Last night we headed over to Tina's for homemade spaghetti and pumpkin carving.
Andres and Tina's niece, elbow deep in our pumpkin goo! Austin, Madison and Emily's family working on their seed collecting too!
Austin digging deep!

Connor hanging out with Rica, looks like a comfy spot to chill.

Tina and Connor, Bestest Buds!
Just adding the finishing touches While Connor calls it quits earlyThe outcome!
Our's is the ghost on the far left...I am pretty happy with our short, fat guy!

Watch out Martha Stewart

It's time to add another notch to my sewing belt... I have succeeded at the 'pillowcase dress'! Heidi linked me to this blog and she inspired me (i'd also like to point out Heidi was the lucky winner of her last giveaway)... as well as a hand full of women on etsy.
Forget patterns, pins and zippers... I have found my calling. Now, I promise not to get carried away with this like I did these, but I have started a sign-up sheet for special orders. (which I vow to not start till I finish Connor's 1st bday invites...her party's aug.3rd and were super excited!)
They are so much fun and I am now able to whip one out in under an hour!!! I'll post pictures tomorrow after I try it on Connor. I'm super excited to go to the fabric store this weekend... just don't tell my mom.

Almost finished

So Heidi asked to see pictures of Connor's finished room and since I'm close enough, I'll go ahead and post them now. I still have a few finishing touches to add (flower night lights, pictures to hang and dots to paint), but this will give you a pretty good idea.
Here's a little back story to this room. When we moved in it was painted this BRIGHT pink and I love it. However, Connor's room before was a soft pink and brown so I am trying to blend the 2 pinks. I decided to cut the dots out of paper and attach them to the trim as a trial run. Well, I liked it and am going to paint them on permanently (when I am motivated enough) but I am worried I am taking it too far... what do you think?
