Crawling.

Henry started crawling. He likes to do the army crawl. The other boys never did that maneuver so it's kind of fun to watch him move around. I was talking to my grandma and she mentioned that army crawling babies read better. We'll see over the years who will be the best reader.

Henry: "How many times do I need to ax you mommy...? Fifteen!" He always says the number 15.

At 6:45 (before daylight savings) He would say 'Mom, it's sunny time.'

Parker and Lincoln say these things in reference to Mario Kart. "Grand Prix" with the x being what it is. Referring to a solo race Lincoln says "slolo race". They both love Yukon Ho a book about Calvin and Hobbs. They call is 'Yunkun Ho'.

Speaking of his new gift that is a magician science kit.

I asked about his wand and how it was changing colors. "Is it just water?"

Parker: "Yeah I put tablets in there, not like real tablets but color tablets.

Summer 2013

Driving home on Sunday from Utah.

Henry: "I want Cars 2. I want Cars 2 Mom." Cars 2 goes in.

"I'm happy. I'm happy"

Lincoln: "My bear has been silly, he needs to go to time out. My bear has been silly, I need to spank his bum and put him in time out." He spanks the bears bum. "I spanked his bum and he cried.

Henry: "My puppy is silly. I need to pank his bum." He spanks the puppy's bum. "I panked his bum."

After church today.

Lincoln: "Mom why are your legs brown?"

M: "I decided to paint them."

I was wearing black nylons. :)

P: "Oh no Japan! I did not want Japan to be in six, but at least American came in first."

He also loved to say "Go Atlanta!" because he saw America written on the screen and thought it said Atlanta.

Parker: "We could get the phone that plays angry birds or trains. We could get dad a smartphone OR we could get one for FUN just us. Mom can we get a smartphone just for fun?"

Me: "No."

A minute later..

P:"Hey guys not a good Iplan."

After throwing a little monkey up into the ceiling.

L: "Hey Parker I know how to do it. When I grow up I can get it."

Lincoln was playing with a pin that we received from the hospital when Henry was born. He began reading it this morning as I was making breakfast, "It says Lincoln needs a treat."

Me: "It says Lincoln needs a treat? Are you ready for it?" I give him a kiss.

Lincoln: "It says Mommy doesn't get a treat."

One of Lincoln's favorite sayings; "I'm gonna trow you in the garbage."

More recently he has switched it up and will say "I'm gonna slap you on the neck."

He will be sweet too and give lots of love.

Teasing Parker one day I asked what we should name our little girl. I started naming off cities and States. Parker really likes the name Georgia and will mention that name frequently when we talk about the name of the baby.

Me: "Linc, what do you think we should name our baby girl?

Lincoln: "Um...Georgia Tech."

Spring 2012

Parker had a small beach ball under his shirt one day. Lincoln began patting the ball in Parker's tummy.

Lincoln: "Oh cute, hello baby"

We finally got our water dispenser fixed by defrosting the freezer. Parker and Lincoln went to a birthday party on the same day.

Parker: "Best day in the whole world. We got our water working and we got party favors."

Lincoln: "These make my tummy funny and then I just laugh."

Lincoln: "I don't want to get baptized."

We have some little cars from Cars 2 that the boys have been playing with. I asked if the light blue car was Finn Mcmissile. Parker said: "No, it's Finn McMickleson."

Surely Willie put this thought into them. When Willie came home he just laughed because he said he had never said it before. Phil Mickleson must always be on their minds.

Willie, Parker and I were laying under the Christmas tree to look at the lights.

Willie: "Can you smell the tree?"

Me: "Yeah, if you get close enough, here smell this." I broke a piece of the branch off

Parker: "I want to smell." He takes a nice sniff. "It smells like poop."

I thought it smelled like a nice Christmas tree but I guess it smells different to Parker. Willie couldn't smell because his nose was congested.

This morning Parker came in the kitchen after he woke up. He laid on the ground in his blanket and then sat up and said:

"Hey mom, I had a dream last night and Jesus came to our house."

I asked if he remembered any thing else from the dream and he said that Jesus didn't see his bandaid. Although, when Jesus left he did see his bandaid.

It was raining today and the boys went outside in their rainboots. Parker lost a shovel and Lincoln had been talking about it. I told Parker to go grab his shovel and then I looked at Lincoln and said...

"and why are you all muddy?"

Lincoln looked at me for a second and then said "you need to go in the house." as if to say you should not have caught me mom.

Last night Lincoln stayed up a little later than normal. He's still getting used to sleeping in a big bed. Willie went in their room to put some things away when he hear Lincoln jumping in bed. Willie went over to him and Lincoln looked up and smiled and said 'daddy.' Then Willie offered Lincoln some water. A short while later we hear a box of toys being dumped out. Lincoln was looking for 'queen' (Lightning McQueen), he couldn't sleep without him.

Parker said the prayer at breakfast this morning. After the prayer Lincoln said "Is that a great prayer Parker?"

Parker said "Yeah that's a great prayer."

Later in the day Lincoln was playing the piano. Beating down on the keys he said "Is that a great song Mom?"

My reply "Yes, that's a great song."

I'm glad that everything can be great.
