Let me 'splain...no...there is too much, let me sum up...

Buttercup is marry Humperdink in little less than half and hour...

hee hee hee!  How can you go wrong when you start out a Blog post with a quote from one of the BESTEST movies of all time???! ;)

I was doing so well on this whole blogging thing!!!  *sigh*  Then a seriously nasty gahmbu hit our house...you gotta "love" it when a sickness includes barfing, congestion, coughing, and headache...so wonderful...
urgh.  It has juuuuust as of last night been passed around to our whole family!  I thought that poor Amanda had gotten away from it...until she puked off of the top bunk bed last night...nice.  So, needless to say it has been a busy and INSANE month.  This post will be alot like my junk drawer, full of random stuff, totally disorganized, and full of about 400 pens...well everything but that last part.

1.  Amanda's first Science Fair Project:

She decided to do the "Put food coloring in water,
and see what color creeps up into the white carnations first" project- with blue being her guess.
Just so ya know, the blue dye showed up first in the little white carnations we used...
her hypothesis was correct! :D

2.  Josh read the ENTIRE Twilight series...*sniffle*

I am so impressed that he waded through ALL that terrible angst JUST FOR LITTLE 'OL ME!!! ;)  I haven't really pushed for him to read them because he has had NO extra time with the whole being a Med School Student and all...but I  knew that if he could cope with the angsty-ness of it he would really enjoy the story!  While the angst was painful to him, the overall storyline caught him hook, line, and sinker. :D

3.  Our garden is growing ACTUAL FOOD!!!

Peas

Green Beans...um...do you see it?  No, no...over the the right...nope, look back to the left a bit...VOILA! Isn't it a cute little thing? ;)

and a whole passel of Tomatoes! :D

Oh...and I am STILL totally terrified at how well the Zucchini are doing!!! ;)

We have also been getting visits from the COOLEST dragonflies I have ever seen!

Amanda's pink roses are FREAKIN' OUT! Beautiful huh?

I can't imagine where these roses have seen an example of freakin' out...

Oh, yeah...there it is!
(Those are real flowers that she put under her headband...while she was at an Activity Days activity earlier in the evening, she LOVES going to Activity Days!)

4.  Sam is still TOTALLY obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine

This would be him in OUR bed and yes...he wants to sleep with his favorite battery-powered Thomas toy!  Last night he actually fell asleep cuddling a Thomas DVD...*sigh*

5.  and of couse Izzy is STILL as evil as ever!!!

Emily was so proud of the beautiful Block tunnel she built for Sam's train track...

so naturally Izzy tore it down immediately...with pleasure!!!
Poor Em, look how bummed she was!!!

We had cheesecake for dessert one night, and long after it was all put away I found Izzy sitting at the table having pillaged a HUGE chunk of it...eating it out of her hand...she is just TOO amazing! LOL

This is her new 'unhappy' face...we call it "Frog Lips" ;D

6.  Sheesh, how could I forget Mother's Day?  Well we were all pretty sick so it wasn't all fun and games, but as usual my Emily woke me up with her gifts...

She is so cute, I love this crazy girl!

...and does she know what I like! LOL
I love how she wrapped up my Diet Dr.Pepper in a pink ribbon...she is AWESOME!!!

7.  I have still been trying to get caught up on my scrapbooking...
we shall see if it ever happens in this lifetime!!!

Um, yeah that is one of our wheeled laundry hampers.
I call this "Mo-Bile" scrappin'...hey I gotta do something! :D

OK, so there were a few of the things that have been going on around our looney bin this last month!  Nothing too exciting...but when is my life exciting? ;)

Oh, and Your Welcome for NOT taking any pics to share of the barfing...

Random Post #584697b

For some reason I have really been slacking updating my blog for the past couple months. There are several reasons for this:

*Part of my problem is that my stupid computer has had a very annoying virus, and so I have hesitated to empty my camera card until I knew the stupid computer wouldn't freak out and dump everything.

*Next I have become addicted to facebook...yes, it is sad. Such a horrible time sucking thing! Buuuuuuut it is so easy to catch up with SO many people in just a few minutes...fits into my schedule very nicely! :D

*And my life hasn't exactly been brimming over with 'blog-worthy' incidents! I mean how much can I talk about catching vomit with my bare hands? Yeah, not so much the vital topic of interest!
*Lastly...it is entirely possible that I have just been too lazy.

Anyhoo...I shall consent to give an update to all of my rabid fans out there (all 4 of you, Thanks MOM!):

1. Izzy is crawling! I just can't believe the amazing little chubba-lunk can heft her vast cute fatness around! HEE HEE!!! OK, so this is a definate blog-worthy happening! She is just adorable, and now I HAVE NO PEACE!!!!! She is into everything, but it is so freakin' cute to watch her enormous bum crawl around the house! :D She is having a blast discovering our house all anew. :D Love it! I couldn't get the video to load here, but I was able to post it on my facebook page...go check it out! :D

2. Just like any smart baby sister she immediately has taken her new mobility to embark in an offensive maneuver.

3. I have started watching the show Chuck...I LOVE it! It is so freakin' hysterical! Makes me laugh, imagine a bunch of uber-geeks who work at a store like Best Buy, and one ends up getting all the CIA/FBI secrets stuck in his very smart brain...so of course he must turn spy. Sounds so lame, but it is really a great show!!! Oh, which is starting in about 2minutes!! EEeek! I gotta go put the baby in bed so I can enjoy the show, I shall return...anon.......

OK, I am back! Lucky for me even though it was a rerun it happened to be one that I have not seen! YAY!! Who knew that geeks were so dang cute! :)

3. It has been 'spring' here since the middle of February...so strange! Having grown up with VERY cold winters that last a Loooooooooooooooong time....wearing flip flops practically year round is a strange experience! We have already been to the park many times, and it has sure been fun to get out of the house and enjoy those blue skies and the sunny weather...

Oh, it is gonna be 80 degrees this week....eat your heart out my friends in the frigid North!!!!

heh, heh, heh! (I know, I am sooooo evil!)

4. Sam has FINALLY lost his fear of going way up in the big Playland, like at McD's. His big venture up the vast germy caverns was a great success. When he realized it was time to go, he squirrled himself away up at the top...*sigh* Lucky for me I now have minions....aka older children...and Amanda fetched him for me! Muh-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

5. Amanda and Em up in the Playland at that same McD's...so no news that the girls STILL act like lunatics when I say 'smile'...

6. Izzy is even fatter than ever...if that is even possible! :D Thus making her crawling an even more impressive feat.

Sooooo nothing too earth shattering going on around here,

Josh is still pressing his brain at school,

Amanda is still reading WAY past bedtime with a flashlight under her covers,

Emily continues to create artwork, block sculptures, fashion shows that never cease to amaze,
Sam is still boody-trapping (that's wha I said!! Booby twaps! ...Goonies, duh! ;) the stairs with various match-box cars,

Izzy is exploring more and more...and by that I mean destroying more and more,

and me...hummmm, what AM I doing? I am trying juggle it all....today I actually I got the dishes done, the laundry folded, and the downstairs vacuumed...until I have to do it all again tomorrow! ;D

Waiting on CSI...& death of a bug

I can't believe that I have to wait for two weeks to see the season premiere of CSI (the original one) I don't usually pay attention to, or remember when, TV shows are on- (especially since whenever I get time to catch up on shows- I can see them on the internet and be able to pause them when the kids bug me) But usually the first and last episodes of a season are really great. I have been waiting all summer to see if Warrick Brown lives on CSI. Yeah, yeah, I know...I have no life! He probably won't. Stupid TV shows. What will I have to distract me from my lack of life after the season premieres?
Whoa, rereading this really makes me feel lame. *sigh*
Tonight they killed Pratt on ER, Warrick will probably die on CSI...at least Horatio Caine faked his own death on CSI:Miami. Loser=me.
Anyway.
Last night I proved that I am not as uncordinated as I usually feel. There was a stupid disgusting cockroach climbing up my front room wall- way up by the ceiling
(oh how I loathe them)
I couldn't try to reach up and squish it, because, well...1st I'm not quite tall enough, B- there was a plant in the way on the floor and lastly what if it flipped onto my head? Ugh, ewwww, nasty, gross, dirty, disgusting...I would be still be screaming if that had happened. So I picked up a couple of the girls flip-flops and started chucking them across the room at the disgusting creature...AND I HIT AND KILLED IT ON THE THIRD SHOT!!! Now that might seem a silly thing to be happy about, but only to those of you who have never lived in an area where these filthy little buggers abound, they are really hard to kill. I don't know how many times I have squished one only to go and pick it up and have the little #$!#%^&()#$#@!*(&#@!# come back to life and scurry out of the tissue at me.
Oh, I hate them so much.
But I hit it perfectly and it was 'dead as fried chicken'. That will teach it to crawl around my house.
Wah-HA HA HA HA!!! (that is an evil laugh...just so you know)

$500 Lightbulb?

OK, I know that CC&R's are to keep a community nice and neat. But far too many nazi's are upholding these often ridiculous rules. We just got a letter in the mail stateing that since we haven't fixed the spotlight (yes one lightbulb- oh, that we replaced last Saturday) our presence is requested at a hearing on Aug 26th, where we will be given the opportunity to "present any evidence or make any statement relating to the violation". You have got to be kidding me. The maximum fine that may be imposed is $500. Holy crap. Perhaps they need to get a life? huh? And we used to think that Sunset Ridge was harsh, oh how I long for those days. Before you all post your angry comments at the unjust psychosis that sent us this letter, I have already called my landlord, who apologized profusely and said that she has already spoken to the Property Mgmt. and they apologized and said it was a big mistake. Gee, ya think? So annoying, especially since they sent a notice in the mail, and another the same day certified mail that I had to drive down to the really busy post office...with the kids...to pick up...ggrrrrrrrrr. A pock upon them.

Breaking in the Dawn

Well, here it is my very first blog...Sometimes I swear I am older than 33 *sigh* Perhaps someday all of this blog-o-sphere stuff will be easy for me, but since I gotta start somewhere here I GO!!
I am just finishing my second read of the fourth book in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn. Yeah, yeah, it has only been out for four days- you can only imagine the state of my house, deplorable- and it is amazing my children are all still alive! I don't know what it is but I really love these books! This last one is so great, the first few seemed like I was reading something out of the Young Adult section of the library...oh yeah I was. Not that I didn't like them...LOVED them. But Breaking Dawn was so much more interesting on an adult level, and I don't mean adult naughty X-rated level, just more grown up. I liked it. Now that I have no new book to look forward to my life feels a bit empty, kindof the same way I felt after I finished Potter #7. Seriously, I have got to get a life. I know I have a crazy busy life with the kids, Josh, and taking care of the whole household - but perhaps this blogging thing will be something just for me. I think us stay-at-home moms don't have enough interests outside of our everyday 'duties'. Not that I am complaining! I love that I get to stay home, sometimes I do feel that my brain is slowly petrifying for lack of use! Yup, this college grad can hardly help Amanda with her third grade math homework!!! AAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH! Perhaps I need to do some stuff for me to be able to balance everything else? You know what they say, if Momma ain't happy ain't nobody happy! tee hee.
Well speaking about everything else- the table is covered in syrup, Sam is still up at 10pm, 'Cars' is still playing on a TV somewhere and there are only three loads of clean laundry piled on my bed- in the same room where Izzy will be waking wanting her 3rd dinner any minute! Goodnight for now!
