Introduction
Hi, I’m Aidan and this is my aidan.co.uk website, online since 1997. Here, I would like to give a quick and honest overview of who I am and what I do.
What I do
Tutor, photographer and YouTuber, that’s how I now describe myself, but what does that mean? I help people to learn and improve in two of my specialist areas: Photography and Languages and I take photographs and videoclips which I use in my YouTube videos.
Photography Walks and Tuition
On my photo walks, take individuals and small groups on a walk through the city looking at architecture and share with them my unique approach to photography theory. I’ve been running them since 2010.
Photographer, Content Creator
I have always used a combination of different media in various formats: Photography, writing, video clips, audio, podcasts, newspaper articles, contributions to books, occasional sketches and music, but nowadays I bring the different media together on my AidanEyewitness YouTube channel which I started in late 2020.
YouTuber
My main project is now my AidanEyewitness YouTube channel, focusing on new construction and urban development in Manchester, Liverpool and connected cities.
They contain my videoclips, graphics and photos, including some from my archive. I write the script, record the voiceover, do the editing and upload to YouTube, adding the description, tags and corrected subtitles, roughly once every one to two weeks.
