I don't think I'll be blogging for some time. I don't think anyone's reading anymore. I also apologize for pictures in previous posts being unavailable now. I had a little scare over at Flickr and I panicked and made all my photos private, which changes their URL. And, if you switch them back to public, it changes the URL to yet another new one. Anyhow, my photos are public again and if you're interested in keeping up with me, add me on flickr (yarnpixie) or just visit my photo page here. I always keep my flickr current and with descriptions.
Leave me a comment if you do read on a regular basis. Maybe I have more readers than I think...
Hope everyone is well. See ya when I see ya.

More Doctor, Ugh!

This was a "good morning, Daddy" photo that we sent Stu last Sunday morning after our monthly sleepover at Nana's.

This is what I looked like everytime I prepared breakfast or lunch for Morgana a few days last week, after washing my hands and scrubbing to my elbows each time. Stu took care of dinners. I had some kind of digestive illness all last week. It was so taxing and uncomfortable. My tests came back normal on this sickness, so who knows what I had.

I made Morgana a robot head, at her request.

I crocheted a hair donut in a color of yarn to match my hair, which is important because my hair is too thin to really cover a hair donut well. I love it!

My baby dragon!
Speaking of baby dragons...

My friend, Christy, requested a pair of crocheted baby dragons. They're finally done after a week of fighting off illness, a week of procrastination because she was out of the country for over a week and then another week where I had that digestive illness.

This is Little Miss's favorite bedtime "story" right now. Reading excerpts from recipes for bedtime feels weird to me, but she loves to look at the fun pictures while I fill the silence with instructions.

My mom asked for a simple travel mug cozy since her two favorite travel mugs are stainless steel and slip when she tries to pick them up with really dry hands. She asked for a simple double crochet cozy in black.
Morgana and I are also planning to go down to Southern Utah with Nana (my mom) to stay with GGMa (my mom's mom) and her husband for about five days next week. I'm so excited!
Well, it's getting close to bedtime, I'm getting tired and still need to update my Ravelry projects. Goodnight all!

The Wedding: Part Five - The Honeymoon
Follow Me
by Uncle Cracker
Okay second post of the day, yay! The honeymoon!
[All photos clickable for larger views.]

We got slurpies after the wedding when we had changed and started out for our honeymoon.

I love this picture of Stu! He looks so handsome in his new khaki shorts, flip flops and "Just Married" shirt!
I got Stu and I these shirts as part of a wedding present. The shirts actually got us some free guacamole and sour cream for dinner at Costa Vida. Not much, but that's okay. That wasn't why we wore them.
This was the morning after the wedding at a hotel in Salt Lake, before heading off to Mesquite.

We're on our way to Mesquite, NV for our honeymoon.

A lavender farm Stu spotted on the way. Purple as far as the eye could see. It was beatiful.

I took a picture of my tummy the morning after our first night as man and wife, hoping that there was the beginnings of a baby in it. There wasn't. But, from this day forward, my tummy and possibility of a future baby has been called "The Maybe Baby".

Arriving in Mesquite, NV for our honeymoon.

I loved the different kinds of palm trees everywhere.

This is where we stayed.

The fountain in front of the hotel we stayed in. It was huge.

Hubby was looking for a movie theater in the phone book and I put my hand on his and then I thought, "That would make a nice picture." It's grainy, but I still like it.

Isn't he handsome? Our first night in Mesquite, NV.

We took a day trip to the Grand Canyon during our honeymoon.

Stu surprised me with a sushi dinner after we got back from the Grand Canyon. It was the first time I had ever had sushi. I almsot cried because it was so cool that he did this for me and the food was SO good. I know, I'm a dork, but the whole expirience just seemed to move me. He's made a sushi monster out of me. I can't get enough now. Oh, the place we went is Sushi Masa in Mesquite, NV. If you're ever there, I highly recommend you go!
I actually ate a piece of ginger by itself. It was THICK and HOT. I almost died, haha.

Califonia roll. I know it's so American, but this is one of my favorites. I've also since adopted, shrimp tempura and vegas rolls as favorites as well.

I had to try at least one thing with raw fish, so I had a salmon roll. It was quite good!
We returned two more times during our trip for lunches. I LU-HUV sushi!

These knitted sushi keychains were on the register at Sushi Masa.

Stu won $261 dollars on $4 on a slot machine one morning while getting coffee for us from Starbucks in the hotel lobby. So, we got massages! The spa gives you a day pass with any service, so we enjoyed the mineral pools, steam room, quiet room and all the free juice and tea we could handle. It was so relaxing!

This was the view from our hotel room. My God man! They really are everywhere!

I just wanted to take a harshly artsy photo of us in the middle of our funtabulous time.

That is all.

We had to do a buffet once while we were there. It's required when you stay in a casino town, right? So, we went the last night there. It was nothing special though... I would've rather had sushi.

This sign made an ass out of me. When we arrived in Mesquite, I saw this sign from across town and told Stu to drive towards it. But I couldn't see "next exit". It was blocked by trees and buildings. So, yeah, we found the sign... and found a dead end, instead of our hotel.

Bye, bye Mesquite. We had a blast!

As you may or may not know, my niece loves hats. She got to play with Uncle Stu's hat when we got back from our honeymoon. Just had to include a picture of this girl's sillyness.

OH MY GAWD, WHAT A HOLIDAY!
Photo Album and Knit & Crochet Photos updated!
I'm going to try and squeeze a whole lotta holiday into a small post. I spent most of the day today trying to straighten out the mess I made with opening and deleting a bunch of e-mail and etsy accounts, adding and swapping e-mail addresses on other accounts I have tied with my e-mails, just to get an etsy username that will work for me. I dunno why they can't figure out some way for you to either change your name or delete and register again with the same e-mail account. Ugh. But, I think I have everything straightened out now. But, I also spent a lot of time labeling and captioning my photos on my flickr.com accounts. It's getting late, I'm getting tired. So, maybe we'll have a picture book story post! Yay!!!
Polly's bedspread. It's finally done!!! We gave it to her December 27, 2008. She says this is something she will pass down in her family. I'm SO honored!
"Room for rent."
Stu once said that the bedspread was getting so big that we'd have to charge it rent. Now that it's usual space behind the door is empty, it's weird.

The Peanut got her Peanut for Christmas. Pattern published on Ravelry and you can find the free pattern here.

We got Danika a Playskool Busy Ball Popper toy for Christmas, she loved it... for a little bit anyway. She eventually expressed that she'd had enough.
I have video of her opening a gift and playing with the one we got her, but Blogger won't load them, just chews them up and spits them out AND squishes all my post code into one lump, grrr. I'll try to post them again later.
You can also see more pictures of Danika opening gifts and playing starting here. (Photo browser to the right after the jump.)
The candies I crocheted went on our Christmas tree. Mom saw them when they visited and said I needed to make some for her tree now, haha.
I made this in secret for Ryn for Christmas. I was up until after midnight into Christmas morning to finish it!
I did an overlapping back so the pillow cover can be easily removed for washing without having to put in buttons or zippers. The k2, p2 ribbing helps the edges lie flat and gives it a cute touch.
I told her I can wash it to help it lie flatter and tighten up a bit, but she doesn't want me to take it back now, haha.
Ryn requested a pink and blue bookscarf. So, she got one today, only took me two days.
I gotta tell ya, (Miss Polly, I love you and loved making that bedspread for you, but) now that I'm done with the bedspread... I feel like I have my super speedy crafting powers back. I feel like I'm zooming through projects and getting so much done. It feels really good.
Man I've done a ton of baking since my last post! (Clickable for larger view.)
(L to R) Baked apples with brown sugar glaze just because. Cinnamon rolls baked Christmas morning (I took a shortcut with frozen dinner roll dough, definitely recommend it if your pressed for time, they're still delicious!), a pumpkin roll for Dad (he did us a huge favor), Gingerbread cookies (this is the second try, the first dough was unmanagably sticky, even after adding a ton of flour, this recipe still needs some tweaking though, needs to be sweeter. My royal icing turned out perfect though!), Stu and Ryn got their own special gingerbread cookies.
We had a great time at my office Christmas dinner! Complete with butter balls...
Christy crocheted this blanket/wrap for her daughter. She was so excited she showed everyone in the office, it was so cute!
I know you've already seen the ornaments, but you just gotta see the whole tree... complete with teddy bear topper, which Stu found on my computer desk. See, the candies and what was in the tote with the tree were the only things that went on the tree. We had all voted that it was too cold to get the rest of the tree decorations from the storage closet outside. But, I think it turned out pretty beatiful!
I ended up with Jazz tickets from the white elephant gift exchange at my office. I stole them on the last steal!!!
Our Christmas morning present opening starts here. (Photo browser to the right after the jump.)

My Dad made me this ring for Christmas.

...and we got dumped on Christmas day night! This is what we woke up to the day after.

Stu got a World of Warcraft boardgame with his Christmas money and Ryn and I hope to learn... sounds complicated, hope it's not too hard for me.
Well, it's the last day of Christmas vacation and it's past my bedtime. This small post turned into a monster and I hope you enjoyed it. =)
