With the holiday season fast approaching and me being as disorganised as I usually am, I made just 2 cards this weekend that were not Christmas ones.
The first one is for Paper Pal Arts challenge #70 for the sketch and for Color Throwdown's #120 to use So Saffron, Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive.
Recipe:
Stamps: Frames with Flourish, Best Yet (both retired), Great Friend all from SU
Papers: Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron, Whisper White, Cottage Wall DSP (retired) all from SU
Inks: So Saffron, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive all from SU
Accessories: Purple pearls from eBay
I'm not keen on this next one, but I'm not sure what else to do to it, so will leave it for now and come back to it later. This is for Just Add Ink #45 for the sketch, the ILWS colour challenge for November to use black, red, orange and yellow and for Free For All #38 to use silhouettes. I did have to adapt the sketch slightly to cover up my boo-boo! I smudged the black ink when I picked it up before it had dried properly!
Recipe:
Stamps: Upsy Daisy from SU
Papers: Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Whisper White, Sunny Garden DSP all from SU
Inks: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade all from SU
Accessories: Peach Parfait ribbon from SU
I did make a few more Christmas cards on this post if you wanna come see. Thanks for stopping by!

Hallowe'en, Christmas and a random!
I promise these are the very very last Hallowe'en cards I've done and they have now all been posted and will have all hopefully arrived in time for Hallowe'en tomorrow!
This first one is for the Hope You Can Cling To Challenge #22 to Use 3 design papers, 2 embellishments and 1 ribbon on your card. I also used old Mojo #54 for the layout.
Recipe:
Stamps: House of Haunts
Papers: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Whisper White, Cast-A-Spell DSp (retired)
Inks: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Perfect Plum
Accessories: Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon, Buttons from Papermania, Bat Brad from Making Memories, Scallop Edge Punch
My very last Hallowe'en card is for the Hope You Can Cling To challenge #25 to use buttons - although I only used one button, it was quite a large one! I also used Mojo #51 for the layout as well.
Recipe:
Stamps: Friendship Jar Fall Fillers
Papers: Basic Black from SU, Orange Zest, Stamper Select White, Halloween Prints all from PTI
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch from SU, Orange Zest ribbon, True Black buttons both from PTI
My next card is a Christmas one using one of my new sets and matching punches! This one is for Color Throwdown's challenge #116 to use Riding Hood Red, Vanilla and Certainly Celery, for Free For All #34 to make a Christmas card without using white (I guess I'm stretching it a bit there!), Mojo #76, Papertake Weekly's Bright and Sparkly challenge and finally the Hope You Can Cling To Challenge #27 to use shimmer paints. I don't think you can see particularly well in the photo but I did spray all 3 baubles with my Vanilla Smooch Spritz and they do shimmer quite nicely (they also make the ink run as you can see on the Riding Hood Red one!).
Recipe:
Stamps: Delightful Decorations from SU
Papers: Certainly Celery, Riding Hood Red, Very Vanilla
Inks: Certainly Celery, Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Riding Hood Red ribbon, Silver Cord, Ornament Punch, Silver gems from Papermania, Snowflakes Embossing Folder
And my final card for today is for the In Love With Stamping Colour challenge for October to use red, white and black and for Paper Pal Arts #66 for the sketch. I just had to try out another of my new sets and used the rock 'n' roll technique which is one I very rarely use, but I do think it looks stunning on this one!
Recipe:
Stamps: Artistic Etchings, Because I Care
Papers: Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, Love Letter DSP
Inks: Riding Hodd Red, Basic Black
Accessories: Whisper White satin ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch, Circle Nestabilities, Black Diamond Stickles
And that's all for me today folks. Thanks for stopping by!

More pink cards
With the charity card drive over on Splitcoast Stampers to help raise money for the MD Anderson Cancer Center so many of my cards have pink in them as stated mostly in the challenge write ups. But pink is one of my fave colours so I'm not complaining!
My first card today is for the October In Love With Stamping limited supplies challenge, in which we were not allowed to stamp on cardstock, so I used vellum instead and came up with this card in the technique style that Nichole Heady has shown before on her blog here. This is also for Papertrey Peeps Challenge #18 to use pink and for the Hope You Can Cling To challenge #23 to use stitching in some form on your card. I used my Sew Easy with the scallop head and then cut round it afterwards. Just adds such a nice edge to it don't you think?!
Recipe:
Stamps: In Bloom from PTI
Papers: Sweet Blush, Raspberry Fizz both from PTI, Vellum cardstock from SU
Inks: Versamark, Raspberry Fizz from PTI, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: White Embossing Powder, Raspberry Fizz buttons from PTI, Sew Easy from We Are Memory Makers, Black Embroidery Thread from stash
My next card is for Stampin' Royalty's challenge #43 for the sketch, CC294 to use Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake and for the Hope You Can Cling To Challenge #26 to use birds on a card.
Recipe:
Stamps: Bird On A Branch
Papers: Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze cs and DSP (retired), Ski Slope DSP (retired)
Inks: Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride
Accessories: Linen Impressions Plate from PTI, Oval Nestabilities, Beaded Oval Nestabilities, Bird Punch from SU, Boho Blossoms Punch from SU, Kraft Taffeta Ribbon (retired), Mini Brads from Papermania
My next card is completely not my normal style, but sometimes it's fun to do so! This one is for the Hope You Can Cling To Challenge #19 to make a card for a little girl using either the given pictures as inspiration or memories of your own childhood toys. Like most little girls I think, I had a teapot set and remember regularly having tea with my teddies, Big Ted and Little Ted (named after the teds on Playschool for those of you that remember that TV show over here in the UK). I used the layout from Mojo #162 as well.
Recipe:
Stamps: Tea For Two from PTI (I don't actually have this set but stamped some images when I went to my friend Amy's back in August and hadn't used them at all so they can in very handy for this challenge!)
Papers: Rich Razzleberry cs and DSP (retired), Basic Black, Pretty in Pink, Welcome Neighbor DSP, Stampers Select White from PTI
Inks: Pretty in Pink ink and marker, Pear Pizzazz marker, Memento Tuxedo Black, Basic Black
Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Pretty in Pink satin ribbon both from SU, Black brads from stash, Martha Stewart lace tag (inked in Basic Black! I said I would use them and I finally did!)
My next two cards are both for Tilda challenges - I'm getting quite back into my Tildas again now and love all the new designs they keep coming up with (shame my bank balance doesn't agree
) This first one is for Totally Tilda's challenge #8 to use pink and pearls. Instead of the usual pearls I went with LOTS of Liquid Pearls in the style of Sankari Wegman and love this look. I used my piercing mat to add pencil dots to the papers so my pearls would be evenly spaced and I really love how it turned out! This is also for SC304, CC72 to use Cool Caribbean (which I subbed with Soft Sky), Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery and for Hope You Can Cling To Challenge #24 to use an image of a girl and use pink!
Recipe:
Stamps: Tilda With Peony from Magnolia
Papers: Soft Sky, Certainly Celery, Copic White, Pretty in Pink DSP from retired hostess pack
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Oval Nestabilities, Perfect Paisley Embossing Folder, Pastel Raspberry and White Opal Liquid Pearls
And my final card is for Just Magnolia's #79 for the sketch, the Hope You Can Cling To Challenge #12 to make a birthday card using paper piecing, for Free For All #36 which was also to use paper piecing and for Just Us Girls #57 to make a fabric flower. I don't actually own any fabric (and I certainly wasn't going to cut up some old clothes just for this challenge, so I used felt instead!)
Recipe:
Stamps: Tilda with Christmas Presents (cunningly disguised as a party goer delivering lots of pressies!), Just The Ticket (another one stamped from Amy but on its way to me as we speak!)
Papers: Pink Pirouette, Basic Black, Copic White, Vintage Cream from PTI, Melon Mambo DSP (retired)
Inks: Melon Mambo, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Felt from Hobbycraft, Brads from stash, Black ribbon from stash, Ticket Die from PTI, Flower, Vine and Flourish die set from Sizzix

October 2010 Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!
It's time again for Papertrey Ink's monthly blog hop and this month the theme is winter holidays other than Christmas. This is Nichole's write up for the challenge:
There is always a lot of focus on Christmas in our industry this time of year, as that is what the majority of the population celebrates. However, this month's blog hop is dedicated to those that celebrate winter holidays other than Christmas. Create a project that celebrates Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or some other winter holiday as we embrace everyone's beliefs in a celebration of diversity through paper crafting.
I don't own any of the stamp sets for Hanukkah and don't really know enough about Kwanzaa to make a card for it, so instead I decided to make a winter scene card that could be used as a generic holiday card and I love this sentiment too. I do believe I have only used this set once before and I have no idea why I haven't used it more often because it's such a fab, versatile set. I will definitely be bringing this one out more often for this year's Christmas cards now.
This one also uses the layout from the In Love With Stamping October sketch challenge.
Recipe:
Stamps: Background Basics: Christmas, Made of Snow both from PTI
Papers: Enchanted Evening, Spring Rain, Stampers Select White
Inks: Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Night of Navy all from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Spring Rain stitched grosgrain ribbon from PTI, Diamond Stickles

Flowers, Hallowe'en and a Party!
Daft title I know, but I think it has a bit of a ring to it! LOL
My first card for today is for Mojo #155 and Color Throwdown #109 to use Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz and Daffodil Delight. I just had to use some of my new Verve stamps that arrived this week from the anniversary release and I love them all!
Recipe:
Stamps: Great Friend from Verve
Papers: Melon Mambo cs & DSP, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Greenhouse Gala DSP
Inks: Melon Mambo, Versamark, Basic Black
Accessories: tempting Turquoise grosgrain ribbon, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Yellow glitter brad from stash
My next card uses another of my new Verve sets - this time it was Dream Big. This one is for Taylored Expressions sketch #127 and Just Add Ink's #34 to use So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Crumb Cake (formerly known as Kraft!) I added a bit of shimmer paint to my flower but not sure if you can see in the photo - it looks lovely IRL.
Recipe:
Stamps: Dream Big from Verve
Papers: Crumb Cake, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Whisper White, Bella Bleu DSP, Tea Party DSP
Inks: Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Crumb Cake, Frost White Shimmer Paint
Accessories: Dragonfly brad and designer brad both from Papermania, Kraft Taffeta ribbon
My next 2 cards use the same Hallowe'en set and papers from PTI and I absolutely love them! I love Hallowe'en and everyone gets a card from me as I just love making Hallowe'en cards! This first one is for A Passion For Papertrey's Punch It Challenge and for Our Creative Corner's Sketch #32. This card is completely inspired by one Nichole Heady did here. The ribbon on this one needed something a bit extra so I stamped lots of the same spiders all along it and doesn't it look fabby?!
Recipe:
Stamps: Friendship Jar, Friendship Jar Fall Fillers from PTI
Papers: Orange Zest, Stampers Select White, Halloween Prints all from PTI, Black glitter card
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Martha Stewart Spiderweb Punch Round The Page set, Orange Zest ribbon, Black Diamond Stickles
My next Hallowe'en card is for Papertake Weekly's Sketch #47 and for Papertrey Peeps #15 to be inspired by Fall. Autumn time to me is always returning to school after the holidays and then the build up for Hallowe'en starts with me making all my cards and pressies. Not sure if you can tell in the photo but I covered the jar with Crystal Effects to give it that clear glass sheen!
Recipe:
Stamps: Friendship Jar, Friendship Jar Fall Fillers
Papers: Black Glitter card, Orange Zest, Stampers Select White, Halloween Prints DSP
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Martha Stewart Spiderweb Punch Round The Page set, Crystal Effects, Orange Zest ribbon
And my final card is a little party invitation for the In Love With Stamping challenge for this month (done all these now!) and for the Stampin' Royalty's challenge #36 which was to use the given photo as an inspiration.
Recipe:
Stamps: Birthday Whimsy, Happy Moments, Just Perfect Alphabet all from SU
Papers: Bashful Blue, Old Olive, So Saffron, Rose Red, Whisper White, Junior Varsity DSP
Inks: Basic Black, Bashful Blue ink & marker, SU Markers in Rose Red, Old Olive, So Saffron
Accessories: None for once!
And that's all for today folks! I'm sure I'll be back tomorrow with a few more cards! Got a ton of Hallowe'en ones still to make!

Some new stamps...
These are the cards I made this weekend with some of my new stamps. You can see the ones I did with my old stamps here as well.
This first one uses one of my new Tilda stamps - I bought about 7 or 8 new Magnolia stamps as well as 2 of the dies on Friday. This one is for In Love With Stamping's September sketch challenge, Just Magolia's #71 to use the cracking glass technique, which didn't come out quite as planned and for Totally Tilda's #4 to use Lilac and Lace.
Recipe:
Stamps: Tilda with Umbrella from Magnolia, Round & Round from PTI
Papers: Lavender Lace, Lovely Lilac cs & DSP, Very Vanilla
Inks: Creamy Caramel, Lavender Lace, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Victorian Fleur EF from Papermania, Tilda's Lace Border Die, Lace from Cuddly Buddly
My next card uses my new All About You set from PTI. This one's for SC296 and CC286 to use More Mustard, Melon Mambo and Baja Breeze.
Recipe:
Stamps: All About You, Out On A Limb both from PTI
Papers: More Mustard, Melon Mambo cs & DSP, Stampers Select White, Ski Slope DSP
Inks: More Mustard, Baja Breeze, Melon Mambo, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: More Mustard grosgrain ribbon, Card Candy from Craftworks Cards
My next card uses another new PTI set, the beautiful Embellishments set. This one is for Just Add Ink's #33 for the sketch, Color Throwdown's #108 to use Kraft, So Saffron and Chocolate Chip and for Stamping Royalty's #35 to use Rhinestones and Pearls. Not sure if you can tell in the photo but some of the flourishes are up on dimensionals using my new Embellishments dies from PTI as well.
Recipe:
Stamps: Embellishments from PTI
Papers: Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla
Inks: Chocolate Chip, So Saffron
Accessories: Kraft Tafetta ribbon, Clear Rhinestones from Papermania, Lemon Pearls from stash, Embellishments dies, Labels 4 Nestabilities
And my final card is my fave of today's and uses my new Tuesday stamp from The Greeting Farm as well as the new Halloween Prints DSP from PTI. Ths one is for Farm Fresh Friday's Rule of 3 challenge to use 3 different patterned papers and 3 different embellishments. I used 3 of the different sheets in the Halloween Prints pack and I hope Stickles counts as an embellishment otherwise I only have 2! I also used the sketch from Our Creative Corner's #31. And it wasn't done on purpose but the patterned paper in the middle acted as my greeting as well - perfect placement don't you think?!
Recipe:
Stamps: Tuesday from The Greeting Farm
Papers: Elegant Eggplant from SU, Copics, White, Orange Zest, Halloween Prints DSP from PTI
Inks: Pumpkin Pie from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Black Lace from Cuddly Buddly, Orange Zest button from PTI, Black Diamond Stickles, Spiderweb Embossing Folder, Circle Nestabilities
And that's all for today folks! Will be soon making a start on all my Hallowe'en cards and gifts so expect to see a lot more of them around!

Some old stamps...
Just a few cards I made this weekend using some of my old stamps...
This first one is for Just Us Girls #49 for the sketch and Papertake Weekly's Just The One challenge. You could interpret this one how you wanted, but I chose to use one colour of varying shades and of course I chose pink! I thought I would also enter this for the In Love With Stamping colour challenge for this month to use tone on tone colours.
Recipe:
Stamps: Signature Greetings, Background Basics: Botanicals, Beautiful Blooms II all from PTI
Papers: Melon Mambo cs & DSP, Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette
Inks: Melon Mambo, Pretty in PInk
Accessories: Pink Pirouette ribbon, Tilda's Lace Border Die, Tilda's Dragonfly Die, Pink gems from Hobbycraft (these suck btw - the adhesive stays on the acetate sheet rather than coming off with the gem!)
My next card is for Stacey's Curtain Call #46 to use Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Peach Parfait and Poppy Parade. I still don't have the new in colour inks - they will be arriving soon so I improvised yet again by cutting out the different layers on my flower in the colours I needed! I also used old Mojo #41 for the layout - still making my way slowly through all these old ones!
Recipe:
Stamps: Playful Petals, Sweet Birthday both from SU
Papers: Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi, Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade, Whisper White, Bella Rose DSP
Inks: Wild Wasabi, Basic Gray, Ruby Red marker, Apricot Appeal marker
Accessories: Wild Wasabi ribbon, White brads from stash, Word Window Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
My next card is for In Love With Stamping's August Inspiration Challenge. I took 2 colours from each of the four squares and used them to create this pretty butterfly card!
Recipe:
Stamps: Flight of the Butterfly from SU
Papers: Taken With Teal, Regal Rose, Summer Sun, Only Orange, Pink Passion, Rich Razzleberry cs & DSP, Certainly Celery, Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black, Whisper White!
Inks: Only Orange, Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise, Regal Rose
Accessories: Butterfly Punch, Word Window Punch, Tempting Turquoise grosgrain ribbon
My last card for this post is another In Love With Stamping Challenge - September's technique challenge to use masking. I used Mojo #154 for the layout, Free For All #28 to use birds with a colour you don't normally use, which is my Really Rust and for CC105 to use Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, Old Olive, So Saffron and Cool Caribbean, which I subbed with Soft Sky. And I attempted to do a bit of ribbon ruffling and love how this turned out!
Recipe:
Stamps: Thank You Kindly, My Sweet Pea both from SU
Papers: Chocoalte Chip, Really Rust, Whisper White, So Saffron DSP
Inks: So Saffron, Soft Sky, Old Olive ink and marker, Chocolate Chip marker, Really Rust marker
Accessories: Old Olive striped grosgrain ribbon, Circle Nestabilities, Square Nestabilities
Well that's all for this post today folks! I've also done some cards with some new stamps here if you want a look.

Well that's all for this post today folks! I've also done some cards with some new stamps here if you want a look.
Some yellow cards...
Yellow is one of those colours I'm not too fussed about really. I'm not a particular fan of neon-bright-in-your-face kind of yellow but the softer more buttery tones I do quite like as an accent rather than a main colour. Howver this week I've managed to do three cards all with a yellow as a more dominant colour and I really like how these have turned out.
This first one is for SC294 and the ILWS Colour challenge this month to use Basic Gray, So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Whisper White.
Recipe:
Stamps: Vintage Vogue, Vintage Wheel
Papers: Certainly Celery, Basic Gray, So Saffron, Whisper White
Inks: Basic Gray, So Saffron, Certainly Celery
Accessories: Fairytale Ribbons (retired), Square gem brads from stash
My new card is for another ILWS challenge - the sketch one from this month and for Papertrey Peeps #14 to use red, yellow, cream and white. I absolutely love this colour combo and yet it is so not me at all! Just shows how sometimes you have to try something to love it!
Recipe:
Stamps: All About You Additions, Polka Dot Basics II
Papers: Harvest Gold (PTI), Real Red (SU), Cream and white from old stash, Beautiful Blooms DSP
Inks: Real Red, Yoyo Yellow both from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Harvest Gold stitched grosgrain ribbon, Sunshine Impression Plate both from PTI
And my final yellow card is a request from my MIL who needed a birthday card for her cat-obsessed friend, so I came up with this one using the old colour combo from SCS #34 and the sketch layout for Our Creative Corner #29.
Recipe:
Stamps: Thomas with Birthday Cake from Lili of the Valley, Mega Mixed Messages and Fancy Flourishes both from PTI
Papers: Close To Cocoa, Ruby Red, Copic White, So Saffron DSP
Inks: Close To Cocoa, Ruby Red, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Labels 4 Nestabilities, Cinnamon Stickles, ribbon from stash
Be sure to come back and check out my other posts with all the stuff I did over the weekend.

In Love With Stamping Challenge Cards
On the first of every month the In Love With Stamping forum sets 4 different challenges - colour combo, sketch, technique and an inspiration one. These are my cards for this month's challenges, mixed in with a few others.
This is the colour challenge to use Almost Amethyst, Lovely Lilac, Chocolate Chip with optional Whisper White or Very Vanilla. This is also for Our Creative Corner's Sketch #22 and for Stamping Royalty's #26 - Seeing Doubles - to show 2 of the same thing. Those were my 2 big flowers.

Recipe:
Stamps: Simply Said
Papers: Almost Amethyst, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Lovely Lilac DSP (retired)
Inks: Almost Amethyst, Lovely Lilac, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Circle Nestabilities
This is the technique folding challenge which was to use paper folding. I made my flower from 5 scalloped circles and folded down 2 edges of each. I found this technique from when I was hostessing the VSN a little while back on this card. It's such a simple but pretty way of doing a large-ish flower. This card also uses Mojo #31 and Stacey's Curtain Call #37 to use Tempting Turquoise, Barely Banana, Chocolate Chip, Melon Mambo and Whisper White.
Recipe:
Stamps: Well Scripted
Papers: Chocolate Chip cs & DSP, Barely Banana, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Melon Mambo DSP
Inks: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Scalloped Circle Nestabilities, Chocolate Chip Satin ribbon, Boho Blossoms Punch, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Turquoise glittered brad from stash
This is my card for the sketch challenge. I also used Color Throwdown's Color Challenge #99 to use Cream, Chocolate and Turquoise.
Recipe:
Stamps: Framed With Love, Lots of Thoughts (retired SAB set)
Papers: Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise, Very Vanilla
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise
Accessories: Tempting Turquoise grosgrain ribbon
My last challenge card is the inspiration one. I took inspiration from the flourished wallpaper in the background and the vase of pink and purple flowers on the table. I used Just Add Ink's challenge #24 for the sketch as well.
Recipe:
Stamps: Turning A New Leaf, Signature Greetings both from PTI, Bella Toile from SU
Papers: Rose Red, Orchid Opulence, Very Vanilla
Inks: Rose Red, Orchid Opulence, Garden Green, Close To Cocoa
Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, Flower brads from stash (Papermania I think)
So that's all these challenges done for this month. I didn't even realise I'd done them all until I was sorting out what cards to put on which blog post. (I just don't get myself sorted to take photos in the light on a Saturday at the minute so have to do 2 posts on Sunday!)
PTI cards from this weekend
I do love Stampin' Up stuff (I should do being a demonstrator and all), but I also have a slight addiction to Papertrey Ink stuff as well. I especially love that their ribbon comes in 5 or 6 different varieties for each colour and that you can buy a huge bag of buttons in a range of styles and sizes in each colour as well. And of course I love their stamps - the style is so different from SU.
I recently found 3 blogs that do challenges just for Papertrey Ink stuff and have made a start on doing them, both the current ones and the old ones, just for fun!
These first two cards are for the Papertrey Pixies blog challenges. Card #1 is for May's challenge, to make your own background paper as well as Mojo #141, another for Free For All #10 and CC273 to use Close to Cocoa, Barely Banana and Garden Green. I don't particularly like this one - it's just a bit too busy for me, but I didn't get time to do another one.
Recipe:
Stamps: Everyday Button Bits, Guide Lines II
Papers: Close to Cocoa, Garden Green, Barely Banana, Whisper White
Inks: Close to Cocoa, Garden Green, Barely Banana
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Yellow and Green flower buttons from stash, Green satiny twill from stash
My second card for Papertrey Pixies is for June's Challenge which was to use the picture for inspiration. I loved the layout and chose just three of the colours as my main colours. The fabric swatches reminded me of little picture frames so I went straight for my Sign Language set for this one - perfect for little picture frames, don't you think?
Recipe:
Stamps: Sign Language
Papers: Kraft, Chocolate Chip (SU), Berry Sorbet (PTI), Non SU/PTI white cs
Inks: New Leaf, Berry Sorbet (PTI), Summer Sun (SU) I don't have any PTI yellows just yet.
Accessories: Berry Sorbet ribbon, New Leaf button, Word Window punch, Double Loops Round the Page punches from Martha Stewart
The next PTI challenge blog I found was Papertrey Peeps and this card is for their challenge #9 to make a card with a travel theme. I also used the In Love With Stamping June challenge Sketch, Free For All #15 to make a boy themed card and CC139 to use Soft Sky (I substituted with Aqua Mist), Wild Wasabi ( I subbed it with New Leaf) and Ruby Red (haven't got a PTI substitute for this one). My bike is stamped with Aqua Mist and looks a bit pale in the photo but does stand out more in real life! Wonder if it needs reinking?
Recipe:
Stamps: Everyday Button Bits
Papers: Ruby Red (SU) Aqua Mist, New Leaf, Dotty Biscotti DSP (PTI)
Inks: Ruby Red (SU), Aqua Mist (PTI)
Accessories: Aqua Mist grosgrain ribbon, New Leaf buttons (PTI)
And my final PTI card this weekend was for Papertrey Peeps challenge #8 to use red and green but no Christmas theme and for old Mojo #17.
Recipe:
Stamps: Round and Round
Papers: Spring Moss, Pretty Pastels DSP (PTI), Real Red (SU)
Inks: Spring Moss (PTI), Real Red (SU)
Accessories: Oval Nestabilities, Red gems from stash, Word Window Punch, 1" circle punch, Real Red satin ribbon (SU), Spring Moss Buttons (PTI)
And that's all my PTI cards for this weekend. If you want to see my Stampin' Up cards from this weekend you can see them here.
