Ever wonder how your computer Hard disk was made?

These are a few process involve.
** base on my knowledge**

Yeah, I've actually worked for 20 days, or 240 hours.

And I'm proud to say that I'm the record holder for the longest working hours- partnership category (If I'm not mistaken). Hmm... why am I even mentioning this?... Just to say that I'm a *ahem*dedicated, persistent, hardworking guy *ahem* and of course a bit of perasaan. OK, I'll admit it, working 20 days is just to brag/show/prove that my level boring-ness is so high that it enables me to work for 20 days.

Ya, so lets start the review

I've learnt that
1. Team work and co-operation is very important.
Lancaster's law state that in a war the strength of both parties can be calculated by

strength= no. of army ^2 x weapon power

Imagine in a situation where both parties, A and B have the same weapon power, but A has 3 army, while B only 2. Then the strength ratio of A to B will = 9:4. See teamwork!!!

A 2"x4" steel bar can withstand about 600 lb, with 2 identical steel bars, how much weight can they withstand? maybe you answered 1200lb? But in actual fact, they can withstand a weigh up to 1800 lb, that's 3 times the strength of a single steel bar! See co-operation

Now imagine, you have 3 technicians working on a 12 hour shift. How can you implement teamwork, n co-operation among them? Taking 12/3= 4 hr, so instead 3 poor soul working 12hr, 1 person only needs to work for 4 hours, and get the pay for a 12hr job!!!! Once again, SEE the importance of........, no need to repeat myself.

I've discovered that
What you have studied doesn't necessarily be related to your job.
Come on, you don't need aSPM/diploma to do this job, but in reality most of them are diploma holders.
So study hard!! Although good academic grade won't necessary guarantee you a great job.

1.Next week will be Hari Raya, going to be a busy week.
2. Keng Hwa a.k.a. Iron-hwa will be also coming up North to PEnang.

At WD media Penang, only the Media is been produce here. Yeah just the CD inside the hard disk. The hard disk is been manufactured in PJ & Thailand.

If I'm not mistaken, each media is about 80 GB.
So basically there are 3 different media. Namely, Venus, Denali, Pinnacle



Venus-It's a 65mm diameter media, but made of aluminum. Usually for laptop HD

After about 10 days working in WD media, then only I realized that there is a Japanese doll on top of every Anelva!!! ( the name of the machine)

How terrible, horrible, vegetable can my observations be? Well, back to the dolls, they are called----Daruma Dolls


"Daruma dolls (達磨, daruma), also known as dharma dolls, are hollow and round Japanese wish dolls with no arms or legs, modeled after Bodhidharma, the founder and first patriarch of Zen.^[1] Typical colors are red (most common), yellow, green, and white. The doll has a face with a mustache and beard, but its eyes only contain the color white. Using black ink, one fills in a single circular eye while thinking of a wish. According to the workers, the dolls were placed once the Japanese engineers successfully set up the machine, and they'll have a kenduri there.

Something to mention, The dolls in WD media only have 1 eye. So I guess the Japanese engineers made a wish : " hope that the machine will be able to run for ever !!"

And some says that if you shift the doll, the machine can't work well!!!
Believe it??? You better do.

Haha, i'm taking a break away from work.

LOL, it;s semester break, of course I should be taking a break.

It's funny, I said I'm going to take a break, but I think that I'll be coming back with a even tried body.

Going to Genting in 8hrs.

The last time I went up to Genting was about 3 years ago, with Chinese debate group.
It was during March holidays, in the midst of preparing for a competition, the trip really gave us a time to relax.

Hopefully the weather will be fine :)

Today is the 13th day, I have been working. Have been busy earning money working.

On the 11th day, I went for a Level 1 certification test--basic knowledge of work, and I passed!! yeah.... lol that means a 10 ringgit increment in "pocket money"

The partnership program in WD stared with 20 for interview, 10+ for orientation, 5 working, and now I only see 2 ( me and another guy)


So lets sum up what I learned so far-

Motivation- motivation is important to keep yourself awake while working.
Ways to motivate self a.k.a. tipu sendiri

1. keep calculating the amount of money you'll be receiving during pay day
2.Don't ever look at the time, it moves slower when someone is staring at it.
3.Instead of saying: aiyo.................... 5 more hours till work ends, you should say: yeah, I've completed 7 hours of work!!!! n feel the pride for accomplishing such good job.
4. Tell yourself that this is a very interesting job.

Dreaming- dreaming about the future is so important, with a relaxing job, I have sometime to dream n think on what I'll want to do. what i want to achieve etc etc


Be Lame - lame jokes are good in ice breaking.

...rambutan, kerana dia tunjuk orang bulu dia

....Pisang, karana hatinya di luar

5. Mekanik guna spanar untuk membaiki enjin kapal, tiba-tiba enjin kapal meletup dan kapal tenggelam, apa yang hidup?

...zebra, tengok betapa banyak black tie dia ada!




My current opinion:" there is no useless/boring job, there is only people who doesn't know how to enjoy " Said by someone who has just worked for 13 days:)

Change your view, maybe you'll see something new:) *easy to say la..

really I thought I would be learning anything, but hey, just look how much I've learn!!

It is easy to do what you like, but not everytime you can do what you like,then you have to like what you do!!

I remembered one scene from kung fu panda

It was the 1st night after been chosen as the "dragon warrior"

PAnda went out, this time he walked in to tigress's room

So it there such thing as, " this is not your Place"?

Well last time I use to think that one should focus in something your are good in, n improve.
And for thing that you are not really good in, just forget it. With a rule that that something is not necessary needed in order to live.

However, now I would say, You should focus on things that you want to do, things that you have passion in. One might not have Passion in thing that one is good in, because you might be force to do it good. Eg. you are good in playing piano, because to were force to take up lesson, and not because you like playing piano.

You should focus on things that you want to do, things that you have passion in, although you might not be good in it. ( yet)

So it there such thing as, " this is not your Place"?
no. There is only such a thing as " Do you want to be good in it?"

After living in this land for 18 years, I just found out that I'm not a citizen of this country?

Well according to some Ahmad guy, I'm actually "orang asing".

UMNO election coming soon, and of course we always need someone to play the role of a superhero, right?

Or, this could just be a conspiracy, He is actually a secret member of PKR, try to stir thing up, who knows?

Yesterday, the Penang state Merdeka Celebration was held at Queensbay Mall, walking distance from my house.
I went for the event, cause i'm patriotic free and it is just too near my house for me not to go.

It was the first time, after almost 18 years living in Malaysia. :)

How was it? Standard I would say, play some Patriotic song, dance, performance, then marching, and "vehicle marching" displaying all the bomba trucks, ccivil defense boats etc.
