20 weeks
So we have officially made it half way through the pregnancy! I love feeling this baby boy move inside me. :) Last night it felt like baby was doing somersaults! You can definitely tell there is a baby in there now! Here's a photo we took last night:

IT'S A...
God is blessing us with a little baby BOY!
Praise God for this perfect little angel!
Praise God for this perfect little angel!
We had so much fun at the ultrasound this morning watching our little one in action. :) Thanks to everyone for your prayers thus far in the pregnancy! Baby boy looks absolutely perfect & healthy and we are so blessed! Below is a picture of his tiny feet! If you look closely, you can count all 10 toes!
What a treasure it was to watch this little one move inside me, and witness his tiny heart beating. I feel so blessed to have this little miracle. God is so awesome !

Fun times (amidst the potty training!)
Today marks day 11 of potty training, and really I couldn't be more PROUD of our little Samuel! He has mastered the 'concept' of going pee on the potty - - every time we sit him on there (or stand him in front of it), out it comes! Now, we're working on having him tell us when he has to go, before there is an accident! :) OH, and now he is wearing big boy underwear, voluntarily! This is one proud mama! :)
One night this week, Sammy was coloring so nicely & quietly at the table while we were getting dinner ready... unbeknownst to us, he thought it would be more fun to color all over his arms & hands instead of on the coloring book. (Of course!)
Last night Andrew took us on a family date to the beach. We had a take-out dinner picnic, explored the beach with flashlights, threw rocks and built night-time sandcastles. This was followed by some yummy fro-yo. :) We are thankful to live in such a beautiful place! My favorite part about going to the beach in the evening was that there was no sunscreen required!
This week my sister and 2 of Sammy's cousins came over to play. Here they are all swinging together, posing for the camera & showing us their muscles. :)
Sammy actually went on this family date entirely diaperless. He wore his underwear the whole time and we didn't have any accidents while we were out! (Of course, just our luck, there was an accident right when we got home, so we almost made it the entire day without any accidents!)
Samuel loves to build sandcastles, but his favorite part of all is to smash them down about 2 seconds after they are built. :)

Big Boy Underwear!
Here's proof that Sammy *finally* agreed to put on Big Boy underwear! (Boxer Brief style... he's got the regular kind too, but we haven't gotten that far yet!) I didn't ever think this day would come... most kids are so excited to wear big boy underwear, but not Sammy! It took about 3+ weeks of introducing him to them, and today was the big day! :)
Another big YAY for today was we've had 2 successful pees on the potty! I'm honestly surprising myself that we are even continuing the potty training into week 2, but we've seen some real improvement in him lately and I've got a feeling that this might be a good week! :)
p.s. - that wet mark on his shirt is just a spill from his juice... :)

Potty Training
So this week we are attempting potty training! We are staying home most of the week, and letting Sammy run around bottomless (or at least diaper-less).
Day 1 proved to be a day of 6 accidents on the floor, 1 successful pee in the potty, with about 3 additional episodes of potty time with a few drips coming out each time. Overall Andrew & I were so proud of Samuel! Even though we had those 6 accidents, that 1 pee in the potty made it alllll worth it! :)
Today is day 2, and so far we there have been 3 accidents, with 1 pee in the potty, and 3 more potty sessions resulting in just drips. We'll see how the rest of this week goes! I'm hoping for the best! We'll keep everyone posted, but don't be surprised if this week leads to the decision that he's not quite ready yet! We'll see! ;)

Christmas, New Years & Happy Birthday Andrew!
Of course so much has happened since we last posted... all in about 2 weeks time! We had fun celebrating with the Davidsons this Christmas. On Christmas Eve-Eve-Eve, we took Samuel to the best Christmas lights neighborhood we've ever seen. He loves looking at Christmas lights and he was SUPER excited about this house with a lit-up choo-choo train. He wasn't looking at the camera for this picture, but you can see the excitement in his face!
On Christmas Eve we set out a cookie & milk for Santa, and some carrots for the reindeer. We always did that as kids growing up, so its fun to follow the same traditions with our kids! Samuel looked really confused Christmas morning when he found that everything had been nibbled up. :)
We decided to take a family photo on Christmas Eve, instead of Christmas morning. We're so looking forward to next year when we get to celebrate Christmas with our little baby!
I love this shot of Sam's morning face... he is so excited that he gets to open another stocking!
New Year's Day was Andrew's 30th Birthday! Happy Birthday!!!!! We had all the family over for a make-your-own-pizza party with cake & ice cream, and some wii party games. Here's Samuel helping Andrew blow out all 30 candles. Sam succeeded only in drooling on the cake (you can actually see the drool if you zoom in. He hasn't mastered blowing out candles yet - its like he's just saying "fffffffff" when he blows out a candle) whereas Andrew did them all in one breath! :)
I love you Andrew with all my heart and am so blessed by you!
I thank God for you every day!
