2010 Final Year Project Log

I don't really remember the whole details, just agak-agak lah :)

Once upon a time, in a land far far away, live a wise king- King Soloman.
One fine day...
( I really don't remember the story, all I know is ther;s a king, 2 women and a baby so I've decided to copy it from Wikipedia! Long live Wikipedia!)

As the story continues: One fine day, two new mothers approach Solomon, bringing with them a single baby boy.
Each mother presents the same story - she and the other woman live together. One night, soon after the birth of their respective children, the other woman woke to find that she had smothered her own baby in her sleep. In anguish and jealousy, she took her dead son and exchanged it with the other's child. The following morning, the woman discovered the dead baby, and soon realized that it was not her own son, but the other woman's.

After some deliberation, King Solomon calls for a sword to be brought before him. He declares that there is only one fair solution: the live son must be split in two, each woman receiving half of the child. Upon hearing this terrible verdict, the boy's true mother cries out, "Please, My Lord, give her the live child - do not kill him!" However, the liar, in her bitter jealousy, exclaims, "It shall be neither mine nor yours - divide it!" It is not clear what she intends to do with half of a dead baby. Solomon instantly gives the baby to the real mother, realizing that the true mother's instincts were to protect her child, while the liar revealed that she did not truly love the child.

In today we face a similar case,just the baby was given a a very long and sad name

But too bad for the baby, both Mums just want him to be split!
Cruel mums!!

And we'll have a short weather report of the Island up north.

windy can be a good thing, but too strong, that's bad. It blew down the bamboo planted in pots

" It's so strong that I feel like I would fly away if I jump !" said my brother, SW.

And of course the strong wind brought along an unnamed storm along.

Now, the million rupee question: Why did it rain so heavily

A. he cheated
B. he's lucky
C. he's a genius
D. he just washed the car

Yes Chinese New is around the corner! It is just 1 week away!
So during this festive session, don't forget to seize this opportunity to send ur greeting & regards to all your relatives, and friends!

Of course, besides those e-CNY cards, and sms wishes, sending traditional CNY cards can be a good option too

Here are some reasons why you should send CNY cards to friends and family
1. because it is more 'real' compared to the e-cards n sms, because you can at least feel the card!
2. you can make those relatives/ long lost frens remember about ur existence!
3. Furthermore, once people receive your beautiful card, they can paste it on they walls as decoration! See you help them to make their house a better looking place!
4. Do you really need more reasons on why to send CNy cards? It Chinese new year! So just send, spread the happiness!


Of course those "reasons" listed above are not really reasons, they were more like "excuses" you use to cover your "real" motif of sending CNY greeting cards.

The only reason why you should send CNY greeting cards to ur friends and relatives is
So that they feel grateful among receiving your, and in the future IF, IF you really need $$, you can always go back to ur friends and relatives!

So dear all, if you so happen to receive CNY greeting cards from ME, you know why you got it!

Time and tide wait for no man!!!

It is another Monday, tomorrow will be Tuesday, then come Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday again, and one week gone!

Today is the 24th, next come 25th, follow by 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th then KABOOM, another month just pass by!

Now is November, then come December, and after that a whole new year!!

Just realize, I've been in Penang for almost a year now!

Google Sketch up 6

It's a very powerful, but easy to use 3D drawing software form google. It comes with detail tutorials on youtube, and after watching a few short clips, you are ready to start drawing. Well lets say , your dream home? Most importantly, this software is free!! YES free! (of course there is a Pro version which requires $$, but the free one is good enough from me)


In addition, it comes with a plugin called- sketcy physics
With this plugin you can re-create all those physics lab experiments.
You can create a car and let it roll down an incline plane, or even observe collision between objects.
Of course, the sketchy physics thingy is still very new to me.
My car would either fall apart; would move down the plane at all or it will just fall through the plane, like a ghost...

So a friend had a project, something about creativity and innovation.
The task- create something that can solve people's daily problem.
So I was asked to list down some of my daily problems, to well help in the project.
Hmm, so what are problems that I face daily? This is a tough one, because I just realize that I'm not observant about thing around me, happenings in life etc..
hmm why is it so??

AH....opportunity cost, how I like to use it to explain anything is possible, especially when it involves making decision.

Opportunity cost - is the value of the next best choice that one gives up when making a decision...

A friend asked: " issit possible to kau lui without spending money?"

My answer:" Aiyo it all depends on you, it is not about the money, it is the value you get from spending the money. Opportunity cost, u got to give up something to get another thing.

Next up!!!!

1. End test in less than a week
2. Right after end test going to Templers park ( seriously right after, test ends at 12, bus should be leaving at 1pm reach KL by 6pm, 7.30 pm reach Templers)
3. Not going for college nite ( come on it is open air) and to make up for it we'll go to a cruise 1d1n with the same amount of money needed for the open air college nite.
4. Genting???

I must admit... I"M A NERD!!!

Dreams, How important they are.

Without dream, Wright brother would never thought of building an plane, we would never be able to fly.

Come on, there is even the famous quote from Jr Martin Luther King's "I have a dream" speech

"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal." "

Without dreams, man won't be able to achieve what was once called " unachievable" or "impossible".

Dreams, maybe wild, fancy, too imaginary, but dreams somehow motivate us, push us beyond our limits, and give us hope.However, just with dreams, will not bring you anywhere, you got believe in it.

Once I've always thought that having dreams is useless, if you can't realize it, if you fail, then the only thing that you will get is disappointment. Yes, I was afraid to fail, scared to be disappointed. However, if you don't dare to go for your dream, to avoid failure, then you will not achieved anything by the time your life comes to an end.

Your future depends on your dreams!

Potential- ability or talent not yet in full use as defined by thefreedictionary.

So what is your full potential? Or should I ask how can you determine your full potential?

In physic we have height potential energy and elastic potential energy, which can be calculated by formula E=mgh, and another 1/2Fx.. not too sure.

SO where is the formula to calculate our full potential in life?
And why do we want to find out your full potential? So that you can live life to the fullest?

As seen from the definition, potential is the ability or talent not yet in full use, and maybe still unknown!!!

For example, if you have a certain ability which isn't obvious ( or else we wont call it potential right?), but you didn't cultivate it (using the right word ?) , so is it counted as "wasting" your potential?

On the other hand, won't it be very er... how do I put it, boastful or big-headed to say that ur ability or talent is wasted before such ability or talent is obvious. Won't i be saying something like" hey I'm going to be rich , but just because I didnt get the right education n opportunity, so now i'm not rich?" You don't have something yet, so how can so you have loss or wasted something?

Then, again, will some thought like the one mention above, hinder you from achieving your full potential?

So everything still boils down to what is your full potential in life?

Well, maybe you won't understand what I', writing here, cause it is just some crap and random thoughts.

Life will be so much meaningful without having such thought. Appreciate what you have now, live life to the fullest !! :)
