It is the 15th of the month and that means it is time for our next challenge to get started! Our theme this month is Pick a Patterned Paper and here is what you need to know to join us...

In our everyday lives we come across patterns everywhere we look. When we first open our eyes in the morning until the moment we close them at the end of the day, there are a myriad of patterns to grab our attention. Subtle patterns and bold ones, small ones and large ones too. Everything from the clothing we wear, to the bedding and linens we use, to the choices in our wall coverings and furniture, all say something about our design style. As crafters we often use a selection of patterns in our design creations as well. For the next month, we have decided that it would be fun to focus not so much on the image that is generally used as a focal point in our projects, but to instead direct our attention to the patterned paper(s) that we use as a backdrop. Thus, for this challenge, if you want to be eligible for any of our prizes, please choose from one or more of the following patterns for your main background paper(s): dots, stripes, plaids, chevrons, or diamonds.

Here in many parts of North America and in other locations throughout the world, fall is officially upon us and what a wonderful season to behold. One of the great things about the fall is all the gorgeous rich colours around us. Harvest is in full bloom at this time of year and we've found a beautiful picture that reflects the bold bright colours and splendours of the season.

Thus, this month our theme is picture inspiration. We want you to take a look at the picture above and be inspired by one of its many aspects, when creating your project. Maybe you'll be inspired by the leaves or perhaps you'll be influenced by the flowers or other botanical elements. Perchance you'll be influenced by Cornucopia filled with fruits and veggies. Finally, maybe you'll simply be moved by the colours. This month it is all in the eye of the beholder. Just be sure to let us know somewhere in your post, what specific item(s) you were inspired by. You can simply write a sentence where you add the link up if it would be easier. We just need to know how you were influenced so we can include you in the draw for the prize and top three.

Hello and welcome to the midway point of our current challenge. Just before we start, I have to sadly announce that this will be Sherry's last challenge with us. Life has gotten very busy for Sherry and as such she is unfortunately having to leave us. Sherry is such a special lady and both her wonderful personality and caring nature, along with her incredible talent, will most definitely be missed. I hope you will all join me in wishing Sherry the absolute best as she goes on to new adventures in her life!

Now, it is time to get back to our midway. Here is a refresher of what the theme is all about:

Isn't it amazing how just a little bit of texture can enhance a design? Even something subtle can help make your project go from flat to eye popping in a matter of moments. Keep in mind that texture isn't only pleasing for the eyes, it also enhances our sense of touch as well. The more senses we engage, the more stimulated we become.

That is why for this challenge we want you to add some texture to your project in the form of embossing. You can choose wet or dry embossing--it is totally up to you. Now if you don't have any equipment to emboss, it is okay to use pre-embossed papers. As long as there is embossing of some nature on your project, it will qualify for this challenge. Now if it's hard to see your embossing in the photo, we ask that you please be sure to make a note somewhere in your post. If it is easier, you could simply let us know what is embossed in a sentence next to the link up for this challenge at the bottom of your post. It is time for you all to impress us with your creations!

There are still two weeks left in the challenge and we hope that you will be able to join us here on our spot in blog-land. Unfortunately, we have not had any entries at all yet so hopefully one of you out there will be able to join us! The odds would certainly be good for winning the prize right now if you were to join in!
