(The Daily Mail) Mike Huckabee is headed back to the Holy Land.
The two-time White House hopeful, former Fox New Channel weekend host and former governor of Arkansas will be America's next ambassador to Israel, a presidential transition official confirmed to DailyMail.com on Friday. He is scheduled to meet with President-Elect Donald Trump Friday at 2:00 p.m.
Huckabee, an ordained Baptist preacher and electric bass player, will become the tip of Trump's spear as he seeks to shake up U.S. foreign relations in the Middle East, beginning with relocating America's embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
'That's going to happen,' the transition official said. 'Governor Huckabee is going to see it through.'
Despite congressional approval for moving the U.S. embassy, American leaders have historically tap-danced around the issue of where in Israel America's diplomatic footprint should fall. No other nation has its embassy in Jerusalem.
Still, Israel's Knesset and Supreme Court are located in West Jerusalem. And the nation captured East Jerusalem in the 1967 'Six-Day War,' taking control of it from Jordan.

Jesus Attacked by Utah NPR Station
January 10, 2008
***UPDATE***
An official from Public Radio International, the parent organization that carries “Fair Game with Faith Salie,” called to say that the offensive skit has been pulled from its website and an on-air apology has been given.
We are satisfied with this outcome—it effectively ends this issue.

JESUS TRASHED IN ANTI-HUCKABEE SKIT;
OFFENSE AIRS ON UTAH NPR STATION
On January 7, an anti-Huckabee skit trashed Jesus on a radio show, “Fair Game with Faith Salie.” It aired on KCPW, Utah’s National Public Radio station. Here is a transcript of the offensive segment:
“We are lodging a complaint with Ed Sweeney, KCPW’s general manager. This kind of programming would be over-the-top on a shock-jock station, never mind a station funded by the taxpayers. We would also like to know who was behind this assault on Jesus. Therefore, we are asking for an investigation. Whoever it was, he or she used presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee and evangelicals as foil, saving the real sucker punch for Roman Catholics. This is despicable on several counts: it is blasphemous and bigoted. But it may also be motivated by a political calculus, making it really dirty if it is.”

[Woman’s voice]: And now another Huckabee family recipe leaked by his opponents.Catholic League president Bill Donohue responded as follows:
[Male Voice]: Tired of bland unsatisfying Eucharists? Try this Huckabee family favorite. Deep-Fried Body of Christ--boring holy wafers no more. Take one Eucharist. Preferably post transubstantiation. Deep-fry in fat, not vegetable oil, ladies, until crispy. Serve piping hot. Mike likes to top his Christ with whipped cream and sprinkles. But his wife Janet and the boys like theirs with heavy gravy and cream puffs. It goes great with red wine.
[Woman’s voice]: Now that is just ridiculous. Everyone knows evangelicals don’t believe in transubstantiation.

Huckabee Described As 'Christian Socialist'
By Susan Jones

(CNSNews.com) - Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee -- who won the Republican caucuses in Iowa Thursday night, just as the polls indicated he would -- will be all over the air waves Friday morning, trying to translate his Iowa victory into momentum in New Hampshire.
Polls show that Republicans Mitt Romney and John McCain are running neck-and-neck in the Granite State.
"We've learned that people really are more important then the purse," Huckabee said Thursday night. He frequently mentions the fact that he was outspent 15 to 1 by Romney. Nevertheless, Huckabee beat Romney, 34-25 percent.
Huckabee's populist message and Christian roots resonated in Iowa. Nevertheless, some conservatives are dismayed with Huckabee's victory in Iowa.
Richard A. Viguerie, the author of Conservatives Betrayed: How George W. Bush and Other Big Government Republicans Hijacked the Conservative Cause called Huckabee's win "bad news" for the Republican Party.
"Mike Huckabee is a Christian socialist. He is a good man, but with a Big Government heart," Viguerie said in a news release late Thursday night. "He is the most liberal of all the Republican presidential candidates on economic issues."
Viguerie said Huckabee is inclined to solve any problem by passing laws or launching another government program. "If like President George W. Bush, you'll love Mike Huckabee," Viguerie said. "Conservatives in New Hampshire and the other early primary states had better wake up, and make certain the Huckabee victory is confined to the subsidized ethanol fields of Iowa."
Rush Limbaugh, the conservative radio host and opinion molder, also has criticized Huckabee: "Ladies and gentlemen, Gov. Huckabee, mighty fine man and is a great Christian, is not a conservative, he's just not," Limbaugh said this week.
"If you look at his record as governor, he's got some conservative tendencies on things, but he's certainly not the most conservative of the candidates running on the Republican side."
