All about the "D"

Tuesday was Samuel's 1st day of preschool! Our little guy is growing up! :) He was very excited about going to preschool, and once he was there, couldn't wait to start playing! He hardly seemed to notice when we said goodbye to him, because he was too busy playing with the trains! :) When I picked him up and asked him what his favorite part was, he said it was riding the bikes during outside play. Our little guy gets to go twice a week from 9am-12pm. I can't wait to see how much fun he has there tomorrow!

We had the best time celebrating Samuel turning 3! On Friday morning, his actual birthday, after presents & a birthday breakfast, we treated him to a day at Legoland!!! He had so much fun riding all his favorite rides - each one multiple times! On Sunday, we had his birthday party with friends & family. Samuel loves Curious George and wanted a Curious George-themed birthday party, so that's what we did! We happened to make t-shirts last year at his 2nd birthday party, so Andrew thought it would be fun to make it a birthday tradition. This year we attempted making tie-dyed t-shirts - and they turned out great! There was also a bouncy house, and a bean bag toss game which Andrew constructed himself! Everyone had a great time!

Happy 2 months sweetheart!

Micah is an adorable little 2 month old today. He is starting to coo and baby talk a little bit, and it is so sweet to hear his little voice! He is also quite the expert smiler, and will often smile for anyone who talks and smiles to him. Micah loves to look at the toys in his bouncy seat, and in his new activity gym. Its cute to watch his wide eyes stare at the toys, and then see him bat his little arms at the toys dangling in front of him.

We are so thankful that Micah is sleeping well at night. This momma & dadda are not as sleep deprived as we were the first time around! Micah will typically go to bed at 8:00pm, and will sleep all the way until about 3 or 4am, believe it or not! That's 7-8 hours! Then, after nursing, he'll fall back asleep until about 6 or 6:30am or so (then if we're lucky might sometimes fall asleep again until 8am!). What a miracle! :) At least that's what he's done the past few nights, so hopefully I'm not jinxing it by posting about it! :)

Micah is nursing well too! He nurses every 2 hours, but that can be extended by a long afternoon nap if he's taking one. He also sleeps in between every nursing session, so he's pretty predictable... if he's crying, its either time to sleep, or else its time to eat! (Or sometimes, its a poopy diaper).

This afternoon was Micah's 2 month well check at the Dr.'s office. Our little guys stats are as follows:

Height: 24.75 inches - 96%

Weight: 15 lbs, 12 ounces - over 99%... off the charts! ;)

Head: 40 centimeters - 50%

He did really well, despite all the shots. :( At least the nurse went through them all really fast! Poor little guy, its never fun to see him crying like that. He's doing much better now though.
