copic markers
Accessories: Labels 8 Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Cloud/Scallop Corner Chomper, Glitzy Glitter (The Cat's Pajamas), Taylor's Twinkles & Glossy Accents, Paper Piercer, Scotch Foam Tape, Glue Dots

Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope you're having a great week!

Blooming Good!

We're in the middle of a snow storm, with most snow expected overnight. I'm thinking about flowers right now instead, because I had to get my new Pure Innocence sweetie inky. Isn't she too cute? I paper pieced her dress, but everything is pretty straight-forward. The yummy ribbon is from Sharon Johnson's ribbon store, and the patterned paper is Early Bird from Cosmo Cricket.

Stamps: Blooming Good Day (My Favorite Things)
Card Stock: Fossil Note Cards (MFT), Black, Cream, Early Bird (Cosmo Cricket)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers
Accessories: Rectangle & Scalloped Rectangle Nestabilities, Ribbon, Designer Label punch (SU), Corner Chomper (We R Memory Keepers), paper piercer & mat, Scotch foam tape

A Scarf for Three

Happy Friday, everyone! I know these cute MFT snowmen are now only in digital format, but I used my stamp. ; ) While it's still wintry, I will be 'in the mood' to create projects with snowmen, 'cause I them! The patterned paper is Rustic Snowflakes from PaperTrey Ink. My snowmen are colored with Copic markers, and I added a little sparkle with my Spica Glitter pen. Dazzling Diamonds are used on the earmuffs and hats. I have also stamped the frame twice, and trimmed out the second to mount with foam tape. I used my Bow Easy for the ribbon and my Scallop Corner Chomper was used to punch the corners.

Stamps: A Scarf for Three (My Favorite Things)
Card Stock: White, Rustic Snowflakes
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers, Clear Spica Glitter pen,
Accessories: Quickie Glue Pen & Dazzling Diamonds, ribbon (PTI) & Bow Easy, Scotch foam tape
