A few pics...

I love this rainy day! I'm so excited its going to be raining for the next couple of days too! I thought I'd upload the few pictures from our camera and share some of them on the blog. Here's Andrew & I all ready to go to his work's Christmas party last weekend. I had a hard time finding something that "fit!" The baby is starting to show a bit more now! :) So fun! Luckily this skirt was super comfy (i.e. stretchy) and so it fit nicely!

Sammy wanted in on the picture too...
This week Sammy & I visited Indiana & Leia's preschool to watch their Christmas pageant. Indiana & Leia were both Wisemen and sang so nicely! :) Sammy LOVED clapping with the whole audience after each song. After the pageant, the kids had fun on the playground. No surprise, Samuel went straight for the "car." He & Indi had a great time playing together!
I just love Sammy's serious look in this picture! Its as if he's pretending to "really" drive and is quickly turning the wheel to avoid something in the road!

Hola!

Andrew & I just returned from a week away in Punta Cana - Dominican Republic! It was a wonderfully relaxing & restful trip, mostly due to the blessing of Andrew's family watching Samuel all week for us!

Of course, before the trip I felt a little anxious, mostly about the fact that we were leaving our little boy. I kept thinking on the fact that prior to this trip, not a single day had gone by where we had not been with Samuel! (Oh sure, we've left him overnight a couple times, but technically we saw him the day before and the day after... definitely a reason to feel anxious - or maybe my feelings were just heightened because I'm pregnant?!) Sure enough, once we were there, we had the most amazing time and had no worries about our precious boy. Samuel had the most wonderful week with his Grammy, Grampy, Uncle T & Aunty Amy. He got to play with new toys, took many trips to the park, and they took him on a day trip to "travel town" where he got to explore lots of trains and ride a small train! I'm pretty sure he didn't even notice we were gone! :) But, once we returned, we could tell he was very happy to have us back! Praise God for being faithful, and trustworthy, and keeping us all safe while our family was apart! :)

Now for the fun Dominican Pictures!

This is the view from our room... if you can find the ocean in this picture, then you can get a sense of just how HUGE our resort was. They had trams that took you all around the resort, but we opted for taking the 10 minute stroll down to the beach ourselves each day.

Andrew and I enjoyed a round of mini-golf one afternoon (he only beat me by one stroke!) and thought it would be fun to pose for a picture in this sunken pirate ship on the course. :)

This was taken more or less at the "center" of the whole resort. We loved relaxing by the pool & ocean each day after Andrew returned from his morning classes (yes, this was a "work" trip for him!).
The resort gave all their guests room credits at the spa, casino and golf course, so we made sure to take advantage of those during our stay! I had fun at the spa and salon, and Andrew had fun playing a round at their beautiful golf course! (I also played my first holes ever on this course and got a 6 & 7's on three par 4's! Not bad, eh?!) We got $100 in free casino money to use on the slot machines, and walked away with $65 in winnings from the penny slots! Pretty good!

And here's a shot of the beautiful ocean, the white sandy beaches, and the little baby growing inside me. I'm three months along now! :)

Lastly, a shot of our sweet Samuel! Oh how we love this boy so much!

That's it for now! Until next time!

Cousins

I feel that so much has happened since we last posted! Get ready for a couple of fun posts! :)

This year we spent Thanksgiving with Jessica's family. It was a wonderful gathering of family & friends and DELICIOUS food. Each year at Thanksgiving time, we take a "cousin" photo on the couch. We've been doing it for a couple of years now, since Samuel entered the picture. Here's the progression:
2008...
2009...
and 2010
Of course to ensure we get a "good" photo of the kids, we try to take at least 20 or so, with 2 different cameras. :) The kids are such troopers!
Below is a fun one, with each child being the sweet, crazy individual that God made them to be!
Stryder, the oldest, wanting to hold and care for the Laylie, the youngest (who isn't so sure she wants to be held!).
Indiana, being as silly as can be for the camera.
Leia, looking adoringly at her self-proclaimed "future husband."
Samuel, holding tight to his cars and giving Leia the "eye" to make sure she doesn't take them.
Ahh... don't they just make you smile?
What precious gifts from above!
