Z- Fold Nativity Christmas card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? I have managed to get lots of things sorted out this week which is good.

I have been really enjoying the November Challenge at Beccy's Place challenges. This will be my last post for the challenge. I can't believe that November will be over so soon.

I had made a z-fold card with some dies from John Next Door and I wondered if the same idea would work with the Scenic Nativity Border dies from Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine. In addition I used the Bethlehem Border die from Taylored Expressions and the Starry Night sky die from Creative Expressions. The Peace die is from Creative Expressions to.

I did cut some extra camels and palm trees. I like to decorate right to the bottom of the panels.

When the card was finished the manger scene was in black. I felt that it didn't show up enough. So I cut another in gold and used the black as a shadow. I do like it when you have an idea and it works out.

S is for Simple Nativity Christmas Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? I have another busy day ahead. It will be a real treat I am getting together with a group of people I used to work with. They are a lovely group of ladies. we chat for ages and there is a craft shop nearby.

I bought issue 184 of Simply  Cards and Papercraft mainly for the free gift of the Scenic Nativity Border dies. I knew I had dies in my stash that would work well with them.

To make the night sky I used the Starry Night Sky dies from Creative Expressions. Behind it I place some silver glitter card.

The buildings were cut with the Bethlehem Border die from Taylored Expressions. The gold star die came with the Scenic Nativity Border dies.

The black stable scene and the green hill with palm trees were cut with Scenic dies. I added Peace cut in gold.

This was my first try with this die set. I can see lots of potential for other cards.

A Christmas Shaker Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? I am into my second week of invigilating. It is really strange getting up early in the morning. It will be nice to have a bit of extra money for some treats at Christmas. This time last year I had no money at all coming in and I felt very odd buying my husband Christmas presents with his money it didn't seem right. Now I have a tiny pension and the invigilating money. So he will have a good present this year.

I was going through my files and I found a Christmas  card that hadn't been blogged.

I do like making Shaker Cards. The Snow Globe die from Creative expressions works so well when teamed with treat cups. Don't forget to look at your packaging though as I have found some that will work with the die as well. I used the Falling Snow Embossing folder to add texture to the background paper.

I created the scene inside with dies. The Sky was cut with the Christmas Night Sky die from Creative Expressions and I used the Christmas Cottage Scenes dies as well. The Snowman was made with a Crafter's Companion die that came with the Advent Calendar last year. (I have treated myself to an Advent Calendar this year.) The snow was created with small white beads.

This is a Creative Expressions die. I used Pebeo Gilding was on the sentiment and the Snow Globe.

These types of cards are always popular. I am not sure who will get this one yet.

Moving Along with the Times (MAWTT) - Winter Animals

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? I am busy with invigilating. There is just one Mock exam today. So I should get some time to craft when I get home. Tomorrow I am in for three exams which will make a very long day which will be tiring.

I am hosting the challenge that starts today at the Moving Along with the Times (MAWTT) challenge blog and the theme I have chosen is Winter Animals.

I used lots of my festive dies to make this winter scene. All the dies were designed by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions.  The sky was made with the Night Sky die. The Trees were cut with the Winter Trees dies set. The houses were cut with the Cottage Scenes dies. I have had all these dies for sometime. All the white I used is glitter card. This card really sparkles but it doesn't show in the photo.

Why not join in with our challenge? Click on the logo and you will be taken there.

The deer were cut with the Deer Family die set. They were embossed, I inked through the dies and backed them with gold card.

Santa was cut with the Santa's Sleigh dies set I added an extra deer.

I do love created scenes like this will dies. Enjoy the rest of the week.

Winter Scene Christmas Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How have you all been? We had a lovely holiday in Sorrento in Italy. We have been before and we managed to do some things we didn't do last time like visit Vesuvius and the Almafi Coast. We also revisited some favourites like Pompeii and Herculaneum. When I have sorted my photos I will add some to one of my blog posts. When we got back there was a brief crisis with my parents threatening to stop their care but for the time being that is over. With so much going on I am easing myself back into blogging gently.

I am sharing  Christmas card I made with  selection of festive dies from Creative Expressions. It is quite a while since I have bought any craft supplies I am trying to use what I have. When I checked I have had these dies for two years.

I do like how this card turned out and I might make a few more like this one. I am very behind with my Christmas card making. I have been finding it very hard to craft lately.

I enjoy  creating these cards with Santa flying across the sky.

I also love using white glitter card for snow. I used some ribbon to add the sentiment.

Thank you for taking time to visit my blog. I will try to get into the swing of visiting and commenting again. I am very appreciative of all the patience you have shown me.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Moving Along with the Times (MAWTT) - Christmas Scene

Hi My Crafty Blogs Friends

How is your week going? I had a lovely catch up with friends yesterday and I got to purchase some crafty goodies. The preparations for Christmas are certainly steaming ahead.

You might have noticed from my sidebar that I have joined the MAWTT challenge blog Design Team. I responded to a request on Facebook and I was thrilled when they accepted my application.  I am in team B and this is my first post for them. The new challenge starts today and the theme is Christmas Scenes.

I have been very guilty this year of buying lots of lovely dies and not getting round to using them. I used three of those dies on this card. All the dies in question were designed by Sue Wilson for Creative Expression.  I started by cutting the Starry Night Sky die in black. I used a silver mat behind it to show off the stars and the moon.

In the center of the Christmas Scene Mini background is a tiny Santa on his slay with two reindeer. They were just the right size for my card I just cut more reindeer and glued them in place.

I cut both of the dies in the Christmas Cottage Scene set in white and  backed them with gold mirri card to look like lights. You can just see the two deer.

The Merry Christmas was cut with a Signature die.

Thank you for stopping by enjoy the rest of the week.

Happy Crafting
