A Song

A friend asked me to help him find a song. Haven't heard of this song for some while... it used to be the fav song for one of my housemates in uni days. That fella would replay and replay the song so many times until pretty much everyone in the house knows how to sing it. LOL.

Below is a sample of the song.

Day Trip to Johor Bahru

Made a day trip to JB on Monday for work purposes. Went down with 2 other colleagues, one of them driving us all there.

We started our journey at about 9:30am in the morning. Traffic was pretty smooth all the way, but the weather seems quite gloomy. And then it started to rain.

Along the way it rained and rained... until we are almost reaching JB.

When we reached JB town, we asked for instructions to get to the office. After some twist and turn around town (quite a number of one way streets in town). We finally reached our destination.

The above is not our destination, but just wanna mention that this is the oh-so-famous JB City Square. Heard quite a lot about it on radio ads etc, first time I'm seeing it. (Okay okay, I'm "suaku", I admit :P)

Here we can see the almost complete new immigration office (something like that).

We reached our destination at about 1:30pm. We proceed to have a simple lunch before going for our meeting at 2pm.

After doing some presentations and demos followed by some discussions, the meeting was adjourned at about 4:30pm.

Once we're done with the meeting, we hit the road once again.

Leaving JB... this is the Senai toll exit.

The weather looks gloomy still.

And it rains again on our way back.

Managed to get back to KL at about 8:30pm.

Let's see... 9:30am to 1:30pm = 4 hours... 4:30pm to 8:30pm = 4 hours. Phew... a total of 8 hours on the road. That's 1/3 of a day.

Long Long Time Ago...

(Since I've not been blogging for a while, and someone's blog that I just read somehow reminds me of this, let me share with you some interesting story from the past)

*rewinds the mind to an era of black and white* <- Ed: haha, you played too much of that "black and white 2" game

... I got to know this girl along with 2 of her friends while I was working on a part time job. At that time, I also don't know why (can't recall), after some chatting we exchanged our contacts.

After a while, I got a surprise call from this girl. And she would talk to me on the phone for hours (Sidenote: I guess I'm a good listener :P). Because it's been some while, I don't quite recall most of the details... I think it's something to do about her relations with her family and stuffs.

After some while, I think she told me she was leaving the country for study or work I can't recall... and from then I never heard from her anymore.

I wonder how's she doing now... Hope things are well for her.

*fast forwards back to color*

Ok fine, maybe it wasn't that interesting afterall... Haha...

Anyways, time to get some sleep. Gonna have a looooong day(-trip) tomorrow. G'nite ya'll.

Untitled

Another untitled entry... my creativity is at it's all time low these days :P

These 2 weeks have been madly busy with work stuffs. First is meetings after meetings, then have to prepare myself for a couple of presentations, and then have to support customers.

Tiring... Just writing an update to let you all know I'm still alive. Hahaha. And yeah, I'm still going for my dance classes, formal and informal ones.

Oh yea... before I forget, 端午节快乐! (By the way, Safari browser is quite hopeless at posting mandarin :P)

Weekend

Last weekend has been quite packed for me... spent time learning salsa from my friend, brought a friend from the States around town, and re-installed my main PC at home.

After a few dance classes, I feel that I'm still quite clumsy when dancing is supposed to be graceful. Maybe I should shed some weight... hahaha. (Yes I realize I'm overweight)

Friend from the States whom I've known for about 7 years was in town. We got to know each other online years back, but have yet to meet. Surprising? Haha... Brought my friend around town for some sight seeing on Sunday morning.

And I have been procrastinating on my PC re-installation for quite some time. My machine has been running for 4 years probably without re-installation. Everytime there's some problem I just run the Repair option instead of doing a full format and install. Finally done it yesterday... Haha, now my PC is clean and fast, I'm so happy :P

Career Crossroad?

Hmm... had a chat with my brother earlier, and now I'm pondering this question:

Should I continue doing what I'm doing for past 3 months (quite a niche field, future in M'sia is uncertain but in other countries it has quite a high demand)... or start something totally new (niche field too, paying good money, but confirm need to leave M'sia)?

Option 1, no change needed, but need to buck up and go for some certification very soon to value add myself (don't think it's an issue)

Option 2, will have to pick up new skill sets (not complaining), have to go overseas (not complaining too).

Both looks viable. Hmm... decisions decisions...

*scratch head*

*UPDATED*

On an unrelated note...

You are The Devil

Materiality. Material Force. Material temptation; sometimes obsession

The Devil is often a great card for business success; hard work and ambition.

Perhaps the most misunderstood of all the major arcana, the Devil is not really "Satan" at all, but Pan the half-goat nature god and/or Dionysius. These are gods of pleasure and abandon, of wild behavior and unbridled desires. This is a card about ambitions; it is also synonymous with temptation and addiction. On the flip side, however, the card can be a warning to someone who is too restrained, someone who never allows themselves to get passionate or messy or wild - or ambitious. This, too, is a form of enslavement. As a person, the Devil can stand for a man of money or erotic power, aggressive, controlling, or just persuasive. This is not to say a bad man, but certainly a powerful man who is hard to resist. The important thing is to remember that any chain is freely worn. In most cases, you are enslaved only because you allow it.
