What a beautiful, marvelous day! We spent the morning getting our hair and make-up done. Our sweet Ella was so excited to be able to have hers done as well. The soon to be bride & groom

On a side note, I was so nervous to give my speech for 2 reasons. The first reason was I was terrified I'd smudge all my make-up and then look like a major disaster the rest of the night! And the second and important reason is because not only is Christi my sister, but she is my best-friend and my "one." I couldn't come up with the words to express how much I love her and how much she means to me, so I was worried my speech wouldn't portray just what she means to me. But in the end, I managed to cry gracefully on stage, therefore not smudging my make-up, and I think my speech went pretty well. Here is what I said in my speech (so I have it always to remember)...

"I first want to take a minute and say how stunning Christi looks tonight. For those of you I have not met, I'm Jen, Christi's younger sister. From the day I was born, I've always looked up to Christi. To say she is absolutely incredible in everyway is an understatement. I remember always wanting to make her as proud of me as I am of her. Christi, I love you so much-you are my everything-you're my role model, my idol, my bestfriend. David, I'd always hoped that Christi would spend her life with someone who had the same amazing qualities, and now with you I know she will. I vividly remember the day she told me about you when she was living in Spain. I knew immediately you had captured her heart-she couldn't stop gushing about the guy we all came to know as Delicious from Mauritious... David, I'm so happy to have you as a part of our family and I couldn't be more proud to call you my brother. Please join me as I toast to David & Christi...cheers to a beautiful life together. I love you both. "
