A Tiling of a Tile or Tessellation of a Tangled Tile.

Try to say that 5 times fast!

I tangled my tile then tiled my tile to make tessellations of my tile! Phew!

I played with this tangled piece in Photoshop.

Tangles: Crescent Moon, Paradox, Tektonik, Shard, Sand Swirl

The result was some rather striking results of tiled patterns that had been digitally manipulated in Photoshop. All of the tessellations were made from the scanned image of the piece above.

Which is your favorite?

It's Crazy Paradox

Paradox is one of the most loved tangles. As long as your eyes can stay focused there is not getting tired of drawing it.

Margaret Bremner shared her explorations of a "crazy" Paradox on her blog HERE.

Of course I had to try it! A few times and then some!

I used a glass dip pen. If you look closely at some of the lines you'll see that they are not as smooth and refined as with a Micron Pen (Sakura). The ink might bleed or make little blobs unexpectedly. But that's okay. Sometimes I like that imperfection.
