Our theme for this blog hop is SWEET SUMMERTIME!!! The members of our design team will all be sharing fantastic summer projects, stories, tips for keeping cool and having fun in the summer with a baby along.

Here are a few ideas from me (Renee):

We done several weekend trips this summer. One we really enjoyed was when we went to the Sacramento Zoo. Below is a layout I did of my son Bryce and my hubby on his first trip to the zoo.

This summer has been great! My now 9-month old son is really starting to get around. Amongst all the crawling, I can barely keep up with him. Here's a funny little story that happened last week. I was doing some cleaning with Murphy's Oil Soap and water as well as working on hanging some things in my son's room. I left the bucket in the living room (it was not very full of water; maybe a quarter of the way) while my son, my hubby, and I were in my son's room. Fascinated by one of his toys, Bryce began to chase a ball around the room, out the door, and down the hallway all the way to the kitchen. He found the bucket and used it to try to stand, but instead tipped the bucket over saturating himself and his diaper with its contents. As soon as I heard the noise, I went running only to find my 9-month old splishing and splashing in Murphy's oil soap and slipping and sliding back down the hallway. It was the most hilarious thing and boy did he smell clean. LOL He was immediately sent to the bath.

Here's one of my favorite summer dessert recipes:

Strawberry Pretzel Squares

Ingredients
2 cups finely crushed pretzels
1/2 cup sugar, divided
2/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
12 ounces PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
2 tablespoons milk
1 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
2 cups boiling water
1 pkg. (8 serving size) JELL-O Brand Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
1 1/2 cups cold water
1 quart strawberries, sliced
Directions
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix pretzels, 1/4 cup of the sugar and the butter. Press firmly onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake 10 min. Cool.
2.Beat cream cheese, remaining 1/4 cup sugar and milk until well blended. Gently stir in whipped topping. Spread over crust. Refrigerate until ready to use.
3.Meanwhile, stir boiling water into gelatin in large bowl at least 2 min. until completely dissolved. Stir in cold water. Refrigerate 1-1/2 hours or until thickened (spoon drawn through leaves definite impression). Stir in strawberries. Spoon over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm. Cut into 20 squares to serve. Store leftover dessert in refrigerator.

I created this layout for ScrapFit work out #23 at http://www.scrapfit.blogspot.com/. I also did it use the the flowers I made for my tutorial over at Scrap That Baby. Check back soon for the tutorial.
For the scrapfit work out we were create 1-3 of our own embellies. I made 3 clouds out of patterned paper with inked edges. I also made the flowers out of ribbon and tulle.

Scrap That Baby Prompt #7

"A Few of My Favorite Things"

I decided to participate in this challenge although I ended up forgetting to upload the night before so it could be posted on the blog, but I thought I would share here anyways.

June Scrappy Jo DT Creations

I was super excited this month because we were able to choose a couple of things from the store to work with. I chose EK Success Circle Punch, American Crafts Photo Sleeve, K & Co Blossomwood Mat Pad, and Jillibean Corrugated Chipboard.

The first two uploads were created to be side by side. I love using the photo sleeve as an additional way to scrap pictures. It creates a neat effect of mini layouts.

In the layout below I used the circle punch and cut the circles in half to create the scallop border. I used the Blossomwood paper to create somewhat of a puzzle effect.

This last month the DT members were sent a couple lines from Pink Paislee such as Queen Bee and Bayberry Cottage as well as Fancy Pants Family Line.

Scrap That Baby Prompt #6

This prompt had to do with the Belly.

Here is the layout I came up with of my dear son inside.
