She studied Theatre Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where she completed her master’s degree with distinction and earned her PhD with highest distinction. She was awarded a Sasakawa Foundation scholarship for her doctoral research and a merit-based scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) for her postgraduate studies.

She has taught History and Dramaturgy of World Theatre at undergraduate and postgraduate level at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the University of the Peloponnese, the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program in Theatre and Film Studies of the University of Crete and IMS/FORTH, as well as in the MA Program “Performing Arts” at the Hellenic Open University.

She has participated as a postdoctoral researcher and research associate in projects concerning theatre history, the periodical press, and the terminology of the performing arts. She has published articles and conference papers in Greece and internationally, edited scholarly volumes and conference proceedings.

Her research interests focus on the analysis of European dramatic texts and the study of their authors’ intellectual trajectories and theoretical thought; the evolution of dramatic form from realism to postdramatic theatre; the intertextual dialogues between European drama, history, and social reality; as well as issues of reception, translation, performance practice, and critical evaluation.
