Easter Weekend Sleepover!

Easter weekend we decided to pack up and go to St.George for a couple days (We were so busy visiting with family I am really sorry that we didn't get to see you Mary Ann! ;( Next time, yeah? !!)

Needless to say the girls liked thier Easter Baskets! :D And Sam obviously LOVED his new Cars books- this is how I found him when I woke up! I know I got way too much candy...but Costco is evil that way! Anyway...is a 6lb bag of little chocolate bars really too much? My tummy says NO! But my backside says YES...duh! ;) Even though we had to bring all the Easter treats and stuff for sleeping over, I tried to pack lightly and I think I did a good job...if I do say so myself.
Lucky for us Josh's parents own a really nice little (extra) park model home that is empty (currently for sale) and so we had our very own 'tiny house', or as the kids called it a 'borrowed house'...LOL! It was nice to have our own space to spread out and put all our junk in empty closets...so Sam took advantage of all that empty cupboard space to play 'IN' the kitchen cupboards!!
The girls LOVE to play dominos with Grandma, such fun. Sam just likes to steal the dominos that the girls are playing with while they are in the middle of a game, little brothers are SO helpful!
We went to a VERY fancy restaurant, you may have heard of it...Denny's? Yeah, we are so high-brow! ;) Hey, if you want yummy pancakes, bacon, sausage, and scrambled eggs for lunch where else should you go? Izzy had fun eating almost as much as the other kids did...and I mean she ate almost the same amount of food, not just the same enjoyment! HA!! Then the little Biscuit LOVED having Amanda put my sunglasses on her, super cute huh?! :D
This is Nali, Sam absolutely L-O-V-E-S this dog! She is an absolute sweetie, Nali and the kids really have fun together whenever we visit. The only problem is that Sam has inherited some of my allergies...so I carry the brilliant invention of Benadryl Quick Dissolve Strips- thus preventing the inevitable hives and puffy eyes after Sam rolls around on the floor with Nali! Thank You Benadryl!!!!!!!
So, our Easter weekend was wonderful, mostly because it was so really great to see family! ;)
I hope The Bunny treated your kids well too, and that they were able to come down from the sugar-rush long enough to appreciate the REAL reason for this wonderful holiday!!
(hummm...I think I will go snag myself a mini-chocolate bar!)

The Biscuit

Two things must be explained first, so you all may understand this Post:

1. For some reason Josh has picked "The Biscuit" for one of Izzy's many nicknames...and it has certainly stuck. As you all know we have MANY nicknames for our kids, it is just the kind of crazy that we are! :D
2. Since moving further south we have now been exposed to the restaurant Popeye's Chicken & Biscuits...
Oh...
My...
Goodness!
I have had some very yummy biscuits in my time, I love bread, breadsticks(especially yours Lisa!), cookies, cake, muffins, basically all baked goods are JUST fine in my book. And being the connoisseur that I am I gotta say...Popeye's biscuits are to DIE for! So freakin' yummy!!! Wow! :D Unfortunately for my wallet and my backside there is a Popeyes about a 1/2 block from our house...*sigh*

Now that you know these two facts you will understand that when this 'story' happened you see why I HAD to capture it on film...OK, so I don't ever need a reason to take pics! :D

THIS is my Biscuit eating a Biscuit....
*laughing-hysterically-in-a-sleep-deprived-manner*

For some reason I get SUCH a kick out of this...
...a life? ME? Nah, don't need one.

I mean just look at those chubby fingers gripping that biscuit like a double cheeseburger...LOVE IT!!! :D

Biscuits make The Biscuit HAPPY! Well, just about ALL food makes her happy. You don't get to be a 28lb 10month old by skimping on the grindage...aka food, buuuuuuuddy! ;D

I LOVE this chunky cutie-pie! :D

In a related event later that same day, one of the other kids left the frig open (Mary Ann, I am about to follow your lead and padlock the dang thing!!!) and this is what I found! Who need A/C when we can just leave the frig open?

She was desperately trying to EAT two bottles of syrup, sweet tooth anyone? She had one grasped in each chubby hand and was having fun trying to get them in her mouth. HYSTERICAL!!

After being distracted from foraging in the frig by all of the flashing from the camera she decided to come after me! She has quite the balance, and for some reason is always up on her knees. Although she did pull herself up to standing by gripping the couch just today!! YAY Izzy! What a big girl...how do they grow up so fast?

Anyhoo, thanks for enjoying her with me!

(can you believe it? Two posts in one week, what is my world coming too? I will tell you, it is coming to dishes in the sink and piles of dirty laundry! :D LOL)

Just Another Exciting Wednesday...

OK, so I have not posted much this year...like only one post in both Feb and Mar! Just tooooo sad. Since nothing earthshattering has been going on, I decided to document what I did on a normal Wednesday...well, um...OK, normal really doesn't enter into the picture at our house, so just THIS last Wednesday! ;)

I made breakfast for the younger kids after the girls were off to school...and Sam took his toast and put it somewhere where Izzy could get to it, and BOY was she happy about that! :D Yummmm carpet-fuzz toast, my specialty!
OK, after my normal morning tidy/clean/un-disasterize of the downstairs, I decided to load my latest scrapbook layout into my album. I am trying to pick all the best pics from the month I am doing and put them all on one page- so far it has worked out very well! I still do a single or double page layout for holidays or Bdays or other big stuff, but since I am like seven years behind I figured it is time to try ANYTHING to catch up! Yeah, the baby in those pics is Amanda...my 8 year old!!! Yeeks.
Part of the difficulty of catching up with my scrapbooking (aside from having ANY spare time to do it!) is that I don't have any specific place to keep my stuff out while I am working. I have had to just use the kitchen table...and three times a day I have to clear it off, not exactly the most time-efficient way to get anything done!!! So I bought a large magnetic white board to keep my current layout on, I use a bunch of tiny magnets to keep all the pieces in place (because using adhesive is my last step) in case I have to move it. Genius, wot? :D But even that brilliance has been thwarted! It is a large freakin' white board, and I can't just put it on the floor....because of Izzy and choking and because of Sam and his penchant for 'rearranging'! :D Soooooo I was a genius once again, and I rolled out one of my laundry sorter carts and I put it up there, not only to keep it away from the kids, but it is actually nice to work from too!!! Hee hee!!! Either you are impressed with my inventiveness, or you are thinking...that chick is weird...possibly both!
Another problem is that due to my lack of one space for my scrappin'/craft stuff it is squirrelled away all over the house! So when I am working on a layout I am running all over grabbing stuff from everywhere! Which ends up strewn all over the table and a pain too, so I bought this little rubber tote for like $4, so all the big stuff can be easily loaded into it, used, moved around, and then toted back to be put away. I know, genius right?!!
I then went through all the kids clothes, and picked out everything that doesn't fit anymore, tossed a bunch in the Goodwill bag, and then separated it into sizes...I then braved the spider-ridden garage *shudder* to store it away in the rubbermaids that I organized, yet again, by size a few weeks ago. It was a project LONG overdue, and I am so glad I got it done!!! :D
I did NOT clean the kitchen floor like I should have...as you can see this is just one tile, and it needed to be done, but I was just NOT up to it. (Don't worry I did it the next day)

Thanks to the wonderful people at L&L Hawaiian Barbecue and thier really large portions I didn't have to make lunch- leftovers from yesterday of that BBQ chicken ....YUMMMMMMMY! I know it is too greasy, but so freakin' delicious! If you ever get the chance to go- DO IT!!

Of course after lunch and Izzy was down for her nap, Sam was watching a movie (Bolt is his current fave, he throws his arms up in the air and yells "YEAH!!!" every time at the end when Bolt does the 'Super Bark' to save Penny...SO CUTE!!! That movie is hysterical!!! )
anyway...
...rather than tend to that nasty kitchen floor I dinked on facebook!!! Ahhh, facebook- my link to the outside world away from diapers and cleaning. :) So silly, but it is so much fun to catch up with so many old friends!!! Besides...

I LOVE my computer, so many of my friends live in it! :D Tee Hee! :D
Lucky for me this was one of the FEW days that Sam took a nap early, like at 2pm! Hallilujah!!! Would you just LOOK at those eyelashes? Holy cow, I am always amazed at how long they are, why is it that the boys get the longest lashes ever? Doesn't seem fair! :D
Since I STILL didn't want to do the kitchen floor, I decided to finish my current scrapbook layout...I was planning on cropping these pics nice and tight to show them better, but hey, I am feeling pretty good that this post is even happening! :D
Once my cute Amanda and Emily got home from school we did our usual homework, dinner, bathtime, yelling from Mom to clean up, bedtime routine...none of which I had the time nor inclination to document! :D
*Oh, aren't those vests the girls are wearing adorable? Super huge THANK YOU goes out to Josh's lovely sister the esteemed Aunt Rebekah, she is a FAB crochet-er...The girls love them so much, and they are so dang cute! Thanks Bekah!!! :D Come visit soon!!!*
OK, I...hey...you there.....WAKE UP!!!! I am finally done, you may go on with your much more exciting life- and thank me later for putting it all in perspective! ;)
