Merry Christmas Angel

I have a really fun project you can make up to decorate your house this year or if have time you can make up a few of these to give for friends too.  I started with the " New Angel Die"  set from Becca Feeken and then added lots of other fun die cuts to create a stand for her and a little house too.

To make this really special and angelical--- i picked lots of white papers and silver to cut the die cuts.
For her stand i used the "charming snowflake doily" i cut it out of white card stock and then cut one side off just a bit and folded it over on top of the other side to make a bit of a cone like you see below for her to rest on.  It was perfect and she actually fit in the slots of the die and I added just a few rhinestones to make it sparkle more.

To make the house for her i cut 3 pieces of the "Grand Cabinet" die set and added a really pretty silver printed paper in 2 of the centers to offset and balance all the white i was using.  Those i used for the back and then i cut out the center using the die in the set so you can see her in the middle.
It was fun to use multiple cuts of the die differently and it came out really pretty I think.  And to finish it i made a "petite double silver bow" for the front and stamped the words Merry Christmas in silver and embossed it and then cut it out for the front top of the little house.

The silver mirror card stock you can get at Micheal's or Hobby Lobby and cuts really nice with the dies.  They would be adorable to fill up a Christmas tree or great for kids to make for a craft project.
As always try cutting something in a new way or try new colors, you never know what amazing things you might dream up!!

Have a glorious day!!

My favorite Things...

It's been too long and i can't believe summer is almost here again.... I am excited for all the things we have planned to do as a family and of course it's warmer and the days are longer so that means more time to craft.

Today i am sharing some more of my favorite cards i did with Spellbinders when i was on the team. There were always so many gorgeous dies to chose from and both Becca Feeken and Stacey Caron were always my favorites.  And if you haven't been to the Spellbinders store lately you should go and see all the new things that they are releasing!!  It's amazing....

So this is probably one of my favorite things i did.  It's a wedding invitation using one of
Becca Feeken's pocket dies.   It's gorgeous and easy to make and then all you have to do is fill it in with the invitation and response cards and mail them out.  What could be more elegant or gorgeous than that.

This one i did for one of the trade shows and it was fun to do a little sewing and lots of layers on it with that cute little owl.  I love snowflakes and using them on all kinds of things so this one was really special to me.

And this one i loved the colors and how simple and vintage it looked with the dies and the cute little rocking chair die.  The saying was really special too and perfect to give a special friend.

This one i really love because how the vellum looks as a layer on the card.  The light aqua is such a soft and pretty color and layers from the dies really stand out.

This one is also one of my favorites because i mixed a bunch of dies together to make it.  I really love the gold and ivory colors together and the butterflies were my moms favorite.

And this one I love because of the pretty designs in the dies and the textured backround.  It was super easy to make with all those gorgeous layers that came in the set and a fun stamp i had in my stash.

Thanks for dropping over and seeing what's new.  And i hope i gave you some ideas to create
a fun card or cards to send out this weekend.... Big Hugs and Smiles!!

Crafty Secrets Spring Cards

I have been busy again printing up some gorgeous papers and tags with the Crafty
Secrets Digital Topography CD #3 and wanted to share them with you all today.
As always it was so much fun picking all the papers and images that i wanted
and printing how many sheets that i need for each and not going to a store.  I really
love the freedom of this and as you can see the papers are really pretty.

First i started with a fun digital print that had lots of angels and flowers
on it from the Creative Scraps Little Blessings.  And the mini vintage
DPCS 818 and 814.  I also printed out the light blue birds papers, the tan
print and the light pink print in the CD to match the images.  And then
i had lots of fun mixing and matching dies and ribbons to create my cards.

I really love the pretty patterns on this one.. it's super sweet and would be
great to send to anyone just to let them know you are thinking of them.

and for this one i used the border print and cut it so that it fit's
on both the front and the back.  It's a smaller card but utilizing the border
made it super quick and i only had to add a simple die to give it more
pizazz.  The brown ribbon and charm were from my stash.

And this one is my favorite.  I love how amazing all these papers print
up and the colors are just so pretty.  You are going to love them.  I have
a really old HP printer which shows you don't have to be so high tech.

This card is made with the same CD files and i used 3 Spellbinders
dies for it.  The Floral Ribbon Threader Card Creator for the blue,
Les Papillions Two for the ivory and Stately Circles for the ivory
one behind the Angels.  And just to mix it up a bit i just tied
the bottom with twill to give it a light and airy look.
All the ribbons you can get on Really Reasonable Ribbon so that
makes it really easy to do too.

Thank you for stopping over today and hope you stop by again soon.

RRR Patriotic Challenge for today..

This month on RRR we have lots of fun projects up using our gorgeous new
ribbons with a patriotic theme and it's been really fun creating so far.  Today
i used those colors but did my project with a slight twist and created my new
summer journal using lots of bits of ribbon and lace and some Ruby Rock-it papers.

So for this project i found this neat journal covered in burlap and I used a
few pieces of Ruby Rock-it papers to start the top.  Then i tied on a huge piece of
cream mesh ribbon.  And then i glued on this neat wooden sentiment over it.
The letters and numbers i found in my stash of letters so that part was easy.

and for the side... i love lots of ribbons and charms so i picked some
of my favorites and tied them on with these neat little pins and attached
it to the top side of the book.  Now i have lots of markers to mark special
things on the inside that i really loved to do this summer.

That's it for today but be sure and check back again as always and don't
forget to make something fun to link up with us on the Challenge blog.

Hope you have a really fun and crafty day!!

RRR Challenge for January

We have another fun challenge up on the RRR blog today using lots
of Ribbons and Hearts on your project.  It was easy, peasy i think considering
this is my favorite holiday.  I love all the hearts, lace, ribbons and other
good things and especially the chocolate from See's candy...

I was ordering some fun containers before Christmas and found this
cute tin so i decided to make a simple wrap for it and i found the
cutest tag for the front as my theme.  It says True Love's Kiss
and how cute is it to fill with lots of Hershey kisses for my DH.  I used
the white lace from the Love is in the Air Ribbon Club Assortment and I
also used the metallic edged satin ribbon in red to make the pretty bow that
is underneath the rose.  The card is made from the tags that come with
the Simple Stories Valentines paper and i tied it with the same satin ribbon.

One of my favorite products are all the cottage roses and flowers that
you can get and this way you can give a beautiful rose that will last
a long, long time.  I hope you like it and if you ever have a question
about how to do something please leave me a message and i will try
and answer it to help if i can.  Thanks for stopping over today :)

I love you Valentine card

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping over today.  I have another new card
today for Valentines to share that i actually started with the ribbons
and got really lucky with matching papers and other goodies to do it.

I love this ribbon with all the pretty pinks and browns and the paper
from the Crate paper set along with a pink solid went perfect.  For this
card i used a really fun die from Spellbinders Celebrations line that gives
you small perforations in it called Pierced Circles and with that i layered
one of my favorite dies Lacey Circles in white and pink for the back.

The little wooden sentiment is from Prima and the cute little button is
from a friend who I bought lots of vintage buttons from.  It was just
the perfect touch for what i was looking for.  But it's time to head
off to the CHA show today to discover lots and lots of goodies to
create more fun things with so i better post this and get going.

Thanks for stopping over and have a really amazing day!!

and then i covered it with cute halloween paper i had.  The
papers are from Pine Cone Press and the cute stickers are
from Doodlebug.

Here you can see some of the pretty ribbons that i added at the top
and at the bottom to finish it.  I really love all the bright fun colors
in this set and there is lots more that you can get to coordinate in
the seasonal section of Halloween too.  So have fun and create

RRR Autumn Challenge for September!

Wow it's hard to believe that it is Sept already but for me that's good
because it means the hot weather is over and the
cool brisk days of fall are coming. Sooo happy about that :)

I was out shopping in my local crafty store and found these really
cute fall cookie cutters and this adorable owl sticker so i thought i would
design a pizza box so that i could put them inside to give with either
brownies or fudge in them wrapped up.

So how do you make your own box you ask?
Well to customize your own box- lay what you want on a blank piece
of paper and measure the size and then add on the height that you want
to the sides and the back.  I picked just 1 1/2 inches high for mine
and it ended up only using one piece of 12/12 with a small piece added
to the bottom for the flap.  If you google pizza boxes you can find lots
of patterns online to get you started and then you can create from there.

For my project i used these ribbons:
green polka dot sheer ribbon too.  The papers are from Doodlebug
and Bo Bunny dots and the Spellbinders die is one of my favorite
called Grand Decorative Circles One.  The little Thank you tag is also
from Doodlebug and you might see a few more things with that one later.

Thanks so much for visiting us and be sure and check out all the other
teams designs for the challenge and enter one of your own to win some
of the gorgeous ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbons!!

RRR Pets challenge for August

Our challenge this month for Really Reasonable Ribbons is to create
something about or for our pets so i dug through my box of things i need
to use and pulled out an old ovaltine container to repurpose for a dog
biscuit holder.  I had the perfect papers in it too with lots of cute sayings
so i got to work and this is what i came up with....

I had to use 2 strips of paper since it was wider than 12 inches but they
went together great and i added ribbons from the August Ribbon Assort.
and that fun cut bow at the top with another cut tag i had in my stash from
Best Creation....  The tag in the front i bent and glued on 2 pieces of a
Spellbinders die called Scalloped ovals.  And i chalked it just a little so
that it had the look of those yummy baked dog bisquits.

For the top i cut a piece of thin chipboard with another Spellbinders die
and a piece of matching paper with cut dog paws on it.  The tag says
Good Dog all around it and it just seemed fitting for them.  I have 2 really
cute dogs that help me craft so treats for them are a must!!

Be sure and check out the other projects on the Challenge link
on RRR and join us if you have a cute idea and maybe you can win!!

Have a really wonderful day...Teresa

Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge

Today we have a new challenge up on the
theme.  You can create anything you want to share with us that
you made and wow you should see what neat projects
our team is sharing.  It was really fun!

For my project I upcycled an old leather wallet box
that i had saved and made a desk photo flip book
for my husband to put some of our National Park
travel photos in.  That way he can look at them and
think of new far off places to take me in the future!!

I used Bazzill Basics papers, acetate, chipboard and ribbon
from last months ribbon club set and some twine and jute from
the RRR store... It was really quick and fun to make and
the papers really make it masculine looking.... Be sure
and pop over and check out the other projects when
you get a chance and don't forget to join us.

Hope you have a wonderful day... we are off to Disneyland
to spend the day so it should be really fun!!
