The stars align every once in a while and I think back to the time when I was blogging regularly and enjoying every minute of it.  Life has taken several twists and turns since then - two more regularly paying gigs have overtaken some of my time, along with having three active kids at varying stages of their busy lives... and finally having Wayne in a position where he is actually working two and a half jobs in less time than he had to work one just 18 months ago... and you are left with a dirth of time and mental resources to blog regularly...

but I didn't deactivate the blog - and I didn't stop paying for my domain, simply because I wasn't ready to let my passion for reading, writing and everything but arithmetic fall by the wayside...

and today, in a series of several coincidences (that are never really coincidences of course), a path was laid wherein I have the time, the drive and something that I want to say -- all at the same time :)

So what is it that I wanted to tell all one or two of you who may still receive this in their newsfeed or via email?

No, I won't be blogging regularly - heck I may never blog again after the posts I get scheduled tonight, but for now, I want to let you know that I will have a book/author review, some yummy holiday homemade whipped cream recipes and potentially a few other things to say over the next few hours - which will post as the next few day!

In closing, so far - I want to wish you all a happy belated Thanksgiving and get the jump on saying Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy Kwanza to all those who will be celebrating!

How many times have you thought "Oh - that's a great idea, I should ... (do that, remember that, blog about that ....) and then promptly forgotten it.

I was driving downtown today to drop Liam off with Wayne for a boys lunch while I went to sample the treats and eats at the 5th Annual Wine and Food Festival when inspiration hit - "That would be a perfect topic to blog about tomorrow..." I remember clearly thinking that... and then off I went to have a fabulous tapas-like lunch of rich samples - everything from a little cup of Shrimp and Grits to fabulous olives and cheese...enchiladas to soup... along with a few sips of wine to wash it down..  and boy was it good! All that wonderful rich food, combined with my mommy brain... which leaks like a sieve at the best of times... leads me to today's post ...

I DON'T REMEMBER WHAT I WANTED TO WRITE!!!

It's going to be a long day today - Wayne has to go to a meeting this morning... the never ending stream of laundry is threatening to overflow its banks and become a raging river... and of course I need to sneak in a pedi and a nap so I can be fresh and wonderful for Bubbles and Sweets tonight...

The morale of this story by the way, always write down your inspiration... before it detours to Albuquerque .. and you won't be stuck writing inane, uninspired blog entries :)
