Its been such a long time

The last time I posted anything here was in 2007! That's like eons years ago!
Lots of things have happened since then. Not in any chronological order here goes:

1. Did my 1st Triathlon in Feb 2008 (Nearly gave up within 50m of swim - I came in the last 4 people of the whole race)
2. Did my 2nd Triathlon in Jul/Aug 2008 (Was the 100th finisher)
3. Did my 1st 21km Marathon in Dec 2008 (Ran with bladder full of blood too)
4. Got my driving licence in Jan 2008
5. And last but not least, I GOT MARRIED in Dec 2007

The milestones in my life have been fruitful and it really showed me how much I can push myself to the limit. All the runnings and trainings I did was amazing and to seriously, I can never have done all these crazy stuff without my buddies in school.

Many things have happened and now the lil one is coming our way. Yes, another important milestone in both our lives. Ex-boyfriend (aka Husband) been pretty excited about Lil Bubs but as for now, we have mixed feelings about its gender. A mth before, the gynae said it would be a boy and this month, he said it could now be a girl. That's really funny if you asked me. The Lil Bubs being playful.

So, my plan of doing my 42km Marathon have to be shelved as I would have a marathon of my own on the very same day! Kudos to me!

:: slowly but surely ::

i've been doing my runs around the neighbourhood and my runs will last for a whole hour without stopping. yes l.uthien, you my inspiration. It does help knowing someone out there is doing the same thing as ya.

when i first started, i felt like i was dying and it was only 15mins into the run. but slowly, you'll get into the rhythm and of course having good music helps a lot.

as what she recommends, i do sprints here n there too. esp when I am passing a bus stop. (damn paiseh u noe!)

insyaallah this will continue and i hope i can be fit for the coming run in the next coming months!! Yes, 21km was suppose to be the goal for this year. We'll see...we'll see...

:: attack ::

Today, I'm feeling very anxious, very nervous and I'm not too sure why is that so. The job is giving me anxiety attacks and yes I do get cold sweats too. (or am I just sweating too much?)

So yeah, the a.ppraisal time is here and things are not soo great for us here. But gd news is, I don't think we are moving anywhere till end of nxt year.

I'm beginning to feel attached to this area. I can say hello to the Kopi Uncle and to the Epok2 makcik next door.

It's also amazing whenever people asks me where's my workplace. I would say Jln ***** or near A*** St and they would immediately say, "Oh jual kain eh nak?" I would just smile or at times I would just say, "A'ah I sell many2 kain. Datanglah!"

So yeah, I do hope that we do not have to move out of here anytime soon....

:: My 1st 10k Run ::

I completed it!! I did it! Though I'm ranked no.2918 and I completed it at 1:25:14, I COMPLETED my 1st eva race. As I said to her, I felt like dying at the 3k mark. I couldnt believe that running from Esplanade all the way to Marina Sq was only 3k. GIVE ME A BREAK!

But he pushed me on. I must say, he help me lots during the run. He kept saying, "we run till the drink pitstop" or "we run till the next bend". That was super encouraging and I thank you D!

If you are asking me if I ran all the way, then you must be CRAZY! I walked after the 5k mark. We ran and jogged from then on.

I do like the run/walk through Shenton Way. I cant explain the feeling but it was superb. There's nobody around, no cars, no busy office workers rushing to work. Its just you, the other runners, the bangla workers looking at ya and
the supporters. I love the supporters lah. They just gave you all the extra boost you need.

From Fullerton Hotel to the Finishing line, I ran all the way. The last 400m, I ran as though my life depended on it. The energy around the area was so high and you feed off it. But it was pretty scary too seeing the 21km runners dropping like flies around ya. I saw a couple of them fainting right next to me.

Yes, I am doing it again and Yes, we have hopes for our very 1st half marathon. Yeeehhhaaaa BRING IT ON!!!

(PS: I maybe short, I maybe stumpy, I maybe ugly, BUT I finished my run!! Hmmph)
