Tennis & the CUTEST story of the day!

*Don't forget to read the bottom of this post for the cutest story ever!*

So yesterday marked Samuel's first day of pee-wee tennis lessons!  He was really excited and did well for his first lesson!  He had lots of fun; he blasted a few balls into the net, and this Mama thinks he's quite a natural!  (which isn't too surprising, considering he has so many tennis-loving family members!)

So the cutest thing happened this afternoon.  Samuel, Micah and I were reading books on my bed (I was looking for an excuse to lay down for a minute!), and Samuel picks up a tractor book.  He opens it up and says to me, "Mommy, I can read, want to hear?"

"Sure!" I tell him.

Following his finger along the letters, he says (from memory) "Fast tractor, go go go!"

"Good honey!"

Then he turns the page of the tractor book, and tells me, still following his finger on the words, "And this verse says, 'Trust in God.  Don’t put your gold in the microwave, and melt your gold and turn it into a cow and believe in the cow.  Just believe in God.'"

I couldn't help but laugh a little bit.  I was trying to think to myself where he could have gotten that from... but then he continued:

"Number one.  Trust in God, and this is the fun part: Jesus rose again.  And here comes the bottom part… once upon a time, Jesus was on the cross and he rose again and he beat death.  That’s all!  Go tractor go!"

That is exactly what he said, word-for-word, I promise!
Doesn't that just make you smile?  He's got all the basics down - - worship God and nothing else...  Jesus died, rose, and conquered death!  Pretty awesome, huh?

Go tractor go!!!

fearfully & wonderfully made

No matter what anyone says, a toddler is still a sweet baby, especially when they are fast asleep.  :)  A precious little one (even a 30-pound tank!) !
Oh how little ones grow up so fast!
Some people want their little ones to grow up fast, but I still find myself so content with the stage that we are in right now.  God is so good!  Look at His beautiful creation, fearfully and wonderfully made!

To bring you a smile!

   Love, Samuel & Micah

He is Risen!

Our family had a lovely Easter... Sorry this post is about a week late...  :)  So, I'll get right to the point and show you all the photos!
We did our traditional egg hunt with the city of Encinitas on the day before.  (Over 23,000 filled eggs to find between all the kids!)  We met up with some of the cousins and had a fun time.
When his egg hunt began, Micah just stood there staring at all the eggs.  It took him a couple minutes and a lot of coaxing before he began collecting them!  :)
But, of course Samuel was a pro at hunting for eggs!
We attended our Easter service at church that evening, and then before bed we set out carrots for the Easter bunny.  :)
And in return, the Easter bunny hid their goodie-filled baskets somewhere in the house.  Samuel was so excited to find his!  Love that morning face!
Micah loved his basket too, once Samuel helped him find it!
Ready for one more hunt!  The boys were now pros at Easter egg hunts.
We headed over to Grandma June's for Easter dinner & another egg hunt with the cousins.
In case you didn't see his chocolate lips above, here's a close-up!  :)  And isn't our niece Rael so adorable?!  What a little lovey!

Happy Easter from the Davidsons!
