I saw this video on a blog that I follow and I loved it so much I had to share. I love to dance and yes Mom, I do still dance around in the kitchen. (Just in case you haven't seen me do it in the last few weeks.) I wish that I could still get out and take classes. Maybe one day; when my life doesn't feel like it's going a million miles a second.

May's mayhem
Wow what a month so far! I blink and it's half over. My birthday is at the beginning of the month. I wanted a finished bathroom. It's getting there- I can just taste it! I have been tiling and grouting and cleaning and ... everything a 9 month pregnant lady shouldn't be doing. Not that I shouldn't be doing it, but I should have been getting more pedicures and sitting with my feet up eating ice cream. We did take time out to go to a movie on my birthday. Wolverine was an excellent movie. I guess anything with Hugh Jackman bearing his muscular chest for a few hours is okay by me. Then it was Mother's Day. I did get my new carpet in my bedroom and got to sleep in my master bedroom for the first time in a few months that weekend. That was awesome! Jason also installed the toilet and vanity. Oh- it's the little things, right? My whole family went to my Mom's house for dinner on Sunday. I had Kelly take a few pictures of Brendan and me to commorate my last few days of pregnancy. Brendan has been so cute with my tummy that I had to get it in photos.
Brendan always had to kiss his baby sister when he left for pre-school and to go to bed at night.
Giving Baby Addison a big hug.
"Oh my gosh! She just kicked me!"
"Right Here!"
"Please don't kick me ever again." He thinks that my belly button is the microphone to where she can hear him.
Showing off Kelly's photography skills
Not bad for being 9 months pregnant. Look at my ankles- they are normal again!

Noise-Free New Years
I sent my boys on the Nigbur Family Vacation without me. They left New Year's Eve, and didn't come home until Saturday night. Without crying too much on your shoulder I'll just say that pregnant depression= unhappy/tear-filled/want-to-crawl-in-a-hole-and-die attitude. That is another reason I haven't really written much. I just don't see the light. I don't want to be a wife. I don't want to be a mom. I don't feel like a real person. The quiet house was nice. I got to stew about things and really think of how to make things better. Sometimes I'm happy, so I feel like I'm having Bi-Polar disorder (which I don't, I just feel like I do. Not that there is anything wrong with having it- I just thought I'd clarify). I could laugh one minute then the next be totally curled up in a ball on the kitchen floor. I'm only bringing this up because it's real and a lot of women don't want to talk about it. I am dealing with it. It is real. I'm calling my therapist tomorrow.
While I was alone over New Years I went to a movie as a third wheel with my parents. It was Valkyrie. I loved it. I thought it was a terrific movie. I hated that it didn't work, although you actually know it wasn't, unless you're my sister who admits not learning that- or much else- in history. I won't tell you which sister. HA! Love you!! It left you with a horrible feeling though, because he was almost the hero. So I should have gone to a different show, like Yes Man. A thoughtless, dumb and hope that you laugh show. I then went home and watched Dick Clark's (hopefully last) show. Friday I arranged to go out to lunch with my girlfriendsand dish about our hubby's lovingly talk about our families. We had a good time. I'm glad that they were able to do it on such short notice. We were missing one though. It's fun to be pregnant all together. Debbie, Marti and I are due within weeks of each other and Angie is due one month later. Stacy just had one, so she is exempt from our club. Gina- well, we'll exempt her too. Who knew that with such random fertility's that we would all wind up with kids together again?? Gina, Deb, Stacy and I all had one around Brendan's age too.
I did make me a batch of Coconut-Almond Popcorn that I ate the whole weekend while I was alone. I am hoping that this month's scale still tells me I only gained another 1 pound. I don't know how it happened last month, but I am rolling the dice again.

Twilight movie madness
My mom threw a Twilight party on Saturday night. We would have gone Friday, but the movie was sold out about 3 weeks ago. No matter, still as exciting as opening night. We had a big pot luck dinner and about 30 people came. She had games and the U/BYU game on in the background. She was really excited about putting it all together and did a really great job. Thanks Mom!
I really liked the movie. Because I saw it the second day I had heard people liked it AND disliked it, so I didn't get my hopes up too much. I thought they did a great job. Stuck to the book pretty much and you believed the characters. The only thing that bothered me, and don't read the next line if you don't want to- but during the first part through about halfway there wasn't any background music. No score to have behind the dialogue. I thought it would be much better if there wasn't silence between the lines. But then about halfway through the finally figured that out and put music behind it.
If you have seen the movie- what did you like about it/ dislike about it? I am interested in your thoughts, as we have all been anticipating this since Stephenie announced it. BTW: Did you see her in the movie??

3 Words: Bond Kicks - A!!
We went and saw the new James Bond movie last night. Could his eyes be ANY bluer? When I first found out Daniel Craig would be the new bond I thought LAME! Couldn't they have gotten anyone better looking?? Then I saw Casino Royale. I immediately repented and bowed to the 007 creators for sending such a eye catching, manly man. This has to be my favorite genre of movie. I always feel like I can conquer the world, or at least kick some serious butt after I watch an action movie!
The first part of the new movie was awesome! They are in Sienna, Italy. I WAS THERE! I kept thinking (and maybe saying out loud, but who remembers!) Ooh, I was there! I climbed that tower, I saw that parade! Here are some of my scrapbook pictures to show how awesome it was! (can you tell I'm excited??) ((Please excuse the world before scrapbooking was SUPER popular. That, and this is what all my photo albums look like.)) If you click on the pages it will get bigger.

It's just a movie....right?
Why am I so excited to see Twilight? Not just excited... obsessed. Obsessed about seeing Edward in real life (almost). Are we as millions of fans going to be disappointed? Kelly and I were talking about this last night. We don't remember Edward and Bella climbing and swinging through the trees like we see in the trailers. I don't care. I'm still in love.
Did you hear about Obama reading the books with his little girls??

Put this in the "What The Heck Was I Thinking" catagory
Earlier in the week I bought tickets for a movie for tonight for our little family. What were those tickets you ask? Well-- High School Musical 3, of course. I knew it would be an adventure. After all, who doesn't love Zac Effron?? (And don't tell me you don't-I know better!) I really like the movies. I'll be the first to admit that it was my idea to go to the show. Then I got there. The theater was SWARMING with tweeny girl boppers. I'm not talking a hundred. I'm talking more like a million! Screaming, crazy, hyper-on-sugar-sticks girls. Mom, did I ever act like that? When they let the line into the theater you would have thought Zac aka Troy was the door opener. We got to our seats and a lady in her 50's sat by Jason and said "Good, at least I don't have to sit by screaming girls." And I kid you not- she was worse than any of the girls sitting around us. I told Jason to tell her that he thought he wasn't sitting by any screaming girls too. He didn't. Chicken.
At the end of the movie Brendan turns to me as we walk down the stairs and says "Mom, let's get out of here before the girls start screaming anymore."
*edited to add: The girls only started screaming:
1- When we got to go IN to the theater. Which was exactly when the movie should have started.
2- When they dimmed the lights. About 15 minutes later.
3- When there was a movie trailer with Zac Effron in it. Called 17 again. Really, when does this 7:55 movie start? It's now 8:30!
4- When the Disney logo came on.
5- When HSM logo came on.
6- When Zac first showed on screen, which was the very first thing.
7- When Troy & Gabriella kissed. (sorry to ruin it for you)
8- Then at the end for the credits.
I was very surprised that they controlled themselves pretty good DURING the movie. It was the crazy lady next to Jason that gave us a hard time!
I would have liked it better if I didn't feel so crappy. I'll give a review on it when more people have seen it. Jason said his favorite part was all of the short skirts.

Testosterone at its finest
Like most of America, Jason and I saw "The Dark Knight" over the weekend. We went with the usual group of folk who go Cinematic Events all the time. We sat by my parents, who had a couple of young men sitting on their other side. Now, I am ENVELOPED by this movie. If you haven't seen it yet, get off your computer, find a sitter and GO SEE IT!
The REAL fun, however, didn't start until after the movie was over. Jas and I stood up watching the credits to see if they would mention "In Memory of Heath" or something similar (they did). After I saw that I tried to urge Jason on but he was staying behind for some reason. I saw my mom talking to the kids that were sitting next to her but didn't think anything of it. After watching more credits, thinking to myself 'lets go, lets go, lets go'... Jason started leaving. Down a few of the stairs Jason taps a skinny guy on the shoulder and says "I really appreciated that you turned your phone off during the movie." Now I noticed that this was the guy that was talking to mom. After saying that to the guy, his bigger friend comes out behind him and starts arguing. I got in the mix, not being one to shy away from contention, asking what the big deal was. The bigger friend stepped up and said he didn't like Jason's tone.
I said to him (and mind you, I have NO idea of what was REALLY going on.) "You know, people come to the movies to see a good show, and it is just common courtesy to turn your phone off. There were at least 2 previews mentioning this."
Big Guy: "Who really turns thier phones off during a movie?"
Me: "Mine sure IS" pulling out my phone. "I want other people to enjoy the movie too."
Jason: "All I am saying is that it was pretty inconsiderate of you to have your phone on the whole time."
*****So here is the back story. My mom, sitting next to this skinny guy had to ask him not once, but twice to not answer his phone. How many times did he answer it you ask? FIVE. Five times he answered that phone. It was on vibrate, but then the blare of light that shines in your eyes in the darkened theater turned on all the time. So, after the movie she asked him if everything was okay, and if it was really that important for him to take all those calls. His buttinsky friend (who I am assuming was doubling as his body guard) said "I bring my phone just in case something goes wrong at home with the kids or something." Then Dad said "Then I wouldn't go to the movie. If there is something THAT wrong, just stay home." Jason was standing there listening to them mouth of to my parents (which is why I stood there watching the credits.) and was getting really mad.
So, fast forward back to the last thing Jason said to the Big Guy...
BG: "Well, why don't we settle this outside then."
Jason: "Fine, let's go. Mandy, hold my sunglasses."
Me, pushing BG: " Just go, you're being immature. Just leave."
BG: "No, I don't like your tone and I think we should go outside."
We happened to be standing in front of Jason's younger brother Brett at this point. He was sitting a few rows ahead of us. He stands up and is much bigger than Big Guy.
Brett: "Come on guys, this was an awesome show, let's just let it go and go home."
BG: "Your right, it was a good show, but who are YOU to be talkin?"
Brett: "I'm his brother."
BG: "Oh, well, then you tell him to quit getting on my case then."
B: "You need to show some respect."
We kept walking out of the theater, and the little guy kept holding back the bigger guy (like that would have done anything), but BG was insistent that they settle things like men. Outside.
Jason was pumped. Brett was equally as excited. BG and LG started chickening out the closer we got to the exit. They didn't go outside. In fact, they were hiding behind a group of moviegoers that were in line for the next showing. You could tell that they knew they would get the crap kicked out of them. I am glad that they didn't fight.
*** A PLEA FROM A FREQUENT CINEMATIC EVENT GOER..... PLEASE TURN OFF YOUR PHONE! Don't answer, don't text, don't even browse the web. It is annoying, rude, and if you have a problem, GO OUTSIDE THE THEATER!
Thanks for reading this incredibly long post. Does anyone else fell this way? Am I the only one in America that values a good 'alone time' without my cell phone bugging me during a movie?? Please let me know what you think!!

It's never too late to start
I got home from work today and we were planning on going to the store to pick up some more wood to finish the hallway. Yes, THAT hallway... we WILL get it done sometime soon. (fingers crossed) But I digress...
Jason wanted to rest for 30 minutes before we went because he had spent all afternoon helping his Grandma Putnam clean out her storage room with a lot of the family. So, I went to lay down for 30 mintues. I woke up 2 hours later, to find that Jason had fallen asleep too. When I went to find Brendan I called over at my parents house (who live across the street) but he wasn't there. So guess where I found him?
That's right... ASLEEP! IN HIS OWN BED!! (Yes, I hand applique quilted that all by myself!!)
He NEVER sleeps in his own bed, unless we put him there! He usually falls asleep in my bed and we transfer him when we go to bed. And nap time, well-- if he does take a nap, he usually takes one with me in my bed. So the fact that he went into his own bed on his very own is something to celebrate. Not that it will ever happen again, but I had to mark it on the calendar.
Later on we had talked about getting fun things like the Batman Belt his dad bought him yesterday. We talked about needing to do some chores- like make our bed, and put our toys and clothes away. So, tonight after we got home from the movies and we brought him home from the inlaws, he made his bed. I praised his efforts but told him that he needed to do it in the DAY time, not right before bed. But, good effort!! He wanted me to take his picture with his bed made. Notice how he has his animals all layed out. Now I just have to have him start this in the day time. Baby steps... What a kid won't do for Batman toys. Hey- maybe I'll get him to go to bed in his OWN bed at night! I'll let you know how that goes. (again... fingers crossed)
As for the movie, we went to see The Dark Night. It freakin ROCKED! It completely lived up to it's hype. If I were a member of the Academy, I would vote for Heath for best supporting actor. He truely did a phenominal job. It almost made me sad to watch him. But then I got over it. :)And by seeing it on opening night we got to see the crazys dressed up in costume. I love that! I love seeing movies on opening day!! I am now going to call them "Cinematic Events." I got that from a comedian, and he okayed me to use it.

Official Twilight Movie Trailer
Well, I went to see Indiana Jones tonight with the fam. Two thumbs up. I really liked it and thought Harrison Ford pulled it off although I thought he would be too old. You forget about that after a while. But, the real reason for this post is that one of the previews was for Twilight. I totally think that this Edward can pull it off, although I didn't think so at first. I have watched this over and over again...... LOVE IT! I hope we aren't all dissapointed by the movie because the book was so dang AWESOME! I guess we'll just have to re-read the book. Yes, Stacy I am challanging you to read it. You'll love it! Besides, if we do book club, you'll have to be in the know!!

You have to admit, he looks TOTALLY HOT in this picture! (however Bella is too glammed up... I guess it was for promotion.)
