A Quick Wordless Wednesday

Still EXHAUSTED from work, so here's a quick photo post. For some reason my brother wanted me to have a birthday cake at his wedding, so here's the 3elove cake my mom and I designed, complete with handcuffs!

Mary and Max

I saw the movie Mary and Max exactly a month ago. This is a still from the movie. It is Max's hand and the heart says "LOVE YOURSELF FIRST." I found the still on this blog where there is a review. I give it 6 stars out of 5. Although claymated, this film is not for kids. I'd say 14+

How I Feel About Parents Who Refuse Vaccinations

I've linked to this article from Slate before

From January 3, 1967 [a 4 slide Peanuts cartoon]

Slide 1 Linus: WHY DO I HAVE TO GET A MEASLES SHOT?
Slide 2 Linus: WHO EVER WORRIES ABOUT MEASLES? WHAT'S A LITTLE "RUBEOLA" AMONG FRIENDS?
Slide 3 Lucy: YOUR STUPIDITY IS APPALLING!!!
Slide 4 Linus: MOST STUPIDITY IS!

Thanks Penny!
(Penny posted this on Facebook for an entirely different reason -- her views are not necessarily the same)

My Blogiversary

I said I wasn't going to commemorate it, but then I saw this picture on a random blog and swiped it. Because it's Wednesday. Although this isn't exactly wordless. I seem to be having an explosion of new public followers in recent weeks, and even my first negative comment, making me feel like I'm finally really making it. So I just wanted to say thanks. Sorry no giveaway like last year.

In case you missed it, here's my first collection of Top 25 Posts

P.S. Is it blogoversary, blogaversary, or blogiversary? I've seen it spelled all three ways...

Christmasy? Or Not?: A "Wordless" Wednesday

Our Gingerbread Village

These first two are pics of the one I did. It's the "chalet" says the box

The whole village

Done Thanksgiving Day with my cousins / brother / his fiance. I was like "But we're Jewish." My mom tends to agree with me, my brother goes "It has nothing to do with Christmas. It's winter. It has more to do with Hanzel and Gretal then Christmas." You think?

2nd ADAPT Wordless Wednesday

I have nothing of note to write about today and realized I've only posted pics from half of the action. To see the first half, click here

On Tuesday, at HUD we taped the signs so that the people who locked themselves inside could read them

Banner says "ACCESSIBLE AFFORDABLE INTEGRATED HOUSING"

Spitfire always has a sign like this on her chair. It says "Nursing Homes = Hitler's Final Solution" and has some swastikas

Banner says "DONOVAN MEET WITH US NOW!"

Someone used chalk to draw the wheelie dude inside of jail on the sidewalk outside of HUD "HELP ME"

Banner says "DEFENDING OUR FREEDOM" I'm all the way over on the end in the baseball cap. Did I post this before?

Can you tell that's me chuggin on the water bottle? It was HOT outside of DOL that Wednesday!!!

We went to DOL just to use their deck so we could scream at Nancy Pelosi who was getting an award in this building across the street. Thanks DOL!

Last but not least, here I am dancin Wednesday night

The Pumpkin Outside of My Door (Not so Wordless)

I was in Michaels with a friend Sunday and these pumpkins were right in the front of the store, 60% off. I'm always low on $ at the end of the month, as is everybody else, but I couldn't resist for $5 and change. I knew I had end tables I haven't figured out what to do with. They are so light I carried it out to the hall with one hand. Forgot about the leaves I've had for years from a project I never did, until I got home and something jogged my memory. At which point I remembered the candy I found the night before on top of my fridge, reject from a friend who got them as a present last winter. I hope somebody likes them...

Makes me happy... :-D

Wordless Wednesday

Notice a theme in my posts these last 3 days? These three photos, although taken almost 2.5 years ago, are probably the most recent photos of me with a horse. I found them on my mother's camera after our vacation. The horse's name is Cadance, and yes, I know my helmet is too big.

Wordless Wednesday

I've been meaning to get this up--it's too bad you can't read my shirt. This is me and part of the anchor of the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor. I'm wearing my Defending Our Freedom shirt from this past spring's national action. GET IT???

Wordless Wednesday in Braille

Above is a sign on the outside of the gift shop at the Dole Plantation somewhere on the Island of Oahu in Hawaii (specific, I know...) In addition to the Dole logo, there is also a pineapple.

We were looking at vacation photos last night and my stepfather says "Look. Braille," half excitedly (it's under the logo). To which I said, "Is that why you took it?" He said no...

Sticky Note Wordless-ish Wednesday

I've been meaning to post these, found at the local Wegmans. They say "Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting!" My prefered phrase when I am depressed and trying to appear not so is "Masquerading as a human being is exhausting!" Close enough that I had to buy

As Promised, More Pictures from ADAPT in DC

The incredibly good looking Steve Gold at the fun*run in his hot pink Short Shorts

That's Mike Ervin, the National Fun Runner, also at the fun*run. I am such a creeper! I totally didn't realize that my friend CCK and I were chatting right behind him until I posted it just now. The person who took the picture didn't know me yet. Behind us is Anita -- the real creeper.

2 color leaders, Joe & Nicky, outside of the NGA the next day

Media people I think. At least that's Amber, media team leader extraordinaire, sending out her 127th tweet of the day!

Sign says "I'd RATHER GO TO JAIL" Where's the rest of the quote?

Can't decide if this is a good pic of me (in my Maryland ADAPT shirt) or not. It's blurry cuz I was dancing
