FNO in San Francisco

On September 10th, Emily and I joined in on the luxury buzz at Neiman Marcus and AAU's Fashion's Night Out celebration. We shmoozed with multiple department directors (our teachers), and met up with friends along the way. In addition, textile and knitting demos were sprinkled throughout each floor, and AAU alumni showed their recent design collections. The event had a great turnout, as I've never seen as many people in Neiman's as during Holiday time.

Emily and I had a specifically exciting conversation with the Fashion Journalism head, Cheryl Locke. We got juiced about the open auditions to help with 180 Magazine and blog for the school. We are ready to vamp it up! More to follow as those events grow near.

P.S. Live stream of AAU at Bryant Park from this morning's show! More criticism on the collections to come.

Anna Wintour's Fashion Night Out is arriving on the tenth of this month. The event is mostly in New York, but 40 Neiman Marcus Department stores are participating Stateside, Europe, Asia, and South America.

While you can't be styled by the Olsen twins or watch Jessica Stam do keg stands while ringing you up at Rag and Bone, you can grab some free food and meet SF's industry at Neiman Marcus from 7-9. Foosball, pool, photobooths, and more will keep you busy.

Be sure to check out AAU instructors Gladys Perint Palmer's illustration signings and visit Cheryl Locke on the fifth floor's Assouline shop-in-shop to talk about journalism and the like.

See you there!
