Today i experienced the worst tasting Malaysian/Singaporean food in my life. So me and my family went out for lunch to Tastes of Singapore on Clayton Rd (just letting you know so that you never go there). We had been there a couple of times before and the food there was great. Little did we know that the owner had changed. Once getting there we were surprised at how little customers were sitting in the small shop. At that point we should have realised that something was wrong and we should have gone somewhere else to eat, but instead we decided to walk in to the shop in readiness for some great southeast asian food.

So some Singaporean Indian lady walked out to great us and we were thinking:
"whoa who the hell is this person."
then we thought:
"oh crap new owners."

At the counter, we took about 10 minutes to decided what to eat, but the lady didnt care because SHE HAD NO OTHER CUSTOMERS TO SERVE. So we ordered the fish head curry special, mee rebus, 2 nasi lemak and some nasi goreng. We also ordered the satay special and a cup of teh tarik ice.
The shitness of the food was incredible. I had never tasted Malaysian/Singaporean/Indian food like it. It was truely amazing how shit the food was.

1. Nasi Lemak
Bad Points
- coconut rice failure
- sambal paste was not sambal paste, instead some weird assed mixture of chilli and some sauce
Good Points
- peanuts, boiled egg and ikan bilis tasted like peanuts, boiled egg and ikan bilis...

2. Mee Rebus
Bad Points
- did not taste at all like mee rebus
- didnt look like mee rebus
- was it even mee rebus?
Good Points
- Boiled egg tasted like a boiled egg

3. Nasi Goreng
Bad Points
- not fried at all?
- not warm
- my grandma was wondering why my sister was eating it and decided to taste it herself, the disgusted look on her face was priceless. Could also be counted as a good point...
Good Points
- came with a piece of chicken that didnt taste like chicken.

4. Fish head curry
Bad Points
- infact was only fish curry
- barely any curry
- didnt taste anything like fish curry
Good Points
- it was actual fish.. not too sure though
- came with rice? woww..

5. Satay
Bad Points
- random pieces of meat stuck on a wooden skewer aka didnt look like satay
- didnt taste like satay
- didnt smell like satay
- peanut sauce failure
- worst satay i have ever tasted in my life
Good points
- none

6. Teh Tarik
Bad Points
- not enough flavour
Good points
- best thing that we had
- it kinda tasted like teh tarik!

So at the end of it we though:
"now we know why there was no one in the shop."
That was it. Overall i would give the place .5/5 stars just cos they actually gave us something to eat.
Need to find a new place with actual good Malaysian food, any suggestions?

But on a good note i saw something funny today on the way home from PEGS. We passed the Queen's School and someone took of the end of the 'n' and the sign said the Queer's School. hehehe
