Interesting Stuff about our Brain

Recently a friend forwarded an article from the Daily Telegraph to me. Basically they show this 2D image of a spinning dancer. The way the image was set up, it gives us an illusion that it is actually 3D, and our mind proceed to interprete it in spinning motion. Some people would see her spinning clockwise, while some would see her spinning anti-clockwise.

(You'll need to click on the image to see it animated)
Supposedly, as mentioned in the article, if you see it clockwise, you're more of a right brain person (creative thinking), while if you see it anti-clockwise, you're more of a left brain person (logical thinking).
Most of us will see it anti-clockwise because through education, we've been trained to think in a logical way. For me, I see it both ways... maybe clockwise 30-40% of the time and the remaining anti-clockwise. And I've even learnt to manipulate the image so I can see whichever direction I want :P
So which direction do you see it?

Spoke too soon

Just when I was saying how I enjoyed driving recently... My new job requires me to be stationed at...

No, not Seremban... but then, Semenyih. Dang. That's about 75~80km from mah home. And it's not really my job function to be stationed there in the first place. I hope my involvement in this project ends soon.

Freedom...

Today (well, yesterday now...) is (was... ah nevermind... hehe) my last day at work. Well, nothing much, just pack up my stuffs and leave. Didn't managed to get to say goodbye to many colleagues though, as I was busy settling stuffs and documentations. But anyways, IT field is pretty small, we'll probably cross paths in the future again.

Oh and about the speed thingy on my last post... well I've been thinking... (yeah I know, everybody says I think too much. But I just can't help it.) It's really not so much of the speed. I think the joy I get from driving is when I zig zag across traffic, seamlessly... and overtaking other cars in the process (even though I was doing about 80km/h just now on some stretch of the road). I love the feel of uninterruped flow... and get a little frustruated when there's car blocking my way. I guess there is some satisfaction of overtaking other cars... kinda like that "I'm better than you" mentality in a way (yes, I'm shallow I guess :P).

Getting kinda late now, but I'm still on sugar high from the Haagen Dazs ice cream buffet just now... hahaha. Anyways I don't need to go to work tomorrow, so sleeping late is not a problem. :D

Speed

Lately I feel as if I'm kinda troubled by something... but I could not pinpoint exactly what it is... I just don't feel right.

And for some reason, driving (fast) seems to calm me down a little. Is it because of the adrenaline rush? Or maybe I'm running away from something? I really don't know...

I know, I should stick to the speed limit...

Ah... whatever. :P

Overdue Post

Last Friday had a farewell dinner at Dave's in 1U. My bestest buddy is migrating outta the country.

It so happens every Friday is BBQ night, so we had BBQ stuffs with beer. Seriously, the boss (who's also the chef) does darn good BBQ. The bacons and lamb cutlets... whoa... heavenly. I've tried their BBQed wings, which are darn good too, but they're out of stock that night.

And guess what, they even do BBQ crabs. Well it's my first time eating crabs in BBQed style... so it's really a new experience for me. Seriously, if it wasn't the hassle of extracting the meat from the shells, it would've been in my fav food list. :P

This is what's left after our attack on the BBQed crabs. Paiseh, forgot to take pic until after we finished it. :P
