Universal Language

Hello All,

For today I am playing along with NBUS, Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge, and The Paper Players. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

I thought this was an appropriate sentiment considering we are all in a pandemic.
Smiling is a universal language full of hope and joy.

I white heat embossed the global flowers and its stand.
This way all the inking I did around the edges resisted the white embossing making it extremely easy and foolproof.

I used ZIG markers to place color down on the edges of the globe then went in with an aqua pen to feather out the color.
I wanted to use the color to complete the circular globe. Not too defined but the idea was still apparent.

Age is just a number

Hello All!
For today I have a card for The Male Room challenge #08; Their theme: Letters and/or Numbers and the Happy Little Stampers April CAS challenge: stenciling.

By the way I am loving the new look of The Male Room's website and badges!! Who says men don't like color. Anyway, here is my interpretation on the challenges. I hope you like it..

The stenciled number seem to blend into each other
when in fact it is nothing more then white space.

Blue Hexagon sequins surround the number to
keep your eye moving around.

Okay, this is how I did it.

Cut and scored a CS base to 4.25" x 5.5".
Placed the stencil directly on the card base then sponged using Rich Cocoa by Memento on the lower right and the upper left of the card.
Sponged edges.
Stamped Gorgeorus Grunge banner and French Foliage (retired) splotches.
Stamped the sentiment and die cut then adhered it to the card.
Die cut the numbers '6' and '5' then placed it on the card.
Added 3 blue hexagon sequins.

Not very hard but wonderfully effective... Well that is all for me today!! You might see me again tonight! Take care and thank you so much for stopping by.

Spongy Palms

Hello everyone!
Been MIA my son had pneumonia then I got it and so on and so forth.. So I am quite literally back online with another card project. This one was prompted by Happy Little Stampers March CAS challenge: Sponging.

I thought this card would be a wonderful way to celebrate Palm Sunday. The colors, graphics, and design have all the markers of this holy day. I hope you like it...

This card was ridiculously easy and amazingly pretty!

Here is how I did it:

Scored the CS at 30 degrees in a grid pattern
Stamped the image then heat embossed in white
Sponged Distressed Inks on CS now showcasing the scored lines.
Wiped off the embossed leaves with water to clean them off.
Stamped sentiment, die cut the shape and sponged color around the tag.
Used dimensional adhesive and adhered the tag.
