Have A "BOOTIFUL" Halloween!!!

This beauty is taken in Avondale Cemetery in Flint, Michigan. It is probably the oldest cemetery in Flint and alot of families are buried in it. Including some of Sim's family. We were on our way to church and Sim turned so I could get some pics!! I guess he saw in my eyes OMG I want pictures!! Thank God I had my camera with me!! Yay!!

God is awesome!! I love the beauty of His world in the simplest things. They are tiny little gifts everyday.

Thought I'd share alittle of my Fall decorating in my livingroom with you. I just added these cool crows from the $1.00 store to the shoulders of my vintage fur cape and vintage coat. It was so funny cuz Kaitlin hadn't seen them yet and we had our church ladies over for circle. She goes Mom when did you put those creepy birds on there!! The ladies laughed cuz they know me and never know what to expect from me!!! LOL
Today has been a great day I went and met a couple of cuzins for breakfast and Kaitlin was able to go too. Kaitlin and I hit a 70% off sale at JoAnn's for Halloween and Fall!! OMG!! What fun!! We got cute Secret Sister gifts on the cheap!!! I love when you can do that and get better priced gifts that way but for next to nothing!!! I didn't even buy one thing of fabric or any magazines!! I am really proud of myself for that!! LOL

Here is "Aimie Oakleaf" my new Farmgirl Rag Doll listed in my Etsy Shoppe!! She is so cute and matches my Farmgirl Pigg Doll "Acorn".

This past Saturday we had Ladies Craft Day at our church. Kaitlin took this pic of me with her groovey I phone. It is so much fun you bring whatever you want to work on. This is me making my new Mice pincushions. Good thing I didn't swallow that pin I had in my mouth!! LOL I finally got the Mice made exactly how I wanted and will be listing them tonight in the shoppe! So cute!! That one I am working on is from a cashmere sweater I am upcycling. Love it. I am even making matching pins for them. Pretty good for someone who is petrified of mice!! LOL
Hope you all have a great week.
XOXO Love, Fran.

Well shame on me!!

Hey Dudettes!! Whatz up?

Well this is me throwing a hatchet up in the air at a Woodbee Day I went to in Port Hope, Michigan. Can ya dig it I am actually throwing that baby up in the air!! Go me and I am also rockin out my new Cowgirl boots!! This was so much fun. They call it a Woodbee like a Sewingbee only it takes place in the woods and you do all these lumberjack things to win woodals!! You know like metals!! They are small pieces of wood cut and strung with twine to wear around your neck!! So cool! Didn't win any but Sim won one and this little boy didn't get one cuz they were short one so Sim gave his up for him. He's so sweet like that!! I also did the Jack n Jill saw cutting with Sim. Didn't place there but we kept the piece of wood we cut. They had all kinds of homemade soups and breads and desserts too. A very cool day and I am looking forward to going again next year.

I had my first Craft Show of the season.

This is one of the reasons I've been MIA. I was getting ready for the craft show and sewing like crazy!! The craft show was a bust becuz the Festival got rained out. Alot of festivals here in Michigan got rained out and it was not good for us crafters! Everyone was cold and wet and left!! Bummer!! But at least I am ready for the next one and have stuff for my Etsy Shoppe! Christmas is coming!! I am so excited to share with you my newest creation!!

I LOVE LOVE how these turned out!! I upcycled an old 80's sweatshirt for these "maters"!! Oh my goodness they turned out better than I pictured them in my head!! LOL I have three baskets full. I also put green twine wrapped around the berry basket. Kinda hard to see in the pic but it is cute too. These will be listed in my Etsy shoppe later tonight!!
So I've been missing blogging but been tyring to keep up on everything! Boy is it hard when you also are trying to get ready for things like craft shows. So glad it's over now though. Now I will be working on Christmas goodies. Gotta make more grubby piggs I only have one left!! Yay! And I also have another Fall Farm Girl almost done and ready. She's a cutie!! Wait til you see her grubby prim hair!! LOL
So what have you all been up to? I've missed ya!!
XOXO Love ya, Fran.

This little piggy is going to Market!!!!

Here she is my newest creation!!! I had to name her "Mud Pie" after I put her out in the sun to grubby up!! She baked real good in our Mich sun!!! She is 6 inches tall when she is sitting. I upcycled her from the same old blanket I have been using for quite a few of my things I've been creating lately!! I took her outside for a photo shoot!!

I will be listing "Mud Pie" in my etsy shoppe www.thebagglady76.etsy .com. I'll be rockin out another one for sure!!

And this is my harvest I got today for our dinner from our garden!! Can ya dig it!! I just loved going outside and pickin the fresh veges!! All of the hard work is starting to pay off!! I put some chicken breast in the oven and we had salad from all of this!! YUMMO!!!
Besides cleaning the house and trying to stay cool this is what I have been doing. We are going to be having a driveway sale this week so I'm gathering things to sell. I'm making a mess in my livingroom and it's driving me crazy!! LOL But hopefully we'll do good.
Peace out, XOXO Love, Fran.

Check this little cutie out and a few other things I got!!

This is what I got on our date on Saturday to the Antique mall!! It was one of those things you walk right up to and just know you're gonna buy it!! And we did!! LOL After I finish this spot up in the yard I'll show more. Right now I have my pansies in there I haven't planted yet. Our Michigan weather has been alittle chilly still and I haven't wanted to be outside planting!! LOL We had a great date and was gone all day. I had to laugh at myself I was in bed and asleep before 9:00 pm!!

These also came from the Antique Mall. I love this potholder and it has the colors of my kitchen in it. And I also have this thing about jars!! LOL And I loved the shape of this one and the zinc lid. The prairie doll I just had to have!! LOL She's so sweet!! She is upcycled from clothes on part of her. I always like that!!

Can you believe I got this awesome Prim and Grubby Sweet Annie salt shaker doll from a Boy Scout Fund raiser sale at the Catholic Church!! I love these kinda sales cuz people donate some great stuff!!

I love old vintage sewing things! And this tomato pincushion is so cute. I have quite a few pin cushions but there's always room for one more!! LOL And the apron pattern is so vintage and looks easy to make.

Here are a few more things I got too. Some birdies for my nests I make and a pie plate and this wooden pig! Isn't he cute? I think Pigs and Cows are making come back!!

I also got this vintage coffee can and some more salt shakers, a cute dog, and wooden spools! I'll be planting in the coffee can. I had an awesome vintage thrifting week!!

And this sweet rag doll is my newest creation! She'll be in my Esty Shoppe this week!! She is smaller than my other ones. I had alot of fun creating and designing her! Her name is "Libbie Rose" and her dress material also came from the Antique Mall but I couldn't wait to use it!! You can see it on the tray I have her on. It's really pretty. She is all hand stitched!! The sun was perfect today for some grubby thyme outside!!! Alittle chilly but still sunny!! I'm lovin it!!

Here's ROSiE!!!!!!

This is my "BlueBird" Raggedy Fran. doll that I have been talking about!! I have named her "ROSiE". That was my Mom's nick name. Her name was Rose Marie. Like I said one of the last calls to her was to tell her I had seen a bluebird on my porch looking in the window at me!! She told me it meant happiness to see one!! I hand sewed this entire doll also. I made the dress like a jumper and sewed vintage buttons on the shoulders. I made alittle undershirt out of muslin with 3/4 length sleeves. I looked up bluebirds and they have black eyes. The jumper is made out of some thrifted material I got but I thought was the perfect for the breast color. I grubbied all of this up with my special coffee/ spice mixture and added some molasses to.

I will share her details with you. In this pic the necklas was a book mark that my Mom had.

The little bagg I made from grubby chenille with a grubby muslin strap. On the bagg I added a blue silk rose that I grubbied up also. The rose came from my Moms house. I added one of my little tags and wrote "ROSiE" on it. My Mom painted pictures a few years ago and that is how she signed them. I put the bagg on her with a rusty safety pin.

I am not going to be adding this doll to my Etsy shoppe. She is mine! It has been very healing for me to make her. But if anyone is interested in one I will take orders. I am making another Crow, and some Owls too. I will make another bluebird sometime but this one is special to me. I had bought all of the stuff to make her before my Mom passed. I am working on some things for this Saturday as I am in a Spring Fling Craft and Expo!! I was handpicked for it!! Yay for me cuz I love getting my craft on!! LOL Thanks for checking out my newest creation!!!
XOXO Love, Fran.
