Our Little Camper
So this weekend we took Sammy camping for the first time in Julian with the White family... we had such a great time - and it turns out that Samuel loves camping! He was so good the whole time, and he slept really well each night in our tent, despite it dropping to the mid-40's! The first night he actually slept 7 straight hours, which was the longest he's ever gone!
We had lots of fun hiking, sitting around the campfire, going to an apple picking orchard, visiting a pumpkin patch, and strolling the downtown streets of Julian... oh, and of course we ate apple pie. :)

He is officially 2 months old now - and 2 days. Yesterday was his check-up at the Doctor's... he got three shots into his legs and cried a lot. :( The Dr. said he's looking perfectly healthy, which is great! So our guess was right - he is 13 pounds exactly! And he's 24" long (in the 94th percentile of height) - looks like he might grow up to be really tall!

Church, Zoo, Aquarium & Party!
This week Sammy turned 8 weeks old! On Sunday we dropped him off in the nursery at Church for the first time... he's growing up so fast! He's looked so preppy in his church outfit!
We took Samuel to the San Diego Zoo last weekend with his Grammy, Grampy & Auntie Amy... although he slept through most of it. Here are some cute pictures from the trip! 
Okay, this one reminds me of Samuel because he loves to cuddle up like that in someone's arms!(not so much on a tree trunk)

We also visited the Scripps Birch Aquarium in La Jolla with our friends Josh & Chrissie and their son Matthew. It was such a beautiful day! 
Its so fun taking pictures of our new little family! Here's a few more random shots taken over the past couple weeks... we'll be sure to keep you all posted with all thats going on. Monday is Sammy's 2 month check up with the doctor - I'm excited to see how big he is! (My guess is 13 pounds!) :)

Smiling and Blowing Kisses
Our little Samuel is such a smiler! He woke up this morning so happy and we were able to catch one of his huge grins on camera. :) He also blew me a little kiss in this video below - check it out! :)
