Penang Bridge International Marathon (PBIM) - Disappointed with Organizer
Previously... TZ and friend run on the bridge and gotten their medal. Rushing over to the bus stops to grab the shuttle back to Ferry terminal. But unfortunately, with the unorganized situation on the public transport (this is not day one issue in Malaysia when talk about Public Transport), most of the runners has stuck in the runner village. The bus was approaching and those aggressive runners have squeezed themselves to stay as close as the bus even though the bus is still moving...
Let's zoom in...
It took TZ and friend to ask around and figure out how to know which bus going to where, guess what? by using the oldest method - ASK. yes can't you believe that an International even the bus that ferry people to three designated points has to ask the driver.... Reminds me of kids playing the game of asking...
"Driver Driver where is this bus going"
"Driver Driver where you want to take me to... "
After 1 hour of battle with the crowd and shouted with the driver, finally TZ and friend managed to hop into a bus which bring them to KOMTAR... And basically they need to be harsh and squeeze their way through. What a joke eh~
There are few improvement needed especially those safety issue with near missed
Participant Park their car anywhere
The organizer allowed the participant to park their car anywhere they liked that has slowed down the feeder bus to feed the participate in/out of the runner village. This has caused thousands participants not able to get to the runner village before flagged off.
Unorganized Feeder bus
No one was assigned to orchestral the feeder bus even worst no signage on which bus went to which point. The participants have no choice but cloaked the road to ask the bus driver and some of them have no choice but pushed and squeezed into the crowd just to get into the bus. Luckily no one was under the wheel of the buses. (Extremely unsafe - BIG SAFETY ISSUE)
Timing Chip detector was not functioning
At the U-turn of 10km run, the timing chip detector was not functioning as expected due to too many participants. Not sure the detector has captured TZ's timing or not. YET to know. This has caused the runner stopped at the U-turn waiting to be detected.
Finish Line was a mess
Plenty of people standing at the finishing line to selfie, chit chatting, looking around for their friends. The participants were not able to run the last 100m to finish their run. There was no usher to control the crowd and the finishing line was not proper fenced to prevent those people whom already finished standing there to take pictures.
This is the worst marathon i haven't been, I thought WE RUN KL 2012 was bad but this is even worst, with lots of safety issues and lack of control on the crowd. Sigh~

Penang Bridge International Marathon (PBIM) - 10km run
TZ and friend went for the 1st PBIM on 2nd bridge. It's everyone first time running on the 2nd bridge and it's the world largest bridge run with 60,000 participants.
As early as 5am, TZ and friend has started to get ready and hit the Ferry Bus Terminal to hop on to the APBIM free shuttle that ferry people over to the PBIM runner village.
It was 6:20am in the morning, only 16 people on board waiting for the bus to leave for the bridge. Few minutes later, the crowd came in and the bus drivers has to reject some of the participant due to the bus has already full.
The bus was slowing down after Intel heading to the 2nd bridge due to heavy traffic. It took us 1 hour to reach the runner village and it was approaching 7:20am. 10 mins to the 10km flag off. TZ and friend were running towards the starting point and tried to squeeze in after the flag off. It wasn't a good idea but there was no other choice.
After the first 100m, there was the ramp up to the bridge. Everyone has slowed and walking up the ramp. TZ's friend has quoted this run as "Walkathon" instead of "Marathon". A mutual friend even quoted this run as "Running into so many lamp posts" (lamp posts = participant that walk in the middle of the runway)
TZ and friend finished the run at around 9:30am. Managed to get the finisher medal and happily walked over to the shuttle bus station. Guess what? It was a disaster in the shuttle bus station.... [to be continue]

We Run KL 2015 - Coming soon
My friend whatsapp me this announcement below...
Wow~ first time Nike Run is 21km... Usually i run 10km only.
So, i whatsapp another friend of mine to ask whether he want to participate.
Me: Yo dude, you want to run WE RUN KL 21km
my friend: 21km not 10km? Actually can also... (my friend has run 21km multiple time)
Me: yup it's 21km no more 10km. Maybe this can be my FIRST 21km.
My friend: hehe~ So you will help to register?
Me: Yes~ I could but hopefully i can get two...
My friend: ok. thanks :)
I have a bad experience during the 2012 run. I spent almost the full day to try to register 4 persons. Ended up i could only register two person and the slots have filled. The multiple attempt has gotten me to give up but eventually i still running strong to complete my mission.
Again~ not sure this year registration but hopefully will be smooth. BTW, why can't they using the Singapore system. Pre-tag and they will send a mail and give the person a range to pay and update their information.
Who is planning to run?

Singapore Safari Zoo Run 2014 : Unleash the BEASTS in you...
Have you heard about Singapore Safari Zoo Run? I didn't take part in 2013... this year my friend in Singapore has signed me up for this run... I decided to run 6km and it's a fun run. No stressed but fun... :p
This is my first time running in the zoo... A different experience especially have to bare with the stared from different animals during the run. And not many cheer from the organizers cause they have passed their cheering job to the host... :p
If given a choice to choose an animal to run with, who would you choose?
Have you made up your mind? Are you ready to run with your chosen animal? Hehehe... I won't tell me your choice but please do not ask me to choose Turtle eh~
It's time to hit the starting line... On your mark get set GO GO GO~
Due to great response, the organizer has broken us into few groups for flag-off. I was in Wave #3... This is a fun run... I spent most of my time taking picture of the animal along the way... we passed by Night Safari and day zoo. I managed to see the Night Safari in daytime ;-)
Come come come~ Take picture...Common word that you will heard most of the time... Fun Eh~
I finished the whole 6km in 1.5 hours... longer than my 10km run. Oops~ But anywhere i gotten my finisher medal too... Yay~ Yay~
Nice eh~

Was attending the Survivor run and being a Zombie last Saturday night in Singapore. A friend of mine has signed me up as a Survivor and Zombie. We were posted in the station near The Fullerton Bay Hotel...
imaging we were at the central business district of Singapore. Luckily, I never bumped into anyone that i know over there. I didn't bring my phone with me so my friend snapshot this picture to show where we were...
Let's roll the gallery and see how the zombie in action...
It's was a good experience with mud, dirt and heavy rainfall when we were running for our lives earlier as the survivors... due to the heavy rainfall, we do not have any picture of survivors part of the run. Sad~ Anyway,
at the end of the day, we became zombie and snatched for other people lives... Survivors --> Zombies voluntarily... LoL

This year run started quite late as i was in Europe during late March till April for my vacation. There were not many interesting run until the Sundown Marathon in Singapore appeared on May 31st 2013. Honestly speaking, i kind of participate more run outside the country then running in the City of Potholes. Maybe just scare to drop into the potholes while running... :p

Up coming
1. CSC Run by the Bay - August 25th 2013

Singapore Sundown Marathon 2013
Flown down south onto the island of Lion on last Thursday evening, Preparing for my first evening run on Friday late night or should I say early Saturday morning... The flag off was at 00:30.
On your mark, get set, Goooooooooooo....
Thousands over people rushing to the front to kick start on the run... Anyone able to locate TZ?
Rollback to before run...
snap snap here and snap snap there; upload pictures to the social media were what the runner did...
During running...
TZ ran the first 3km and then slowed down to walk for 6km with the speed of 4.0-5.0km/hr... and ran the last one km again when approaching the finishing line.
After 1hr 34mins 11secs...
At that moment, I was doubt whether able to grab the finished medal. While approaching the counter that distributing items... First item they given out was a can of 100plus, followed by a bottle of water and a banana... I was disappointed as i thought i don't get any finisher medal as i finished more than 1.5 hrs. But to my surprise, I was given the finisher medal before i left the distribution counter... Yay! Yay! I successfully added another medal into my running corner.
Overall, it was a tiring run but quite interesting as it's running at night instead of early morning. Now, it's the recovering of my soreness leg takes time... :p
On your mark, get set, Goooooooooooo....

We Run KL 2011 - Season finale run
November 27th 2011 Sunday - We Run KL 2011 was a successful event. First of all i would like to give a two thumbs up to the organizer for doing a good job. This is the best run i have in term of Safety, Refreshment (water stations), medical assistance and official personnel.
My friend picked me up on 5am in the morning and we headed to Lake Garden for the We Run KL 2011. We were early and have time to cam whore.
The run started on 7am... all the participant starting to run for about 1km and quite a big group of them slow down and started to walk. Anyway why not, the ultimate goal is to get the Nike Tee and have fun in the run / walk ...
Basically you can see the milestone board every kilometres. I saw a lot of people cam whore with every milestone board along the way. I was too lazy to take all the milestone board ... so i saw this interesting board...
Anyway, behind the 3KM board there was this water station and the cheering team...
TZ continue after spending some time to take picture @ the first water station... time lost 5 - 8 mins. Journey start again and he walked for another 3km and hit this milestone board...
Finally it came to 800m, TZ started to run again as many cameras pointed to the running for the last 800m stretch and cheering team from the audiences were there to clap and cheers... So, no matter how tired TZ have to run as if TZ has run the whole 10km... Have to become the celebrity eh~ .... kakakaka....
After the run...
So anyone wanna to know what goodies i have gotten after the run...
