Cheap Entertainment

Maybe I should have thought twice before I cut their hair.....who knew it could be so entertaining?

Sisters

It must be so special to grow up with your best friends.

There's always someone to talk to.

There's always someone to play with.

And there's always someone to make up silly games with that make absolutely no sense to anyone else.

(It took me a good 5 minutes to figure out what the girls were saying in this "game." You shout out "one leg fall, one leg fall-UH OH!" and then fall backwards into the water. And then repeat it over and over and over again!)

Wordful Wednesday and Sisterly Love

The girls are all sick. I'm catching it but am fighting it off with lots of Vitamin C. We are buried in snot over here and the sounds of three hacking coughs keep me up at night as I make the Motrin rounds at 2 am to keep the fevers down. My shin didn't appreciate the wall I ran into last night as I was half-asleep tending to my little sickies.

Since I don't have any exciting pictures so far this week, I thought I would spread some love. The girls like to play "mommy" and "baby" now. It has become a fun game for me to try and figure out who they want when they call out for "mommy." Every so often I get a breather as one of the girls jumps into her mommy role.

Photostory Friday

This picture makes my heart swell. It was a moment. A brief one, before they started fighting over toys or bikes, but it was still a moment.

The stars aligned

Somehow, I was able to capture ALL of my girls smiling and looking at me in a picture. And they look so grown up. Sniff-sniff. Don't you love how they figured out a way to ride the horse at the same time? Well, it was only for a couple of minutes and then Lissy started yelling at Makena to get off the front because she was too heavy! And then she started shoving her to drive her point home.

Let's hope they never find themselves on a sinking ship with room for only two in the lifeboat. The hair pulling and scratching that would take place in the fight for occupancy would probably puncture the boat and they'd all be screwed. "That's mines" would be echoing through the air.

Laughter

There are some nights when there is nothing but goofy laughter in our house. It's SO much better than the screaming and fighting that can go on between siblings. The girls were playing and laughing last night and I caught some of it on video. Riley is the scene stealer, of course!

Sugar and Spice

I was able to get a couple of videos of the girls in action.
Nothing makes me happier than to see them love on each other or make each other laugh...

And the other side of that coin is when they make each other mad.
