SAGA - Objective Markers

These are some objective markers that I painted up for possible use at the Montreal Saga Grand Melee event being held this upcoming Saturday (Nov 22nd). Three of them are the set FMT4 Hidden Lairs which I purchase from North Star Military Figures. The fourth was part of Bob Murch's the Masters of Devil Reef. They are part of the Cthulhu 28s Line and was included with the Kickstarter campaign. It may be available on its own but I do not know if that is the case or not. A sample archer from Claymore Castings is included for scale.

Pulp Figures - Assorted Miniatures

I am a fan of the figures produced by Bob Murch. Here is a sample of some recent figures of his that I have worked upon.  The first is Col Muzzy Bluderbooch. The figure is the 2021  Bob Murch's Movember Fund Raiser

 Col Muzzy Bluderbooch

From the Mystery and Horror line in the Pulp Figures Catalogue we have PMH 11 Triumph of Frankenstein! The Baron has unleashed his terrible creation! Or as I like to say,

the good doctor at work

And finally , available from Crucible Crush Miniatures we have the Masters of Devil Reef. They are part of the Cthulhu 28s Line. These figures were sculpted by Bob and were a Kickstarter that I backed.

Bonus Selection

These figures are not part of Bob Murch's work, but they are definitely pulp. They are part of the A Fistful Of Kung Fu Line by North Star Military Figures. North Star is also the source of  Pulp Figures available directly in the UK. The following figures are  AFOKF03 - Kung Fu Squad: The Demons

1066 Saxon Kickstarter

In May 2021 I backed Bob Murch's (Pulp Figures) 1066 Saxon Kickstarter in conjunction with Crucible Crush Miniatures. I selected the Saxon Raiders Pledge. They were purchased in order to build a SAGA army. I received my rewards last October. Thanks to the glorious autumn in Montreal  I was able to prep most of the selection before the weather turned.

These were also entered into the AHPC XIII. I have been under the weather the last 2 weeks and my productivity has hit a brick wall.

Two units are ready, in addition to the villagers I posted last week.

Unit Number 1 - Foot Command - 5 figures

Unit Number 2 - Dane Axes - 5 figures

Reaper Madness

What were you ladies and gentlemen smoking? I can see Kickstarter is a fantastic way for a company to raise capital for a line of products. But to turn a $30K request into almost $3.5M investment is madness, simply madness. Damn I wish it was my idea.

I hope that all that partook in the kool-aid are happy with the results. No doubt, those of you at the Vampire Pledge level will be very smug with your box of figures. From the looks of it you have everything you can run into on a Dungeon crawl except the kitchen sink.

25mm HOTT Dragon (15mm Figure for Scale)
All joking aside, I think the “Bones” approach that Reaper is using to make the RPG figures accessible to the younger crowd (or those cash conscious individuals) at a reasonable price is great.

I obtained two of the figures. A buddy of mine went at the $100 pledge level and qualified for the additional options. Through him I was able to snag the “There be Dragons” for $15.

15mm HOTT Dragon (15mm Figure for Scale)
I will be mounting these for HOTT, one for 15mm Scale and the other for 25mm Scale games. I admit that I am curious in how long a paint job will actually last on these polymer models. I was very pleased to see how easy it was to glue these figures to a base.
